  • BREAKING: Chad Daybell was sentenced to death Saturday for the murders of his wife and his girlfriend’s two youngest children in Idaho.
The sentence was handed down after an Idaho jury unanimously agreed that imposing the death penalty would be a just resolution to the triple-murder case. The sentence marks the end of a grim investigation that began with a search for two missing children in 2019. The next year their bodies were found buried in Daybell’s eastern Idaho yard.

You can say that about other churches, but it seems particularly odd w/LDS. Note: That is why I have doubts Lori knew her children's fate. Chad manipulated her, lied and said they were off with some other members to help deprogram them. That would explain why she didn't know why they were missing. Chad had her under his control, brainwashed and who knows how much he might have done to her. There is doubt for me. Cults are insidious, he was controlling.

Chad will be in isolation for the rest of his life. He’ll be in a tiny cell with no human interaction except for the guards and I’m sure his kids will visit him. It takes a long time, due to appeals, to get the actual death penalty. It differs from state to state but on average they are similar. Lori will be able to create a new normal because she’s in gen pop, she can work, make friends, get involved in the different activities or education the prison has to offer. Chad will have his memories. What did he expect would come of his actions. Chad will be telling himself he’s the 2nd Christ being put to death.

Why didn't the Judge have some strong words for Chad like he did with Lori? Why didn't he even thank the Jury for their service? It was a strange, anticlimactic ending to a very long trial.

That is my fear. I’m concerned he didn’t offer any mitigation because he wants to be a martyr. And it’s very concerning that his children are so willing to shrug off their mother’s death. I am afraid they’re so warped they may not see the truth of this matter

He’s doesn’t have followers. Please stop spreading that, you are literally creating that reality which literally contradicts what we all want. Again, he doesn’t have followers, there’s no “cult.” It was factually a small group of friends and nothing more. Please stop contributing to the delusion, because that’s exactly what you’re doing.

@@Kassel1982 the website Avow had thousands of followers- respectfully, the more we call out his beliefs and specify that he was following a dangerous set of beliefs, the more people are likely to be wary if introduced to such ideals
