I think that is the reality. There is stats on Rescue animals growing up in captivity having had no social or skill developed to survive in the wild. In the end they starve or encroach and become a nuisance animal and euthanized
i have done lots of research on cats and its found that when a cat is outside its natural instinct turns on and becomes a hunter and a fighter it is part of who they are plus he is a tiger i do not think any animal will want to fight him and if you put Ur cat outside he will probably kill a few flies and even maybe catch a bird

It’s also sad to think about them dying in the wild as nature intended for them to die because they aren’t necessarily accustomed to it or as some humans would possibly kill them. Our dogs weren’t fixed growing up, so we ended up with multiple litters throughout the coarse of my childhood and I can always remember when the puppies got old enough to go outside and feel the grass and see the sky for the first time. This reminds me of that.

I can relate to a point. After 3 months of having every minute managed, I still remember the "shock and awe" from hearing the magical command my USMC boot camp was completed, I was dismissed. It took an hour or so to recognize I was free to enjoy a burger and coke at my leisure and without a bullwhip and chair constantly standing over me. (Nov 1983, USMC graduation). In human terms, I will never forget the impact of having earned something, much like these caged animals now recognizing their freedoms.

Rule of thumb for wild animals doing tricks: if they don't do things in the wild - only with human intervention, chances are they don't really want to do it. It's not natural. I am against animal violence in any form as well. But in many cases with wild animals being "trained", they are indeed abused. Behind the scenes, per say, can be a completely different story. Now, if the animal IS in their natural environment doing tricks, that's different, obviously. Same with dolphins. Even if they do often enjoy being "trained".) But, still, no matter the case, in my opinion, these things should absolutely NOT happen in any case. I've NEVER seen it end up anywhere good.
I grew up attending circuses without understanding the cruelty and neglect that the animals were subjected to. times and things have changed. we as a species (Well, some) have realized if we are a superior species then we must accept the responsibility that goes with it.
The tiger must have been in a cage since he was a cub. So there must be definitely someone whom he knew well. But still.... when the moment came and he saw a chance for freedom.... he must have went for it without even thinking of his caretaker. That's how important freedom is.
If it was then setting it free might not be the best course of action. If they were in the hands of a human since birth, then they might not develop all their characteristics for hunting or other things.

Our dogs weren’t fixed growing up, so we ended up with multiple litters throughout the coarse of my childhood and I can always remember when the puppies got old enough to go outside and feel the grass and see the sky for the first time. This reminds me of that.

I can relate to a point. After 3 months of having every minute managed, I still remember the "shock and awe" from hearing the magical command my USMC boot camp was completed, I was dismissed. It took an hour or so to recognize I was free to enjoy a burger and coke at my leisure and without a bullwhip and chair constantly standing over me. (Nov 1983, USMC graduation). In human terms, I will never forget the impact of having earned something, much like these caged animals now recognizing their freedoms.

@Niko Kapanen Dogs are domestic animals. Dolphins, bears & seals are not. They shouldn't be taught tricks, they should be living either in the wild where they belong, or in a sanctuary to live their life freely & safely.
As for them enjoying it, I doubt it. The only reason they even do these "tricks" is for food.

But here's the the with animals - how do you know they're enjoying it? They say so? No. If it weren't for food they wouldn't even be doing it in the first place. If it weren't for humans, again they wouldn't be doing it.
Rule of thumb for wild animals doing tricks: if they don't do things in the wild - only with human intervention, chances are they don't really want to do it. It's not natural.
All animals are smart, of course. But just because one can do more tricks than the other does not measure one's intelligence.

I am against animal violence in any form as well. But in many cases with wild animals being "trained", they are indeed abused. Or someone eventually inevitably gets hurt, which IS avoidable; & in turn the animal gets put down. It's not always the win/win situation it seems to be on video, or even in person. Behind the scenes, per say, can be a completely different story.
Now, if the animal IS in their natural environment doing tricks, that's different, obviously.
If the animals (that are being trained) are actually happy - & are NOT forced to do these "tricks" for food (circuses, Seaworld, etc), & are NOT abused (hit, left with no food/water, yelled at, locked up in a tiny cage, etc etc) that's fine - as long as nobody that's not a professional is near by & the animals ARE taken care of: get the proper enclosure, get the proper food they're supposed to eat, clean water, etc. (I am talking about animals that seem to often enjoy training, such as dolphins, etc. I am NOT talking about animals that are often "trained" such as lions, tigers, & bears, seals, etc - they need to be left alone, either in a sanctuary or better yet: the wild. Same with dolphins. Even if they do often enjoy being "trained".)
But, still, no matter the case, in my opinion, these things should absolutely NOT happen in any case. I've NEVER seen it end up anywhere good.
I grew up attending circuses without understanding the cruelty and neglect that the animals were subjected to. times and things have changed. we as a species (Well, some) have realized if we are a superior species then we must accept the responsibility that goes with it.
