Tremendous review TonyTex! Simgot has confidently grabbed the top spot(s) in the affordable DD landscape. Just 2-3 years ago ea1000, ea500, & ea500LM would have easily costs $260-70usd and up. Today customers are getting sets that offer solid build quality, great tuning, & (mostly) budget-friendly pricepoints. Simgot want all the smoke, taking on all challengers!😎

I was planning to get $200 EA1000 earlier but now I've changed my mind to get 2 complete IEMs for the same price instead- either LM or Em6L(a youtuber called HiFi ASMR said it is the best IEM in the world and i know a true master of his craft when i see one) and the new planar TWS from moondrop, golden ages. What do you think about this decision? I'm treble sensitive myself but thought i would listen it at low volume lmao as people said EA1000 is 100% better than LM in all departments and it is fairly easy to drive therefore I could listen everything even at low volume which is good for hearing
I'm glad I already own the EA1000, so I don't have to drive myself insane deciding which one to buy. :) I would definitely not pay full MSRP for the EA1000 with the LM being so close, but when it's on sale it may be worth it....was discounted by $53 during the winter sale that just ended.
I got my EA500LM yesterday I am very impressed. It sounds great. Will have to compare it to EA500. Thanks again for the review and recommendation. Love your taste
I've had these about a month...simply fantastic fot the price! Great review Akros. I wish IEM companies would offer their iems two ways, IEMs only and charge a bit more for the kit as they are commonly sold. Most hobbyist will have their own cables and tips.

I generally dig those comparisons and stay clear of reviews that solely focus on subjective impressions of a single IEM no matter if they're undermined by FR graphs or not. On top of that ... as someone who's been modding all of his IEMs (sources, etc...) for many years I really enjoy your approach to reviewing those things from a fellow modders ethos - getting the most out of what you have in front of you before moving on to the next one. I got the ea500lm. I love it. It's engaging, deeply engaging akd enjoyable for every genre i tried. Yes i have more expensive IEMs that are more detailed, more base etc but this is something special for the price.

I have just started burning in the EA1000 because i bought the diy kit for the EA500 don't know if there ever will be a ea1000 kit, but simgot is really hitting it out of the park!! By the way, i could not tell if the stock cable was satisfactory, i think you used another cable. The Graphene cable from XiNHS or IVIPQ....linked in the description is very nice. The kit for the EA1000 if it is released will basically be same as EA500...it's the same nozzles
Though very subjective, I agree with you in regards to the EA1000 as a worthy upgrade from the EA500 regarding price difference Clearly more refined with the bass quality to match.
Another excellent review Tony, thanks! I want an upgrade to the EA500, was considering the EA1000 but the LM looks like a really good iem also. Thing is I mostly listen to classical, orchestral, rock and jazz so organic representation is important to me. So.. is the extra cost for the EA1000 worth it in terms of it being more organic or will I be fine with the LM? Can the LM (with all the caveats of it being a single dd) handle complex tracks better or worse vs the EA1000?
Well as I mentioned In the review I find the EA1000 ever so more organic and warmer sounding. The LM should handle the genres you like with ease....it's a excellent item....well tuned.... excellent driver.... excellent built.....for the price it is hard to near impossible to pick faults. Ultimately it's your money but I think that the LM is the smarter purchase.

One request, I know its a lot of work, but it will massively help your peeps if you have some kinda ranking list, i really find my preference similar to mine, hence would always would want to know how you would rate the IEMs so that many can take their purchase decisions based on that! I am willing to help create one if you wish to!
Both are excellent....the LM is more impressive because it's a single driver. The difference is not huge but you can notice better timbre and tonality on LM.... slightly better resolution, mode open vocals and better quality bass. Note differences are not huge but you can notice them and of course will depend on the fit and music you listen.

That's a tough question ....really tough.....they are both excellent examples of what a dd and planar can do. I would say it's a tie as they trade blows It's down to timbre and tonality.
I had to return the mp145 which is the best sound ever because it's too big, then got the S15 which I found lame, my ew200 is much better (the mp145 is still best), returned the S15 and finally got these ea500lm and although it's sounds like an improved ew200 in a way, it does sound to my ears exactly or almost identical to the plannar mp145, which is perfect for me as I love the sound and now in a good fitting size
Could someone help me decide please? How does EA500LM compare to VE SIE? Right now I'm using the Legato and I love the bass and overall organic and natural presentation but it's too dull to my taste in some instances (I listen to all kinds of genres). I'd like something really bassy but a little brighter and more detailed but not metallic or clinical sounding (could spend extra if it's worth it). I heard lots of praise for the SIE and was going to give it a try but then I heard someone saying EA500LM is better.
They are two different IEM ..like a 4x4 truck Vs a Sports sedan SIE has amazing old school sound but lacks in technical abilities compared to LM LM is a tech beast with great bass and with the tuning noozles allowing additional tuning options LM is cheaper too so it's a no brainer

I might try tuning it, but I think I'm gonna need to try something else. I think the Legato presentation is more in line with what I'm looking for, but i'd like something more refined. Really tempted to get a VE SIE. Unfotunately there's no way for me to try them before buying. Could you please describe the differences between the Legato and SIE in a few words? @Akros In one of your replies you mentioned that they are slightly better than the EM6L. But how do they all compare to the new Kiwi Singolo. I just purchased the EM6L but can return it. I’m asking because the EA500LM is often compared to the Singolo as they are both single drivers with an emphasis on the bass.
I will have Singolo soon , only then I can compare ... but I have a hard time believing that the Singolo will be better.. the LM offers insane sound performance and the ability to still play with the noozles and make your own tuning makes it the clear winner. Compared to the EM6L and considering several aspects.....price.... performance.... versatility... Sinergy, the LM is the winner, although EM6L is a very very good performer.

How is the LM compared to the Thieaudio Elixir? That IEM is pretty niche in comparison to many other single DD sets due to the cost and sound so I'm curious which one do you think is better?

Akros - can you recommend a good quality 2-pin cable that is THIN? I don't like these big chunky multi-strand cables I have, they are too heavy and get caught on everything. I actually like the cable that came with my Campfire Audio Mammoths - quality but very thin. Any suggestions? thanks
For me it is superior....all the detail Olina OG had..... none of the edginess.....great bass timbre and tonality..... build is exquisite. Although the Olina was deemed a better Oxygen at a more affordable price, superior sonically, it never quite did that feat for me. The LM on the other hand is a better IEM than the Oxygen and by consequence better than Olina.
The price difference is so big that LM is the winner. Having said that I like LM bass more, but treble on Chopin is slightly more detailed. The difference is very very small In he Treble but noticeable on the bass.
Tough one .....they are both so good.....I like the MK2 non BA sound but BA at the same time.....it's got none of the negatives of BA and all the positives. TOP has insanely good bass.....both are musical.....hmmmmmm I'd go MK2 but by a 🏀 hair!
Olina is good but does not have the bass nor the tonality of LM. As for Magic One it's way to different to even be comparable. I love the Magic for the uniqueness , but LM is better.
@@KashanArtist hi what you can do is buy the tubing kit from SiMGOT which has those noodles and filters to tune. Take one noozle from the kit and stack a 500 and 300 filter on top of eachother on the nozzle. This already gives good result. Option two is you take the foam included and introduce it into the nozzle shaft and on the noozle you place just one 500 filter. Try it and see what you prefer
You want more clinical detailed sound or a more organic musical sound. EA more detailed ...Delci more musical. But remember EA does allow the creation of your own tuning , as the noozles are swappeble.
Interesting question.....the LM is a better iem....better quality driver means better overall performance...bass...mids...highs , are all more polished. Now can the Conch sound excellent and at times even surprise positively with it's almost flawless presentation? Yes it can....does it cost 1/3 of the price ...yes....is it a good alternative if you can't reach the LM? Yes it is.
Yes ....the LM is more polished.... obviously what you have as source will also be a factor, but Comparing Rhapsody sound to LM sound , the LM is more polished..... it's more classy. Is it a huge difference.....yes it is when you consider that one has 2 DD plus 4 BA and the other is a single dd
@@netseraph08 when I say polished I mean that it is noticeable the quality of the driver on the LM being superior, making for a sound that is clean and very precise, which the Rhapsody does well but not as well eventhough it's got 6 drivers.
I totally respect those that like them...although they are not my thing ....borderline childish even. But that's the beauty of all of this ....as long as we respect each others tastes, ideas, customs, we can all get Along !
I've said it once, and I'll say it 100x...production costs for most stock cables do no warrant their existence. No one is using them. Excited about this set but i wish they would get away from this scuff-magnet polished aesthetic they seem to chase.

I sold my EA500 so I could get the LM. The LM is exactly want I want in an iem. Warm, detailed, and smooth.

LM is better , more of an all rounder, although the Elixir is very much a unspoken gem.....amazing smooth presentation, but not as engaging as the LM.

As midrange is excellent in both of them

Olina is good but does not have the bass nor the tonality of LM. As for Magic One it's way to different to even be comparable.

I've said it once, and I'll say it 100x...production costs for most stock cables do no warrant their existence. No one is using them.
