I've been playing golf for over 15+ years and this app totally replaced any range-finder/watch on the market for me.
There is a FREE version of the app that gives distances to bunkers, front/middle/back of green, and a few other general yardages.
The paid version is $50 USD/Year or $8.99 USD/Month (Highly recommend $50 USD/Year)
You can track your stats, attach your GHIN and keep your handicap. This app is THE BEST when playing new courses. They continue to improve and also integrate with GolfNow for tee times.

Phenomenal video, thank you. I had gotten a Garmin Epix 2, just to play golf, but aren’t crazy about the Garmin OS. So I just got an Apple Ultra Watch and would love to see you play golf with the ultra on this app. Thanks and new subscriber!

I had been using a Garmin Epix 2 and their golf app, which I never really enjoyed or got the hang of…enter the Apple Utra Watch, and after finding your videos, I went golfing twice with this app and the ultra, along with my iPhone 12 max. I will be selling my Epix, now thanks to you and this app. (And watch!). Please can you do a video showing the watch interactivity on the course? Thank you new subscriber!

Excellent review. I also watched your short on course shot tracking video. My question whether the procedure “track, then at my ball” works the same when you are chipping and putting. Thanks for your efforts.
I’m sure it will, I believe you can select the club it may just skew your yardages for what club you chipped with since I don’t believe there is a “chip shot option”

Yep. I like this app too. I have the paid version as well. Why did I not realize I could zoom in???? 🤦🏽♀️I have tried it with the watch but the phone is better IMO. Also, I recommend going to low battery mode when using.
Yesssss thank you for mentioning that. Definitely do that as it can drain a bit of battery.
Nice to see a lot of carts now having USBs come equipped with them.
@@ThatGolfCouple I've been bringing a portable charger with me for just this reason. Even if my watch is at 100%, I'll keep it on the charger on the way to the course and only put it on once I'm ready to start the round. Doubly useful for when the course has carts without USBs.

I’m having issues with my gps? I have the 7 series watch. I’m sure it could be fixed but not sure how??
It's $79.99/yr usd. For you Canadian users that's about $109.00 plus the exchange fee on your credit card. Not cheap by any means. Like any golf app you have to check that the scorecards are correct for ratings & hole handicaps.
Interesting, because I'm seeing $69.99, with a current promo of $39.99 for the first year. For what you get, that's a bargain (as long as you already own the Apple Watch). Compare it to Arccos for example, and you're $100 cheaper annually, plus you have a monthly option, at $14.99, if you don't play all that often.
Thanks for the review. Question: can you go in after the round and edit strokes on certain holes where you might have input an error while playing?

The new auto track for Android released today is damned good! Tried it today with a Samsung Galaxy Watch 5!!
Exactly what I was hoping to use it for, on my Watch 5. How does the tracking know which club you're hitting, is there an option on the watch to select club?

I have it newly installed on my Apple Watch 7 and on my iPhone 13. Can't get through 18 holes without exhausting battery on both devices. Not recommended.
Agreed. It burns through the watch in 9 holes.
Does it give slope rating?? my range finder will tell me yardage with the slope calculated, does this thing?
Great question, rangefinders have that advantage to tell us slope. No slope calculations on the app.

Then you hit the type of club you used or is that the next shots club? It doesn't all was record for me. That's why I was wandering. Great video and thank you in advance.
I’m trying to use my finger move circle for check distance, but that’s not working. Do you what’s going on?
Interesting Jayden. Just tried it ourselves and it seemed to be okay. Maybe re-install the app? Which phone are you using? They tend to be alright with compatibility.
I just use my thumb and drag and it seems to be alright. Keep us posted! I wanna make sure you can zero in on those pins! ⛳️

It’s great, lasts as long as your phone does. I will say bringing a power bank or portable charger is a luxury out there. I always keep one in my golf bag. Someone always ends up needing it.
Does it suck your phones battery dry before the end of the round?
They don't seem to offer the lifetime version of the app anymore...unless I missed the link somewhere?

So what you do is find it in the App Store. It’s a separate app for the lifetime plus version (I see the price on the website is mis-listed as well)
This gives you (in our opinion) the necessary features. Then for $20/year you can get everything on the pro version offers which I’ll attach a list below.

Yeah, $50/year. You can do $8.99/month to try it out before you commit for a year though. That's what I did. If you paid the monthly fee for a full year, you would be paying twice the one time fee. Keep that in mind.
You said in the beginning that there is a lifetime fee, but all I have researched is yearly subscription

You can track individual shots at your convenience. I usually track driver distances or also if I’m curious about carry/rollout with irons

The more I look into this app the more questions I have. On the website I don't see a place to upgrade to the Plus version; only the Pro version. Does the Plus version not exist anymore?
That may be the case unfortunately as this review was made a few years back. We are noticing a lot of changes and comments over the years.
You stated that the Pro was a one time fee of $50. My app show $49.99/year or $8.99/month.

how do I open the app on my watch?
If you use an iPhone, you have to add the app to an Apple Watch on your Watch app on the phone
what's a front pin?
A pin that has been set to the nearer side of the green
Do you need premium to preview the distances on the course
You will get distances to Front/Middle/Back as well as distances to carry bunkers and what not. The premium one lets you drag the distance around when the pin is in the back or front.
Not a bad free version 👌🏼

It should be! We both have iPhones, but from a quick google search it did say it was compatible with Android phones.
I've used it on Android for ~10 years now and it works great.

It’s garbage, most of the time it doesn’t update distances when I get closer to the hole if I leave the app to check a message. I have to stay in the app 100% of the time for it to update and even then it doesn’t always update.
As if the messages are more important than the golf… am I right ✋
When you come back to the app, it does take a few seconds for the GPS to catch back up to where you are. I often find it takes no more than 10 seconds to get a good lock back to where I am.
You can't get through a round of golf without finger effing your phone texting and FB?

Haha we love chatting it up with people that have been playing 25+ years and getting their thoughts on the tools today. Who knows where it’ll be in another 10!
These apps are good, BUT they slow down the pace of play too much. I don't want a six hour round with two hours looking at a phone.......
That may be slightly over exaggerating, it only takes a few seconds to read your distance on the phone and then proceed to the ball, but to each there own!
To say I’m shocked to find out the other person in “That Golf Couple” is a woman .. would be an understatement 😬
