As a kid of the 1970s and early 80s, I owned a couple of Tony's books. I'd stare at his art for hours on end...before and after I played with my Star Wars action figures. Good kid times.

Oh my goodness I just hate when a video makes my cheeks hurt so bad because Iof the unnaturally huge long lasting smile I had, but this video just brought it out of me... the nostalgia of seeing all that art I was mesmerized by in my early youth...

These books were the only ones I would ever seek. In 1983 I thought this is what earth would be by now.

Great video from a wonderful channel.
Art books have provided me a much-needed escape from real life. I have my easy chair set up with a desk, a lamp, a blanket and a cup of coffee. I spent many hours with dragons, unicorns, space battles, pixies, dark forests, giant robots and medieval knights.
My art books are the best investments I ever made.
My 3 favorite art books, all available from amazon, are:
    - Fantasy Art Paintings by Mike Hoffman
    - Infinite Worlds by Vincent DiFate
    - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

Wonderful! :-) Fond memories. I think, though, that the illustration at 0:14 is by Chris Foss...

Unfortunately the image at 0.23 isn't by Tony Robers at all. Cowley's "Spacecraft" book got the credit wrong. It's actually by Colin Hay as seen from a website of various covers done by him here

I wondered about that too. Glad you set the record straight.

Great collection but not all of these are by Tony. I see a few Colin Hay images in the mix.

Grant Louden thanks for that information, I'll have to go back and double check them..

Only one at 0.23 is by Hay. The one at 1.37 I'm not sure about. Other than that all the rest are by Roberts.
