Into The Spiderverse, Mitchels Vs The Machines, and PIB; The Last Wish are some of my biggest inspirations to become an animator. I’ve always been interested in animating, but I don’t know that I would have decided to pursue it if it weren’t for these movies (among some others, mostly tv shows, like Rise Of The TMNT, but they aren’t that relevant).

Wouldn't surprise me these movies are doing wonders to animation!

I love that Spider-Verse made the animation world so much broader. I really enjoy a lot of Disney's animation movies, but for me they became a little visually boring. It all looks the same, very good and beautiful, but it's the same over and over again.
I'm so excited for Across the Spider-Verse, Mutant Mayhem, the second season of Arcane and everything else that is coming!

I hope that we continue to have that variety that comes from a genuine place and not just a jump on a trend. We saw with Disney that too much of the same thing gets boring no matter how attractive it looks.

@@sefoschannel I think a lot of movies, except for Disney, will feature a mix of 3D and 2D animation, since that seems to be the most popular style right now. However with shows like Love, Death & Robots or Star Wars Visions we get a lot of different animation styles on a big stage. I could totally see shows or movies in some of the styles presented there. So my hopes are high, I am optimistic that we'll see a lot more different styles in the future, assuming movies like Across the Spider-Verse and Mutant Mayham will be successful.

great video, i want to become a 2D/3D animator and i'm so happy things are changing and people are realizing that trying to make animation look as realistic as possible is Not the best option!! we can create whatever we want on a computer !! let's explore and create and experiment and fail and try again the possibilities are endless

"Fail and try again" is truly key here we're looking at real life evidence that taking a risk can do wonders!

when i clicked on this i thought it said "1M views," needless to say i was definitely intrigued with this video and i fully believed it to be that popular, but looking at the amount of views and likes makes me disappointed that you aren't a huge channel. keep up the work bro, this underrated as hell 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

But, "Puss in Boots" wasn't a success because of its animation; for some people it was indeed one of the points of critique in their otherwise very positive reception. It was a success because it had a very good story, very good music and very good cast voicing very likable characters. Oh yeah, and it didn't have politics or tired pandering in it, unlike 99% of the drivel that gets made these days...

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough but that's the entire point of the video. None of these works have succeeded *solely* because of their stylized animation (Spider-Verse included). They made use of a successful idea that enhanced works that they already put a true effort into in their own ways. What I hope is that it remains only that and never becomes a trend recycled to death just for the sake of it.

Oddly enough, I find the first Puss in Boots to be better animated. I’m not complaining about stylized animation, but I actually find this to be an overhyped concept. Some of it is fantastic, some of it is very meh.
