Not everyone likes the Ultimates figures. The MOTU aesthetic is super-hot right now which is the reason it exists. Super7 started the retro figure revolution in 2015 when Reaction started, but theyre late to the party with this. Better late than never if it hits for them.
There's actually one more MP Metroplex. I designed and printed a non transforming G1 Metroplex. Tigerblade's Lab also printed my designs at around 7 feet tall, proper MP scale as opposed to the 2 feet tall one I printed myself. 🤙🏻
Its sad to see once great franchises like Transformers and Star Wars get so mismanaged. With Transformers, you release a cartoon, then the corresponding product. With Star Wars, release a good movie, people will buy the product. With both, too many people involved. Too many people who dont know the property are making big decisions. Like it or not, live action TF movie's suffered from poor character design and very little character development. And we all know what killed Star Wars sooooo.... once TF decided to go back to some sort of animation, it fails because there was zero promotion. As for Star Wars, the more Disney doubles down on the current direction they pushing the franchise, the more the shelves will be full of product nobody wants.
I’m in on Mondo Ghostbusters, but probably just get the Egon/Boogeyman combo, the rest just singles at $100. Then Marshmallow man, then ecto 1… down another 🐇 🕳️.
"No matter...someone is making...." SAMURAI PIZZA CATS and ADV OF THE GALAXY RANGERS are 2 lines that need toys. Stingray and Jack of Hearts are two marvel heroes that need figures. so...i'm holding my breath..
Got the Mondo Ghostbusters timed edition (the Samhien additional figure), what surprised me was the Peter Veikman on his own sold out before the timed edition.
7ft tall Metro P. amazing. To be honest, when these toys are that big transformer them is too much stress on your body. Also, the base takes a lot of space.
It's sad the days of lots of Saturday morning cartoons are gone for most along with the cereal, toy commercials of the 1980s and before. So many new versions of the same characters for many toy lines these days. Wave 2 retro was great with the C3PO, Jawa, etc.
The hardest Star Wars Retro set to get is the Pulse exclusive ROTJ set with the new Mon Mothma figure and Yakface. It’s going for hundreds of dollars on ebay. Will be getting that Sketch Edition 2-pack from Origins you showed at the very end. Those are an interesting variant type.
They are closing one of the toys r us in Winnipeg. But most of there stuff is priced a lot higher then Walmart. So that could be the reason why they are not doing as good
Of all toy lines... transformers is pretty much history to me when it was my Absolute biggest interest and collection... So Repetitive, weird etc.. It all went down hill from Masterpiece, And I don't do 3rd party. Is only really missing mirage. And then I've been waiting forever for a re issue of grimlock. I have 1 but need 2 more, Is to have my three sets...just because. What A great set. And the first thing in a long time from transformers that I got excited about.
That Super Powers Superman is not a repaint. It’s a recreation of the 80s figure. It’s the Superman to get in the line if you want only one. Neca also threatened to charge you for the lab which of course they can’t.
I'm happy about the kfc ginrai.... just a bit surprised that it's a bit taller than a standard MP size like MP-44. Now have to see the Takara one. Especially the size.
I hope alpha action elite gets to have all autobots from intro scene of g1 cartoon first.Im with you to collect this thats why I sold all my blokees lol
I wonder why ft decided to go the toy direction with their ultra mag? It wasn't in the cartoon with a separate white optimus, that was toy line cheat. I think it's kinda neat they did but they usually go cartoon accuracy. I find it odd they are supposedly doing it this way. I still think it looked like the cab was crammed up on magnus' back and I'm doubting there will be a separate white prime with body armor. I won't believe it till I see it.
It does kind of set them apart though. Takara already released theirs ages ago, and then KFC took a shot with both the classic and toy color version. This way FT can offer a genuinely unique take on the character, even though they are late to the party. It works for me anyway; if they weren't doing him like this, there's a good chance I'd be content with my KFC Youth version.
I'm out on the dumpy Thundercats figures. Like you said, $5 more and you can have the wayyyy better figure. Love Super7 but scratch my head at times.

Wow
Those neca nightmare before Christmas figures are going to be FRAGILE 😂
Self restraint... I also have to do that a lot for Class, MOTU, Super 7 in general, etc Mike.😃💡👍

I ordered 5 more of the Ultimates Cobra soldiers sincevI already have one when I bought the whole wave... Army building galore.😃💡👍

The age of prime looks good the Alt mode looks like a space garbage truck 🚛😂❤
i already have the He-Man Savage World Thundercats. half of them. I like them. I never bought the original figures because i hated the size...too big

I wish Hasbro would put that Skidz mold to rest already smh
Transformers, awesome. Prices, ridiculous.
Greetings from Netherland
BBTS HAS ALL THREE of the new Jada toys street fighter figures, they all hit my pile of loot this week.
Mondo has a deal running, spend $100, save $10, spend $250 save $35, spend $300, save $50. When it ends, who knows.

Yeah I'm so happy another optimist prime number 157 and counting

My daughter loves that move nightmare before Christmas
You need to make a new segment called Toy Drama Mike so you can get that type of news with the proper voice and dramatic inspiration...😃💡👍

It looks from MS Weibo they prepare to join the MP Devy wars... Where's my popcorn

If KFC is this close to release I’m surprised the floor model at TFCon still had the paper insert. It would have been cool to see there.

@Freefall347 yes, I agree. I saw the fans toys video. Very nightmarish transformation but they did it in a unique take on the cartoon and G1 toy.
I got my incertus.
The helmet looks cool
There are too many Optimus Primes in the market in so many versions.
What wrong with the superhero’s legs they look stupid what they have done
blokees are so cheap, why not get both?
The Takara Super Ginrai is very small and is not MP scale from the few images I have seen, so therefore I will not be buying it.
i will only subscribe if you send me an action figure,.......marius(punk rules).
