Sorry to hear you were laid up. I hope you are back to 100%. I am with Fiona on this one - your best room ever (although the restroom paint could use some touching up). I love the courtyard and the patio in the bougie suite. You did not mention much about the location - but I guess you did not have a chance to explore.
Thank you, Dan - I was indeed feeling better by the time we filmed the wrap-up for this video. Yes, this hotel was quite a charming spot and reasonably priced as well. This was located two blocks back from Tarma's main square. Aside from me being sick, daily afternoon downpours kept us from seeing much of Tarma and the surrounding area - we'll just have to return!
Looked like a nice room, as well as, affordable. Depending on how hot or cold the weather gets at night, not having any heat might be a deal breaker for me. I know under the covers everything is nice and cozy, but getting out of it during the night or even in the morning would be killer. :) Nice to hear from you two again.....Rock on!
Hi jaferguson49 - it's always nice to hear from you, too! Sometimes we have to psyche ourselves up to get out from under the warm covers, like at the hotel in this video. Right now we are in Trujillo, Peru where it's quite warm and the air is nice and dry. We do have a fan in the room and that makes it very pleasant. Stay tuned for the video of this hotel.

Hello Marthe. This hotel was such a treat for us, although we paid about the same as we normally would for a much more basic place. We just got very lucky. We both love old buildings so we were smitten with Hospedaje El Dorado in Tarma. We're glad that you're enjoying the comfortable temperatures of winter in Mazatlán and tell @DwightBurditt we say "hello" next time you see him.
