Yes, it works! .........watching this on my phone(Galaxy S10+), and I can hear the difference. If a bass enhancer is audible on a phone, job done! 😏👍 This is one of those life saver plugs when you get a thin or badly recorded bass or kick.
@@jvaddison Hey John, they sound very different to my ears- I compared them of course (video coming). The big difference with Low Control is the parallel compression section. It's very nicely done and works in a variety of materials - sometimes I don't even need to use the Enhance section, it's that good :)
I’m definitely going to check it out. Normally it would take at least 3 Cubase plugins in sequence to achieve this effect…and it still might not be enough to match what this plugin does.
Looked good until I checked out the price. Sure it'll save you settling uo and aux with 3 plugins on, but the price seems too steep for anyone with a decent compressor and a couple of good saturation VSTFX. This one ia going to have to wait until a hefty discount appears.
Hey Jason! The big challenge in getting a sound like this is the quality of the filters that you're going to use for the isolation of the low end. And then a really high-quality compressor with optimized attack and release settings to handle it without artifacts. I think this is what makes this plugin special- it really works with every material I thrown at it. Granted, it's not a cheap plugin for sure so I totally get your point though!
Hmm, that´s funny, i actually find it to be pretty cheap ha ha ha ha… But, then again i also buy plugins/instruments that is 2-3 or even 4 times the price of what this plugin cost. From a early age i learned that, if you want quality, you gotta be ready to pay the market price of the specific item your looking at… Let me give you an example: People say, Strings etc. is heavly priced when looking at ex. Spitfire and so forth.. Well, yes it is, BUUUUUT what you get in return, is what everybody elses is dreaming about. Also you kinda "distance" yourself (soundwise) from what everybody else have and can create ;-) Make no mistake, i totally understand you, buuuuuut we must not forget why the price is what it is, on some of the plugins. First time i heard a reall SSL compressor, i was sold. Why ? because i learned what it ment, to "glue" tracks/busse´s together… Anyway, stay cool my friend :-) Lot´s of Music Love from Dk-Denmark
Melda doesn't get the visibility they really deserve. All of their stuff sounds awesome.....that is, once you get past the, um, visual shortcomings, shall we say.
You can achieve this witha Compressor, EQ and a tiny bit of a Gate....this one knobers are gimmecky.......Im good on Black Salt Audio......Acustica Audio and Greg Wells Waves One Knob are the best Knob Plugins out there......
Pliz make a video why Cuba keeps crashing and turn off when I am working with a plugin on... and after when I reopen the project every thing is messed up like Audio takes care pitched up and every thing is out of tempo but when I was working every thing was fine....and suddenly it crushes.. Plizzzzz help. 😢😢😥😥🙏🙏
Love your work Dom… Your always spot on, and always very good at explaining things (Love it) -which is why i´ve also recomended your channel to many of my students. Stay cool Bro 🙂 Love from Dk-Denmark
Dom, why don't you have a course on Cubase? Chris (Selim)'s videos are great but he has more of a live recording approach. I think it would be of great value for you to put together a course for the more digitally/in-the-box inclined producer. I would buy that in an instant...! Ever thought of it?
There's always this chimey bell type sound all over early Madonna records; do you have any idea what it is..? And if it's a certain kind of synth, what a VST equivalent would be..? Thanks.
Nice but at 90 quid .. too much. I read recently Waves' patents used in their own bass enhancement plugins have expired. Possibly they are being used in this product.
I am going to release a video showing all the best bass enhancement plugins that I use. I think you might enjoy it and you can make up your mind (spoiler alert: all sound different :))
@@DomSigalas I wonder why not? I saw the video about Squasher, well done! But it also has 3 bands and has upward-downward compression. As far as I can see this plugin has two bands and processes only low band + manual gain knob + EQ around some frequency. This is my impression at least.
@@SoundPeaks oh no don’t get me wrong, you can create massive low end with Squasher! But you have to be very careful with your attack and release settings- Low Control seems to adapt to the material and everything happens under the hood :) The other difference is that the Enhance module is a harmonics generator. The closest thing in Squasher is the Drive but it sounds very different (which is great if you ask me!). It’s about how the final result sounds like - if you ask me, I would probably use both effects in series to achieve my bass sound !
Why do you make those strange expressions with your mouth and nose? That is only a plugin, one more from so much out there, not so important to react as if you have God in front of you! Thanks for the effort
I am getting excited about these things. To some people this might be just a plug-in , for me this is my passion- not everyone needs to be excited by the same things. This is how I talk to friends when I am excited about something❤️
The first thing I noticed was your facial expression of the sound. Show me a guitarist who can resist wowing their mouth when using a wah pedal. Music makes me feel something and the body reacts. Keep doing what you're doing. Subscribed.@@DomSigalas

Thanks a lot Dom for show us this fantastic plugin!! just bought it, can't wait to use it in my next mixing session!!
Have fun Chris!

HI DOM, IS THIS SIMULAR TO THE WAVES RBASS?

@@DomSigalas thanks for the quick response dom. From your reply and expertise i will get this plugin. Not cheap though 😟
Dear RBASS lets talk about your retirement plan lol
Great tool. Tight, indeed. That bassline is pure fire! My bass is winking at me now, I wonder why:)))
I’m definitely going to check it out. Normally it would take at least 3 Cubase plugins in sequence to achieve this effect…and it still might not be enough to match what this plugin does.
Exactly. We don’t have a dedicated plugin in Cubase for this kind of processing. That’s why I decided to make a video about it :)
@@DomSigalas thanks for making this video and all the other videos as I find them very informative…you rock!!!
It sounds great and it is easy to use!
Got This Plug A Few Week's Ago Brill Def Save's The Day
Cheers for this ad Dom. I purchased it with your discount only to find within days they are giving a 20% discount. These things happen “once” 😉
The MV2 from waves does the job very well you don’t need that

RESPEKT ❤️❤️❤️
Great plugin, it would be freat a compare in the next time with Denise BASS XXL that costs only $ 39,00 at now....

Boz Digital Labs Bark of Dog 2 is a good one for kick and it's free.
18 minute ad....reminds me of on of those old TVShop commercials.
Amazing 🤩 thanks
You are amazing dom👌
So it's a worse version of BrainworX Subsynth?
Nice, but I need to wait for a at least 50% off before I buy it.

Hey Dom... ! Hope you'd blast out the speaker cones this time ...😍👍👍
Great Video. Thank you!
I think similar results can be achieved with izotope Imager in combination with a multiband saturation plugin. But I'll gladly check this one out! :)
Yes, basically you can achieve same results with just a multiband compressor and a saturator.
There's always this chimey bell type sound all over early Madonna records; do you have any idea what it is..? And if it's a certain kind of synth, what a VST equivalent would be..? Thanks.
Probably DX7 and/or Synclavier. (Check out Arturia, Plogue and Dexed)
@@andypryce7417 Thanks, I'll check those out. It could well be the factory tubular bells preset off the DX7, played quite high up.
You can mix Michael Jakson vocals of "Price of fame" of your project and you have a hit!!!!

How does it compare with UAD Voice of God?
Very different from what I’ve heard. But I don’t own VOG so I cannot test directly.
also no auto gain button ? 🤦♂
Tried buying, but there's no way to apply your code ???
There is an option at checkout- final stage :) make sure you use the link in the description ;)
Nice Sir
I feel like you can use Ozone dynamic plugin for this and focus on the low end, $99 for this is too much
So it's like Squasher but all controls removed?
No, not really, very different to Squasher :) Squasher is a different beast - I've done a video about it if you want to check it :)
