There is something gritty , hardcore and satisfying to fit all the parts in such a compact space. The novel experience from making ITX builds work is second to none.
This is the first level. Try a 20v PIO motherboard with internal GaN DC-DC. No riser, 1 power Cable (PCIe power) 2L build with 4060 and Intel 12th-14th gen. Zillion (or JW) H610 Thin ITX. Also pretty cheap. Uses laptop RAM. Seriously small.
No, use PIO motherboard. It's cheap, it uses Thin ITX like Zillion or JW H610 board. I built a 2L system with GaN DC-DC and 4060, 12th-14th gen Intel for under 600. The money you save is crazy (the Alienware power brick was 30, the motherboard was 80-100). No riser cables, no PSU cables, just one from the PCIe power port on mobo to the GPU.
14:24 I want to bash at Antec for how inefficient the space is. 19L for a sandwich with really limited CPU cooling in a rectangular case (rectangular cases are less space efficient on a desk compared to more square/tall case) makes me want to cry. However, extra space means it’s a bit more cable-management friendly and the exterior is actually exciting. The design language would be really cool if Antec made a SAMA IM01 Pro with this design language
The L9i CPU cooler really gives me the feeling that it defeats the purpose of having a "movable central spine" for a case. The point of such mechanism is that between CPU and GPU, you can sacrifice space for one side to make room for the other. Your graphics card isn't that thick there should be enough room for a taller CPU cooler. Having both a 2 slot GPU and a 9mm downdraft cooler feels like you're sacrificing both and benefiting neither.
That's also what I thought, and what I noticed was the ram was even a good bit higher than the cpu cooler, clearly showing that there was more than enough space to get a larger cooler in
Hi Greg, I was in Microcenter this weekend an I built myself a New system, I am in a wheelchair (cerebral Palsy) and I have built several pc's from watching your videos, I wanted to share build with you But I don't have a discord account !
This looks like a different take on the Fractal Terra and I'm here for it, but I like the gullwing doors of the North better. The only issue I have is that you can't really lay these cases on their sides for HTPC use; they have to be vertical. **Edit:** Also... Greg. Scissors for zip tie management? My man, you work on cars, you gotta have a pair of side cutters somewhere.
Greg I built my first pc in April and it's become my new favorite thing to do is tinker with stuff. Your channel has helped me sooo much!! Thanks for the good honest work man.
I've built so many ITX systems and always love seeing you highlight new cases in the market. I think they don't want to make it smaller because then it competes directly with the Fractal Terra, the original movable spine ITX case. The selling point here is having room to potentially fit a 5090, and still air cool a 7800X3D/9800X3D.
That case is stunning but, you forgot to mention Antec will be selling additional panels and accessories for the M1. The half / half side panel looks perfect 👌 so you will be able to buy a 2nd one in time
Hey, fellow Geology major here. Great review and build. I've been looking for a smaller case, and since there are zero decent mATX AMD X870 boards, it looks like ITX is the way to go. Like a lot of the features of the case, but a few things stand out as strange. Because of the adjustable center mount, you're left with gaping space at the back. Maybe if you hide that against a wall you won't see it but I'd be a bit worried about something getting in there. Also, they go through the trouble of giving you a nice front panel header connector, but the only thing on it is the power switch. I'd like to see a reset switch at least, since you can't access the power button on the PSU. Now, if they could make more of the color visible from outside - without the use of a glass panel
Nice build. It's refreshing to see some innovation coming back to the pc market. Hopefully we will see more companies doing something similar. Maybe a smarter designed case would let it be more compact without losing the functionality of standard size parts ( ATX ) for example.
It will be great, if GPU bracket can also be adjustable, like the top of it is just wasted space. Have room for AIO and flip the case upside down, or even vertical with the feet movable to the "back".
3Dprint feet for the rear, or buy ready made feet from a hardware store and stand it vertical. That would look a lot better than seeing the rear gaping open.
@@johnt.848 Yeah, the bottom feet are too small to be usable as vertical feet, since the back has a lip, that looks like it's bigger than the feet, but just removing 4 screws won't leave it gaping, unless they make the feet as inserts, thick as the wide feet. Also, Antec branding will be upside down, if placed vertical... 🤔
I have my heart set on a cube style case. The tower cases that are so popular are way too common and I have an OCD mind telling me it can easily tip over, hence the cube style. I would lay my motherboard horizontally which would then allow for a huge air cooler and a large video card. Weight and droop would never be an issue and accidental tip over is zero.
You had the opportunity to go full team red with the red-ish insides and didnt. Especially you couldve gone for a nice looking red build for aesthetics (and the fitting team red on top of it) But it turned out good anyway, very spacious i need to add
I think for a case that's as you say almost 20 liters it still looks surprisingly compact. However, there's still wasted space. For the same or similar footprint there's cases like the Formd T1, which do support a 240mm AIO, whilst also being almost 10 liters smaller in total volume. Of course I do love the adjustability options of this case too. I just wish a bit more thought had been put into other options that would benefit people building in this case.
Some of the comments got me thinking that a rectangular case with a different orientation (like a mini skyscraper) which pulls air from the bottom and expels at the top might be a fair idea. I would be wanting to keep the intake from pulling in the warm air it's already exhausting.
The colorway is nice. They should have marketing nix the "Designed by Antec in California" slogan. It just draws attention to the fact it's manufactured in "We don't want to talk about it".
That is a beautiful case. I wanted to build an ITX PC, but ended up with a full tower that has an ITX motherboard in it - yes I accidentally became one of those people. The one thing that stopped me from going full ITX was the PSU. I could not, for the love of all things cheap, compel myself to buy an SFX PSU. Those things are so expensive that back when I planned on an ITX build, it would have cost the same as my motherboard and memory bundle.
It were great if antec include some back brackets to install as for now it looks a bit incompleate when you look at the gap in the back between the spline and the case outer frame!
amazing that it's 19L and can't support a 240mm AIO, when both the FormD T1 at 9.95L & Meshroom S/D at 14L both support AIOs. the main difference is the length/thickness of GPU supported. Both still fit high end cards, however.
Just looking a B650i MB, with only one slot, i cant do much with it like add a TV card, but watching Greg is usually fun, but yeah, those tiny build extra expensive and difficult to fix, always being mindfull not upgradeable. cheers Greg
crazy how ive been looking for an itx case to use in my big rig when i go back over the road and you release this video my issue has been size and gpu support but this one might be what im looking for
I love that sff is getting more love btw should of gone with another cpu cooler like thermal right axp120-x67 or id cooling is 67-xt however thats a clean build
I love itx and have two of them, one is a tu150 that is 23L with a massive noctua cooler in it and the other a asrock b660 deskmeet at 8L. This 19L itx sandwich case is such a waste of space; my mechanic master c28 case can hold a matx mother board, massive dual tower air cooler, atx psu, and a 335 mm 4 slot gpu in a 18L case. (i know the tu150 is also massive for itx but i love cases with handles)
L9x65 would likely fit as well for an air cooler and perform a bit better. Seems like a Fractal copy tho but wider. Which is unfortunate. A little more height for a 240mm AIO would have been better. Personally I think the dana4 h2o is a much better option.
Was orienting the CPU cooler the other way not possible? With it set up that way it will exhaust right up against the RAM and IO shield, you'd surely get better results with the air being able to exit through the VRM heatsink and across the motherboard.
I love this case.. i have the o11 dynamic & king 95. Love both of those but I've been wanting to build a mini itx build and get away from the big bulky cases
Not quite the same... neither of those fits beefier graphics cards. Not even close, frankly. Different target, though those are still fantastic chassis with smaller footprints.
@gregsalazar Hey Greg, ive seen you put m.2 drives into other computers that have windows on it, my question is I have an asus tuf b550m and upgrading to a asus tuf b650m, you think i can just take the m.2 with windows on in and move it to the mew mobo and just update the drivers?
I'll never get sick of ITX builds
its like a drug
There is something gritty , hardcore and satisfying to fit all the parts in such a compact space. The novel experience from making ITX builds work is second to none.
That's what she said

The one thing i love about these builds is they are great for limited spaces. Appreciate another fantastic video 😊
Thanks for watching!
@GregSalazar of course thanks for all your videos it made me take a trip to microcenter to start my first build 🙂
WE NEED TO GO SMALLER GREG
They do make 1000w Flex PSU's now 😱
Oh would you look at that, i think we found an ant man!
yeah like Velka, Densium or those ali express 5l cases
No, use PIO motherboard. It's cheap, it uses Thin ITX like Zillion or JW H610 board. I built a 2L system with GaN DC-DC and 4060, 12th-14th gen Intel for under 600. Agreed. This same build fits easily into the Lian Li A4 H20 for example.
This is the cleanest ITX build I HAVE EVER SEEN... the color is gorgeous OH MY GOD...... I love it so much.
Now, I want to build my very first ITX Gaming PC! Thank you, Greg!
The L9i CPU cooler really gives me the feeling that it defeats the purpose of having a "movable central spine" for a case. The point of such mechanism is that between CPU and GPU, you can sacrifice space for one side to make room for the other.

If there's space Greg should really test out the copper axp90
You also might want some space between the cooler and wall to not cause turbulence. Have built a Terra with the same specs basically. Totally silent.
Also at that price you can get a way better cooler where you don't have to worry about thermal limitations from the L9i cooler.
Why this, when formd t1 exists..?
Hi Greg, I was in Microcenter this weekend an I built myself a New system, I am in a wheelchair (cerebral Palsy) and I have built several pc's from watching your videos, I wanted to share build with you But I don't have a discord account !
Never thought I'd see Antec COOKING again. Insane looking case!
This looks like a different take on the Fractal Terra and I'm here for it, but I like the gullwing doors of the North better. The only issue I have is that you can't really lay these cases on their sides for HTPC use; they have to be vertical.

I always have a soft spot for ITX builds, thanks for the video Greg
Greg I built my first pc in April and it's become my new favorite thing to do is tinker with stuff. Your channel has helped me sooo much!! Thanks for the good honest work man.
Love watching PC builds of any kind so satisfying and rewarding when it boots up
Hello everyone. Keep up the good work Greg. I have learned alot from watching your videos
I appreciate it!
Appreciate that! Glad you're finding them useful.
Presentation was awesome. Explained very well. Great job 😊

What an awesome PC. Well done Greg 👍
What were the temps on the 12700?
Wicked lil case, luv the different side panel choices. Happy holidays Greg!!
That case is beautiful, I'd like it's sliding platform in other cases.
You've been making me want more and more Antec stuff.
I love that colour combo on the case
Glad to see this because I don’t see many small builds I could use as a guide.
Of course I'll watch another pc build
damn that case is pretty
That’s an awesome build, Greg!
Building an ITX is just art, how ever i would love t o have something smaller with perfect airflow.
Best PC case at the moment!
This may be my next case, i love it!
6:48, it looks very good nice fit
Greg happy holidays good man 🎉
That case is stunning but, you forgot to mention Antec will be selling additional panels and accessories for the M1. The half / half side panel looks perfect 👌 so you will be able to buy a 2nd one in time
Greg I recommend you get yourself a pair of flush cutters for those tie wraps. Makes for no sharp corners, and a cleaner look.
Never skipping a Greg video
Let's watch another Greg video! Best part of my day!
what was the temps?
This is a great little case. I like it a lot.

Hmmm looks like a nice case and quite practical as well. I didnt even know it was available, and I'm looking for an itx case! Nice build!

I'm happy to see that more itx cases are being more modular, like the fractal terra.
If you do one of these ITX builds a week I'll still watch them, they are fun
NGL was really waiting for the line hope you'll stay with me!
Absolutely baller 🔥
I like that Les Paul black beauty in the background :)
The next version of this case will be 🔥🔥🔥
was waiting for the intro to be " this here, is another, mini gaming pc" :D
You had the opportunity to go full team red with the red-ish insides and didnt.
Especially you couldve gone for a nice looking red build for aesthetics (and the fitting team red on top of it)
But it turned out good anyway, very spacious i need to add
Another great video greg!

There are plenty of ITX cases with adjustable spine, but this looks really well build with great ventilation.
Beautiful color design.
I love ITX builds, they’re so cute lol
Love ITX build idea videos.
I have always been a full tower case builder and have built many BUT! ... After seeing this build... I might think about it.
I love PCs but don't have one. What a world i live in
i used to be like this and now I have my own gaming rig. never give up
:-) Wow! A true original!
You’re not getting one from me
I used 850w PSU with my 12700k and 7900XTX, and didn't feel right, so I don't think 650w-750W PSU will be a smart idea for that build. 8:05
I really like that case.

Evolv iTX and NZXT H210 support full size PSU. I'd wager you could shove oversize to one of those.
SSUPD Meshilicious also fit a standard PSU in their iTX case.
BEAUUUUTIFULL build!!
7:00 Deepcool Assasin V Should Be Fit In There
Thanks Greg!
I want this PC!! I guess I'll have to build one.
It were great if antec include some back brackets to install as for now it looks a bit incompleate when you look at the gap in the back between the spline and the case outer frame!
Cute little board! i could find a use for that.
I like the fractal terra but this case is definitely built better.
ITX Baby **, I love ITX builds ^^

ITX builds are the best
Wish the whole case was that red color. It’s so good.
The RX 7000 series reference card with the red accents fits this case perfectly
As Petroleum graduate it's decent to run Petrel with that setup
Wow that looks nice
You love to see it!
This man's jawline is sharper than a block of cheddar.
Sick build.
I love that sff is getting more love btw should of gone with another cpu cooler like thermal right axp120-x67 or id cooling is 67-xt however thats a clean build
Fastest clicker in the west 🤠
For me - the bigger the case, the better. Mine is a full tower XL :D
7:48 dude you really have to get a pair of cable tie cutters! You're giving me major anxiety with those massive scissors 😭
Such a huge case for such small motherboard
I love itx and have two of them, one is a tu150 that is 23L with a massive noctua cooler in it and the other a asrock b660 deskmeet at 8L. I think it's the motherboard that's faulty! Oh wait, this isn't fix or flop
:-D

Formd t1, ncase m1.
Not quite the same... neither of those fits beefier graphics cards. Not even close, frankly. Different target, though those are still fantastic chassis with smaller footprints.
This would make a better backpack pc then the last backpack pc
are you monitoring my search history? I was just looking around for latest itx build
So Greg, long term, how small will our PCs get?
@gregsalazar Hey Greg, ive seen you put m.2 drives into other computers that have windows on it, my question is I have an asus tuf b550m and upgrading to a asus tuf b650m, you think i can just take the m.2 with windows on in and move it to the mew mobo and just update the drivers?
