You are the only quilting vlogger I can bear to watch. No inconsequential chat, no music, no hesitation or faffing around. Just clear, straightforward instruction given in a warm, friendly manner that gives the viewer both the encouragement and confidence to try for herself. Superb filming and editing, Matt's eye for inspirational colour combinations. your delightful personality---to say nothing of the breathtaking quilts that result!---all combine to make a new video a moment of perfect enjoyment. So, many thanks for the pleasure I've had from Jordan Fabrics over the years, including the staff whose faces we never see but who have been so courteous and helpful when I've purchased fabric or patterns from the company. You are truly the best. All good wishes from London, UK.
Yay!! The Gammill is back up and running! There is nothing as satisfying as seeing the quilt getting quilted on your long arm after you have done the piecing.
Hey! Your quilting machine is back in working order----hip, hip, hooray!!!! I'm sure it's been buzzing away since you have so many quilts you weren't able to quilt while it was broken.
@@jordanfabrics8380 … oh, wow! I didn’t remember it being black. I’m glad you got it fixed - I could watch that thing run all day! Oh… and I loved the Laurel Burch fabrics! I’ve been a fan of her art/designs for many years. So colorful!
In every tutorial there is a pearl that I learn from. This one was the border. So simple instead of measuring the quilt 5 times and then the border! "Why didn't I think of that?" And the ironing. It makes so much sense! You and your staff are a valuable addition to my quilting world. Thank you so much!
I love your show. I love the quilts but most I love your teaching. I’ve been sewing for over 60 years and learn new techniques all the time on your show. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Oh, NUTS‼️‼️‼️‼️ I didn’t know that Laurel Burch fabric was a thing. Deep breaths. There are all those nifty fabrics and projects I already have waiting for me. But, wait. I should probably get some LB fabric right now because maybe there will be a worldwide shortage and then where will I be? Donna: such a delightful pattern today. Thank you
Thanks, Donna! I'm always so excited when there is a new Donna Jordan tutorial! I love Laurel Burch, and the fabrics look gorgeous in this quilt. And I always love seeing the longarm in action, too. It's so satisfying.
Oh goody! I have a 1948 and a 1953 Singer sewing machines, and the way the fabric just “glides” is really nea! After the 1953 was serviced with a cleaning and new motor, it runs like a champ. I played with it by just making circles and lines this way and that way. Thank you for your inspirational video! : )
Glad you demonstrated partial seaming, Donna. Lots of sewists are afraid to try patterns with partial seams, but you've shown us how easy they really are. Well done (as usual) and thank you!
Wow! I just happened to have bought a quilt kit about 4 months ago using this pattern! So, now that I watched you make it, I think I will make it soon. Thanks for doing that pattern. I learned a lot and I'm glad I didn't make it until I saw your video!
Hi Donna, Love your videos!!!!!! I really appreciate your videos, easy to follow, love the quilts you make, don't ever stop making your videos :) Vivian
I love the black background with the bright colors. I admire your ability to coordinate colors. I look forward to your weekly tutorials and welcome you into my home. You and your crew are super professional. Thank you for the work you do to bring us such excellent videos.❤
I never would have tried this quilt by looking at the quilt on the front of the pattern. In fact I didn’t even watch the video when it first came out but I am out of new videos to watch. Donna, you almost always pick better colors than what shows on the front of the patterns. I really like this one & can see myself making it with some special prints I don’t want to cut up too much. Thanks so much for your video tutorials Donna. It must be very time consuming to make them & the quilts. It’s very much appreciated & I’ve learned so much from you.
You are marvelous! Thank you so much for your tutorials. Because of you, I have made so many quilts I might not have tried were it not for your tutelage and enthusiasm. Happy, happy, joy, joy!
What a beautiful quilt, I love the brightness of it. Would be a great pattern for all the Tula Pink fans out there 😊 The quilt in the giveaway is beautiful, too!
I love this quilt, Donna and you have inspired me to make this quilt period I think my grandson will love it you give me so much confidence to try things because once I understand how a pattern block goes together, it’s much easier for me to make it, your instructions are excellent period thank you so much, Donna and Matt I hope you stay safe from all the fires and smoke.
Dear Donna, I watch your videos regularly and I'm always excited for the next quilt. This one is just fantastic and the colors shine beautifully on the black background - really great👍👍👍
Donna, it looks like you have a new long arm machine! I know you are so happy to have your machine to get your tops finished! This is a bright and cheery quilt! Looks like a good one for a teen!
Hi Donna great to see a new video my spoil for the day. Just love this pattern really cheerful- thrilled to see the Longarm back have missed it 💃 Last year i made two quilts Twinkle Little Star, My colours where much the same as the bright colours in your new quilt. Thank you so much for what you do and the daily emails with new ideas or patterns i may have missed. 🌻
Another fantastic quilt. The Wyndham fabric used in the log cabin quilt is truly beautiful and so intricately pieced. Keep making the fantastic You tube videos, it gives me joy just to watch the process on non sewing days! Many thanks ; )
I'm a fairly new follower and I just started quilting and you are my absolute favorite. You give so much detail, even on a pattern that isn't free. You give clear step by step details and you don't rush through any of the steps. You make it so easy to understand and I love how you show other options you can do for a quilt.
Doing partial seams has always been intimidating, but you make it look easy. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial & generous giveaway. I appreciate all your hard work helping us become better quilters. Happy Quilting!❤
Donna your calm clear explanation of how easy this block is to sew together is just super. The close camera work and steady moving to place the pieces makes it something to try. Thank you I really appreciate all the time and effort.
WOW,I Can't tell you just how much I adore this eclectic spinning quilt. I almost popped out of my chair over the fabric.. FABULOUS! My pup , well He's very close to me each n everyday as he's always been but instead on him being obsessed and clinging to me I'm over the top clinging to him. He's older now and I've cherished everyday. However, I can't let a moment slip away without hovering with him. Every moment is even more precious then ever. So not only the fun pattern but the fabric..I think I can see a bit of my boy in each electrifying lovely print with a pup. Then there's the absolute contrast. I had to laugh out loud. Because it's a lil funny how every quilt for one reason or another can move your so much and for completely different reasons. My first pattern purchased ( not done yet) was a long cabin style with a cross in center. So that fun. But it's even better because I hear folks at away from brown / brownish toe colors. As much a I flipped for the bright joy filled wake you up, in your face, YES its a new day quilt this softer, cuddlier scrunch up inset your chin coziness just took my heart for all the same yet totally different reasons. I know, I know, wild but how exciting! Thank you Donna and the whole crew for another delightful share.
What a beautiful cheerful quilt. I love those fabrics. My husband loves the log cabin give-away quilt as well. Another great video from one of the best quilt makers I’ve ever seen. Thank you Donna and Matt for great content!
Thank you Donna, I really love this pattern, I've made 4 already, and have 2 more planned. Please keep making more videos, just love them all. Thank you
I loved how you quilted this with black thread. It didn't fight with any of the prints. This block looks complicated, but I've done partial seams before, and they are really easy. I always look forward to your videos. Thank you for each and every one. You teach me something new everything. Have a wonderful day. And God bless you all.
Hi Donna, I'm from Australia, I've been watching many of your videos and I'm very impressed with the way you explain how to make each quilt. I have been having quilting lessons for 6 months now and as I get more confident I will follow your instructions and hopefully make a quilt to be very proud of. Thanks for helping me become more confident and hope to show you something I make. 😄
Love all your videos. You have taught me how to quilt. I am very lucky that I came into your great shop before you closed it because of Covid. Wish you would open again.
Love the bright colors in your quilt! It is absolutely stunning! I also LOVE the log cabin quilt that you’re giving away. Going to keep my fingers crossed 🤞🏼and hope I win it! Thanks for all your videos!
What a beautiful quilt. The colours are beautiful and of course your craftmanship. I am surprised and disappointed to be unable to find this fabric in your online shop. Oh well, I will admire from afar.
I just wish the "like" button was a "LOVE" button or that I could give it 2 thumbs up instead of just one.
Thank you for all you do!!!!

thank you for yet another fantastic video. It always makes my day when there is a new DJ masterpiece on YT!!
Yay!! The Gammill is back up and running! There is nothing as satisfying as seeing the quilt getting quilted on your long arm after you have done the piecing.
I couldn’t agree more! Thank you!!
yep have missed it for sure
So happy you have your longarm back!
Hey! Your quilting machine is back in working order----hip, hip, hooray!!!! I'm sure it's been buzzing away since you have so many quilts you weren't able to quilt while it was broken.
Yay! The quilting machine is back. That looks suspiciously like a brand new one! Am I right? How fun!
No, it is the same Gammill we bought used 8 years ago. Still runs great (needed a new power supply in the controller).

Hi Donna, I love the black quilting choice. It doesn't compete with the blocks. Happy Quilting. ❤❤❤
