Yes lads thank you very much..a lot of banter is welcome. Also likewise I will look forward to yours. Watched your short of things to come..very interested in the Dunnock!!
@thegeordierambler4373 yeah earliest ever found a dunnock laid been mild though i suppose. 3 song thrush last 2 days, 2 with eggs one ready to lay and a few blackbirds too. Will get back into actually videoing next time I'm out!
Its great to see you posting for this season. Are you in a valley with its own microclimate, haven't seen any tits nestbuilding in boxes yet in my area. Got a blackbird in the backgarden on eggs, but I'm not getting out so much these days. Always worth checking out the rootplate on large fallen trees, the ground around that beech looks like its got a lot of coal fire spoil, so a possible Victorian dump.👍
Great to hear from you Paul. Yes you are completely right about a dump. Looking into it there was a farmhouse here and my mother knows the name…but like we all listen to our mothers..I have forgotten it! I told her the approximate position..and she said I should read up on it…She said exactly as you have..along the lines of a dumping ground..bottles and not so much on the pottery line..
It's great to see you back Geordie!!
