    I have been really enjoying the CKLVX CK-D41 ever since I received it a week and a half ago. Female vocals are particularly nice since "s" and "sh" sounds are tamed by the frequency response dip at around 6 kHz.

    thanks for the review, how would you compare the tech vs hype 4?

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      D41 has a little more bass impact, isn't as balanced in the upper, similar stage width and depth. Hype 4 is better detailed and resolving, slightly better tone and timber, better layering, slightly more controlled in the bass and uppers. Both are excellent with the differences being mostly in the technical abilities.

      Top has more mid bass presence, little elevated mids and treble, little better detail retrieval and resolution, not as full sounding. Top is more fun leaning and the CKLVX is more balanced all-around presentation.

      Yeah the D41 treble is a little more balanced and defined.

  • @jakefoxx7978
    @jakefoxx7978 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I think I found an eartip for the CKLVX that makes it indistinguishable from the Hype 4 (at least in terms of pure sonics). Azla SednaEarFit Vivid Edition eartips, they bring out more flavor from the midbass, redirect the mids to sound more balanced between male and female vocals whilst still complimenting the tonality of lead instruments, and they "wake up" the treble so that it comes across as being more enthusiastic/less dull. I almost can't tell the two iems apart now, but I'm pretty sure the Hype 4 still has the better technicalities.

      As for planar vs dd. They both have their pros and cons. Planar more about the technical abilities and dd about the natural tone and timbre. But those differences don't always apply and aren't necessarily better or worse than each.

      Personally I'd pick the D41 and the Timeless. The OH10s is better than og OH10 in my opinion. But the planar Timeless is harder to drive then the D41.

      I've not heard the P5 in over a year. I wasn't able to do a side-by-side comparison. But from what I remember about the P5 it doesn't have as natural tone and timbre, not as resolving.

      Different presentations. The D41 has a fuller, more impactful, more detailed, more resolving, more spacious and extended sound. The ER2XR is more intimate and mid centered, the D41 is extended and balanced, very cohesive.

      @@TheHonestAudiophile Hello friend, I really enjoy your content, I have learned a lot, but I have a question: I have several dac amps that have a 4.4 output balanced with 3.5 and another 2.5 balanced with 3.5. The fact is that I want to buy a good MYER AUDIO NCKLVX D41 iem and I can order it 4.4 or 3.5, will there be an auditory difference? I have thought about buying it 4.4 and a nicehck adapter from 2.5 to 4.4. The 3.5 is more versatile but I fear it will lose quality. Thanks in advance for your response. Greetings and blessings.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Personally I'd get 4.4mm and then use an adapter if you need to go to 3.5mm. Balanced will add in some subtle differences in presentation but mostly the gain and power will be noticable.

    I respect your reviews of past but thus one was highly disappointed and here's why ,
    You praise these iems and rightfully so , but then you go and compare them to 2 cheap iems that no one talks about , so if you going to give high marks for a iem then us consumers are waiting for price match and more so we'll known above price iem , because to really like something there should have been a challenge for it and you gave none . That being said I guess I have to search other reviews.

    • @TheHonestAudiophile
      @TheHonestAudiophile  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are plenty of comparisons made in the comments. If you have a specific IEM in mind for comparison, please ask. I make comparison based on price and performance and similar technology.
