Did you know? Meatballs actress Kristen DeBell who plays the character A.L. in the film was in a hard-core adult film before being in Meatballs. She was the main character in the film, which plays an homage to a certain famous Louis Carrel fantasy book that also became an early Disney animated feature film. She is one of the rare few who did a film of that nature "for the money" at that time who went on to have a fairly successful mainstream film and TV career. And seeing how the internet never forgets anything, the flic she was in is still out in the interwebz and easily found.
Watched Meatballs on a whim this past week. I'm sure I've seen it before but it has been a very long time. I was still young when this movie was originally released and I don't have the nostalgic attachment to this film as someone just a tad bit older than me might have. And I can say that looking at Meatballs from a fairly neutral perspective it just kind of falls flat and hasn't aged particularly well in my opinion. A better summer camp movie? Ernest Goes To Camp 😁
Born in 71 and this is one of my favorite movies of all time. I watch it at least once a month. Great review!

A 70s porno. That means it was shot on film, had a plot, production values and hair down there on everybody. The 70s were very hirsute.
If I'm not mistaken, it's Alice in Wonderland
South Florida checking in..
Keep up the good work

17:23 ...🤔...🤯 I know one that is, surely, the one that started this subgenre of comedy: M.A.S.H (1970) 💋(hot lips)💋😉
