Is there som etrick to extending this. you would think you would just unscrew the tightener and then pull but mine does not pull out..it will turn but not extend.
I have the same prob. Cannot unscrew the tightener to extend. Have used oil etc sprays to try to loosen the tightener but so far still unable to unscrew it.
How do you wrap the pruner String / chord ??? It's really unsafe to have it just dangling there !!! WtF !? Your cutting A branch & this chord is swinging All around, if the branch falls cock-eye or ricochets you could easily trip over said pruner string/ chord. > There has to be A wrapping Format so you can saw, than prune cut, prune cut & saw again without spending 15 mnts inbetween to re-tie the string/ chord up (and knot it to the poll body) in between not using it while you cut.
the saw on this thing is so dull I can rub it aggressively across my forearm and not make a scratch let alone draw blood. Useless unless you just want a lopper for small branches.

Most people don't understand that the saw blade cuts on the pull only.
I have one but it is rusty and missing the cutting part, do they have replacements?

It only cuts in one direction to keep from getting stuck in a limb 14 ft away. I’m sure you could figure this out yourself...given enough time.;)
