When I was younger used to spend a lot more time far away from civilisation on the moors, golden plover were one of the less common. Twite were another one nut that was half a lifetime ago now
Unfortunately not. I'd love it if it was but we've observed the bird since and certainly blackbird. Not certain these eggs will hatch, I am advised they tend to be thin shelled and brittle when of this variation so we will pop back and check and see

Yeah I was surprised by it all to be honest, must be a replacement clutch and so a rush job on the nest building.

Aye wasn't a bad run round at all! Had fun watching the whitethroat even if I didn't manage their nest, couple of months yet though!
