High Moon made two of the best Transformer titles, and a Deadpool game, and what was there reward? Having there titles D-listed, getting a third game shifted away to a random studio, and making content for Destiny. Yup, that's your fate at Activision, that or a COD map, ain't that right RavenSoft.
That's just sad. These guys made best Transformers games and best Deadpool and then they were dropped dead.

To be fair, the deadpool game was kind of lame.

There is one point where you can control Metroplex for one single button prompt, but it is glorious.
I still play this and _Transformers: Devastation_ every so often. This one is just a solid-to-good game period that happens to be about Transformers.

there's this easter egg at the start of the optimus level where he looks at a picture of his axe and goes like "aw man I miss you baby"

Sucks that the servers were shut down for this game. It deserves to stay alive.

I remember not having the money for all the dinobot and insecticon dlc so I just bought the chest pieces so I could have the transformations.

Reason nobody wanted to play it anymore was that people were cheating in the games and with people cheating in the games nobody wanted to play them and with nobody wanting to play wfc foc No money for activision if activision wasnt making money from wfc foc since it cost money to keep servers open they just shut them down They dont care about if people liked the game or having fun playing foc wfc they cared about money. Activision are a greedy company and bad one to.
Another tragedy of 2020: I got to play War and Fall online, on PC, for approximately 4 months before the pulled the plug...
That story hurt me personally I lost a lot of collectables due to people breaking them or even taking them
I left my Nephew alone for 5 minutes when I was 13, and he destroyed my entire lego city. I didn't even try to rebuild for a year because whenever I looked ate it, I just got depressed.
The 2 CG trailers are amazing for this game and I remember watching like those teasers for War for Cybertron like they had a website and would tease a little bit for the trailer and yoing me was so hyped
I didnt know they took them offline. The multiplayer was actually fun af too, it did a good job making each class feel unique.
Also I dont think you play as Metroplex, but I know for a fact you play Grimlock and it's the best level.
Zane Jones yeah pretty sure they. Pulled the plug same times they removed them from Steam because of liscencing issues
The multiplayer for this game was so fun, rented it in high school and loved it.

Watching Optimus drive around is giving me flashbacks of Arkham Knight. Which is ridiculous how a Transformers game makes me think of Batman.
here's the part where I *could* call you out for using the wrong Optimus art.
However, it's understandable, as it's from the "War for Cybertron Trilogy Siege" toyline, not to be confused with the "War for Cybertron" toyline.

That's the boxart for Power of the Primes Leader class Optimus.
I'll be honest, when I heard that they were coming out with a War for Cybertron toyline/tie in show, I thought it was an adaption of these games.

Best dinobot origin. I never expected Grimlock to make me feel emotions beyond "look at this dumb t rex bot"
That cinematic of Tidal Wave transforming in the PS2 Armada game was what made me love that character so much. The entire level you were just running around in is now a huge figure just strolling knee deep around in the ocean attacking islands you're flying between. It was great.
I remember this back in its hay day for the 360. The multiplayer was legit one of the best I had ever played. It was so fucking fun doing slayer death matches with 2 good teams. I played the car and not to brag too much but I think i was one of the best at it.
The car had different load outs but he had the best weapons for dealing fast damage.
Sniper Rifle- making him the go to if you wanted to snipe.
Pistol Rifle thing- not as powerful or long range as the Sniper Rifle but lethal at mid range because of headshots.
Shotgun and EMP Shotgun: I don't remember exactly what they were called but they served kind of the same role one was more powerful and had only 2 shots before reload the other did less damage slightly more range and had more shots to reload.
All of these weapons were fantastic on the car. Who also has some of the best mobility abilities in the game. The one where you can dash mid air jump in any direction. Cloaking which was actually effective. It had others but those are the ones I remember using the most.
Usually you'd bring a combo of one of the two shotguns and a longer range weapon. Sniper depending on team composition and map. As soon as the map start you transform into a car and B line to the areas you know the enemy will try to capture and cloak yourself, you try to flank around them then move in surgically with the dash ability empty the shotgun into one of them then dash backwards transform and RUN. Harassing them at range with the sniper/pistol if they don't chase you and outrunning them if they do isolating either the enemy car or jet in a 1 v 1 scenario while disrupting the enemy team comp for your team to deal with 3 v 2.
When in car form you had boosters on the left and right side letting you cartwheel to the side mid air. You have a standard booster. In the hands of a good player if they don't want to take an engagement as a car they don't have to. They can play hit and run gorilla tactics and pick off enemies quickly. Man I loved this game.
I would absolutely love more of matt playing this game god it brings back so many memories
This was one of my favorite games as a kid, happy to see so many people still enjoy it today. I'd love to see you play more of this. Oh and Bruticus is a playable character too if that's any incentive to continue playing.
So many memories of this game and accompanying toy line...the characters have more kibble on their backs in the game than on the actual toys, FUCK trying to transform Bumblebee and Cliffjumper into vehicle mode, and there was NO way I wasn't going to buy Metroplex after playing this...even though there were almost a hundred stickers to apply.

War for Cybertron is a gem too, sucks that this one got rid of the Co-op campaign feature.
My biggest question with this franchise was always this. WHY does Megatron CARE about where the autobots leave to? Bitch you WON!!! The autobots are LITERALLY hauling ass and leaving the planet with their tails between their legs.
This game is easily the best of the TF video games. I liked Devastation but it was SO repetitive. This one’s worth a second episode!
I still play War and Fall of Cybertron. And have them both on the 360 and PS3.
I just beaten War the other day. I will say the lack of a couch co-op felt like a missed opportunity. It kinda felt like it was meant to be played that way at times. Other than that, there were some really hype moments, like the boss fight with Trypticon in Silverbolt's chapter was epic!
In terms of my favorite video games, it's up there with Darksiders 2!

This game is my ABSOLUTE favorite of the series. Metroplex is not playable, there was word that DLC he was going to become playable but... we know what happened to high moon.. But you can play as Bruticus, and play as grimlock!! Which is AWESOME.

THE best Transformers game still. Def play more. You get to do EVERYTHING you could possibly want to do in a Transformers game. Play as a combiner, play as a Dinobot, EJECT FREAKING CASSETTES as Soundwave. It's great, and it's a shame High Noon was kneecapped before doing a proper third game.
You don't play as Metroplex, I think you can give it commands like "shoot this" later in that mission, but that's about it.
There are later levels where you play as Bruticus and Grimlock tho.
Does the part at the end of the level count? The part where you cartoonishly smash [REDACTED] over and over again. That was fun. That was very fun.

Ironically, I'm playing this game for the first time as of now. I am disappointed that the multiplayer is online only, because I really wanted to give it a try. But man is this game fun!

The Megatron level where you storm iacon is my favorite level in any videogame.
This was such a great game (the high moon studios transformers games were so good). I definitely enjoyed the relatively recent platinum beat-em up also. I wish they would bring back this series!

Iirc on the stage that you ended early on, you can use Metroplex to call in airstrikes to nuke enemies on the battlefield.

Multiplayer for this game was hype.
Friggin love both Cybertron (War/Fall) and Devastation. Sucks what they did to those companies... Just rebeat those 2 couple months ago, still hold up, just as awesome.

You unfortunately do not get to play as Metroplex, but you actually get to play as Bruticus for a level and a half.
But nothing in this game compares to FUCKING METROPLEX

This game is my very reason for hating Activision.
High Moon made two fantastic games for the transformers franchise.
And what was their reward?
Being thrown into a pit to make small stuff for larger games and franchises.
All while Activision d-list the games digital versions and create a next gen version after removing the game from the backwards compatibility list
Should play through this again. i played through this game 2 twice. its ashame this game doesnt scale to 4k.

I remember fighting Tidal Wave... I also remember it being a pain in the ass to shoot him and his tiny head with the green rockets as they were the only thing that did considerable damage, music was cool though. I would love to see you play through the rest of this, it's an awesome game
