- Living with a vfr800fi. I recently bought a vfr800 because I think it will work well with my Royal Enfield Himalayan.
It's great to have 2 completely different motorcycles, but not everything is rosey
#royalenfieldhimalayan #vfr #vfr800f
Definitely a privilege having two very different bikes. Heartily recommended!
It is a privilege. I'm after a 3rd now. I'll share more when it happens
Really? I have three. A tourer, sports bike and an Himalayan.
I took the epic gloves around the NC 500 last weekend Adam, it was absolutely amazing, proper bucket list trip.
Sounds cool. I'll love to do it one day. I have been to the Highlands before but unfortunately I didn't have a bike.
We as bikers will never be happy and settle for what we have. It’s never ending window shopping 🤦🏻♂️
The amount of times my wife has caught me on autotrader I think she would prefer it was p0rn
@@SloboloboVFR 🤣👌🏼
It’s so true gumtree is main app lol wife not happy about it, and the amount of reasons to get different bike or keep this one omg , and no idea why I look on bikes I can’t afford lol 😂
True. You always seem to have a nice mix.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs thinking of changing one 🤣
I love having loads of flavours of bikes. Servicing, tyres and all that jazz definitely makes it a lot more expensive tho, very good point.
To be fair a kebab is a serious thing. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do.
I've always meant to get a VFR to give a proper go. Maybe one day! They're a gorgeous bike.
Experimenting is the way. I miss the living hell out of sportsbikes for instance 😢
I'm still young. Got lots of bikes in my future. I'm almost in a financial position where I can get more bikes. Just need a garage 🙄
Trying a bike for a while lets you start to hone in on your preferred style. I've been taking my VFR down a lot of country roads and back lanes recently and it does start to give my bike a bit of a pounding after a while but after relaxing on some single tracks opening it up on some faster twisties is a joy.
I am looking at a Himalayan more and more for some lanes/light off road action and see if I like it.
@SloboloboVFR I took the vfr up a steep & narrow road but cut that footage out. It was a breeze. The vfr is capable of more than I thought.
It didn't take me very long to realise, that my medium sized GS works in all scenarios Adam & I reckon this is another reason ADV style bikes are so popular/common! 👍
I've had quite a few folk advise me to buy a Bandit 1200,so knowing you had a Bandit 600 which you loved, that might already be on your list! 😜👍
I'm tempted by the Bandit1200. I also want a more powerful adventure bike.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs The G310GS is definitely worth a look with a bit more pull than the Himalayan & amazing mpg, which I miss! 🤬🤣👍
I miss the bike hunt game I must admit, but winter will get me looking I reckon! 😂✌️
You'll get there the picture will clear up on what you want. I'm clear that I want it all.😄😄
😆 I'm happy with what I have. The adventure bike I want is too expensive for me.
Owned a vfr800fi for 21 yrs. remember how old this bike is. I couldn’t stand lack of performance on RE but now as an old codger like comfort , enough performance and enjoyment. Try a vstrom650 mix of your 2 bikes. I dont have a direct comparison but reckon my v strom is as quick bar tenths of a second up to 60 even 80. And torque and mid range without gear changes and general rideability v strom knocks spots off vfr. Don’t need to be in right gear just open the throttle and the vstrom goes. Vfr likes revving and flat below 6k rpm
The vstrom is very tempting. I enjoy the himalayan. Its great for chilled rides. The vfr has made me appreciate it more.
I have three bikes and remember that puts less wear on each and you only need the petrol in the bike you decide to ride.
PS. I had a green VFR750 and it didn't lack grunt. In fact I took it to an indicated 150mph on a track.
I think I can make it sound beefier but might wait for a bit. I'm in no hurry. I'll rather spend my money on days out whilst the weather is nice.
It is great having more than one bike, I think three is the perfect number
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs Yeah, three is absolutely enough and I haven't got anymore room in my garage.
I would just enjoy the weather while it lasts, Adam. You can buy another exhaust as part of a winter project.
Great bike combination 👍
You have a similar combination. It works well.
@@EpicAdamMotovlogs I just need to attach a trailer to the back of the Z1000SX so I can take the Himalayan to Devon & Cornwall...
I learnt to love motorbikes riding pillion with my dad from the age of six. Get a Grom for the lanes 😂
@lilynorthover8378 she's only 12 and I do plan on getting another small bike. Talking to her on intercoms will help with her to understand why I do certain things on the motorcycle
