I am a 57 year young woman. Searched you tube for my specific leak problem. Finally found this one. Now I’m ready to diy repair. So detailed and helpful. Thank you!
Thank you sooo much, you just save me over $350 at the dealer!!! the part cost me under$15 at Amazon it took me like 20 mins from beginning to end! Thank you again!!
Pretty sure this is why my Kia Sportage is leaking washer fluid. Just ordered the part, looks easy enough to do myself and save real money. Thanks for video!
Excellent details. Thank you for making and sharing the video on the windshield washer pump replacement and the tips. God bless you and your family. Keep up the good work.
Just did mine after watching this video and a couple others. I took the wheel off and then east access to the plastic fasteners and pretty straight forward from there. Took me about and hour ish start to finish, not too bad. I bought a whole new reservoir with pump and everything for $97 online rather than mess with all those small seals.
Thanks! I noticed a little ww fluid under our 2017 Sorrento when I was changing the oil the other night. Guess I know one of the chores I'll be doing this weekend. Thanks for the tutorial. It seems simple enough to change the pump out.
thank you! for the tutorial, super simple to fix, I repaired the same on a 2015 Santa-Fe. Did not take off the wheel, had just enough space, also used the existing grommet as you did in your video. 15 min fix and a $26 part from AutoZone will see how long it lasts! thanks again!
Thanks so much for posting this video. Not only did you save me the labor charges to get this pump replaced, but your amazon link saved me $100 on the part (O'Reilly's and my local Hyundai dealer both want $130 for the part). You saved me tons of time and money....thanks.
My 2016 Santa Fe - exact same problem as you showed. It had been leaking quite a while but lately leaked the tank out in a few weeks. You saved me a lot of time by knowing exactly how to approach this! Because I am cheaper than you, I lightly sanded the plastic where I could get to it, sprayed carb cleaner on it (to remove the grease). Then used some good 2 part epoxy (24 hr cure) on it all around the joint (not just on the crack). I'll report back in a few weeks if this is successful but I bet it will be fine. Saved the $24 for a new pump! PS, I use distilled water in my tank. I've found that when it dries, there are no water spots and it never freezes where I live.
Thanks so much for posting this. I was able to do the repair with your video without much trouble at all. If it helps anyone else, one of my tube fittings had expanded and wouldn’t stay on when I ran the motor. I fixed this by just snipping the expanded end a little to create a snug fit. I live in Florida so the heat probably caused the tube to expand on that one side (the side facing the road).
Yeah, great video. Confirmed that this is a problem part since we have two Santa Fe Sports ('14 and '16) and they are both leaking. Replaced the '14 today, and the tutorial was spot on....thanks for the great video.
Great work in the steps on replacing the pump Glen! And great tip on using a piece of tape to ensure that you don't have any leaks afterwards. Have a good one and be safe...
If you have a 2016 Kia Sedona, your pump will actually be even harder to reach, facing the front of the vehicle. I ended up removing both screws that fasten the tank in so that I could maneuver the tank some to and get the pump removed and replaced, then put everything back in. The 2016 Sedona's pump was only $12 on Amazon, handy. This video was very helpful even still, thank you!
I used this pump to replace the pump on a Ecell 3100 PSI pump. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxEU8wdEWW31diRsOawsCNfWEho39M27qd The model # is PWZ0163100.02 for those looking for a matching pump. It went on very easily - 10 minutes at most. Feels like a lot more power than the original but that's to be expected. Can't tell a difference when cleaning with the wand or floor sprayer. Would recommend as it was cheaper than most I found. The maintenance free aspect is definitely a plus too. Have used it through about 6 tanks of gas and have zero issues so far.
Thanks for this video! My Mitsubishi Outlander has a leak as well.. this will give me a good idea how to take apart and inspect. Here in Canada, we go through windshield washer fluid quite a bit.
Followed this video for my 2014 Hyundai Veloster. Worked like a charm. I would even contend the pump was more easily accessible than whatever vehicle you used in this demonstration video.
Fantastic work !!! Do you think maybe using crazy glue and sodium bicarbonate will seal it for good , also some types of epoxy . Again just for emergency to get you through , your idea of getting a new pump is the ideal way to go.
This was the exact same problem I found on my 2017 Kia Sportage today. Thank you very much for the help. Might jb weld that little white connector part?
You're welcome. I would not attempt the repair with goo. Comebacks are no fun. Pump link pinned at the top of this comment section and in the video description..

I'm thinking I tugged something out of place... was getting dark so I left it for diag tomorrow... have you had any similar issues?
Same issue, but did a workaround on mine. I just popped off the check valve and hooked the hoses straight to the pump, works fine. The check valve only appears to check one side anyway, probably to prevent one side receiving fluid a split second before the other. I didn't notice any difference without it though.
I've got the same leaking issue going on with my 2017 Kia Sportage. It's still under extended warranty, so I took it to the dealership today to get fixed.
Great tutorial, my Santa Fe 2013 she didn't has any engine problem ,Did you advice me to change the purge control valve to a void any engine issues in the future or no need to change it and waiting for the some signs of valve malfunction .
Great video! thanks, I knew exactly where to go, mine had a crack in the exact same place. If you want to fix this on the cheap try a cleaning up the crack with some sandpaper and a little JB weld.. good as new. 😂

I just tested my pump from 08 Passat and after blocking fluid intake side and blowing other side bubbles appeard in unexpected place. My 2004 Golf look like your unit. My leak is where the motor plug into the tank. I just bought a tank seal from FPC Euro. If it was not for your video. I would not have thought to buy a new seal.
I couldn't find any cracks causing the leak. I removed the grommet and cleaned everything up. I then reinstalled using plumbers grease on the hose barbs and grommet. Leak fixed!
Looks exactly like what's wrong on my 2015 Kia Cee'd - only difference is, there's a lot more room between the pump and the bumper on a Santa Fe than a Cee'd! 😂 I've ordered a replacement pump on Amazon, hopefully it'll be as easy to change as in your video. Thanks for posting this @ozzstars_cars

Good luck anyone else trying this, £17.88 for the pump is cheaper than taking it to a garage! Just remember to reconnect the electrical plug before reattaching the wheel arch trim!
