Sarah is my absolute favorite author, i’ve been with her books since 2017 and utterly in love with her writing. I binged ACOTAR (since i’m a year later now there are 5 books currently waiting for the 6th) i wanted her to feel her writing again so i picked up ToG and so far (Empire of Storms) i’m super hooked up! I strongly recommend all of her series even though i still haven’t read Crescent city and the houses.
I discovered SJM because of ACOTAR like six months ago and the way her books had impacted my life is unbelievable. Now I've just finished crown of midnight AND I'M SO HYPED FOR HOF. By the way I loooved this video💕💕

Maas is a love-hate author. Laura Tello I once a upon a time used to looooove her books and finished everything in like a week lol. But then once u sit down and read about some of the issues other people have with her and try to see through their point of view u will understand. My problem was that I just realized the manipulation with her characters was higher than other authors. Everyone loved only loved Aelin and she painted characters who were a certain way in bad light cuz she didn’t think highly of them. This may feel like a rant but it’s just I have stopped reading throne of glass. It was after Manon and Dorian and thinking how dumb, sezualized, and toxic it was. It’s less in ACOTAR and I love that series. Hoping crescent city is better

Khadiza Akter since I haven’t read throne of glass and I’m not so used to epic fantasy (I think ToG is epic fantasy lol) I’m quite interested in giving the series a try. I’ve read that her characters in throne of glass are kinda cliche and very sexualised. I’ve also read that her descriptions are very vague and not so in depth, but Im not such a critic reader, as long as the book makes me feel goosebumps or really strong feelings towards the characters, it’s a success for me. I’ll update u as soon as I read acotar (I actually can’t wait!!) thx for the response sweetie ❤️

I was kind of hesitant on picking up crescent city because while I do love the ToG and ACOTAR series (except ACOWAR), I did sometimes find them frustrating and wasn't sure if I wanted to start another series by her, especially one where the first book is 800+ pages, but I think I might have to!

Well that's literally me! I just finished the ACOTAR series and I want to start TOG but I'm not sure in what order. I heard that The Assassin's Blade is important for the story but I don't know when to read it. After the first book, after the second book,...? Does anyone know when?
Im at Tower of dawn too and the main reason im struggling with it is because of the INSANE cliffhanger we got in book 5 only to have a whole ass book of Chaol and Nesryn mucking about the south before getting to know what happens to Aelin in the last book and I just felt be-trayed 😂 Also: +1 on Heir of fire! Loved this video a lot. I read ACOTAR In January and it was my first Sarah j. Maas book and absolutely loved it, so I bought the other 3 books. Next I bought the TOG book set and after debating to myself if I really should invest myself on a ongoing series I ended up buying crescent city. I just love her writing so much, she gives me what I like which is plot, a healthy amount of romance and some nice sexy times lol
My first SJM series was ACOTAR and I absolutely loved it. I’ve only just started reading the TOG series. I love her writing style and it’s truly amazing. I can’t wait to read through the TOG series.

That helps one write narratives for book trailers and your excited presence inspires musicians like me who perform original music that represents such excitement for characters and authors. Loved your focus on Sarah who is a queen and l like her take on comic book characters.
I can not tell you how nice it is to see someone be a hardcore fan for SJM still. Everybody hopped on the hate train a while back and made me feel like garbage for liking them in the first place. Thank you for the intro to SJM work. Obviously now all are anxious to start crescent city, but I have missed Catwoman as well. I liked both Throne of glass and ACOTAR, probably enjoyed the first more, though the second was definitely more fantastic.
Each book in the ToG series blew my mind more than the one before. I binged the first five books 3 or 4 years ago (Tower of Dawn was not published yet) and i was so obsessed with everything. It's rare for me to love the characters, the plot and the world building equally but this series did it. I was so invested in it. Then I read ACOTAR and i really didn't like it but I still read ACOMAF and,,,, I'm still screaming about it today 😂 I wasn't a big fan of ACOWAR but i loved the novella and i can't wait for the next book!!! I read Crescent City during the lockdown and honestly, i thought it was AMAZING. top Sarah J. Maas. I'll reaD anything she writes. I'm on Heir of Fire as far as ToG goes. I've just been so intimidated by the size of the book. Though knowing it's your favorite gives me the motivation to try to keep going again. Sidenote: This reminded me of when i tried to put my friend onto Sarah J Maas, and I gave them 3 of my Throne of Glass books to borrow... I love the ToG series. I still need to read the last two books and the novellas. Crown of Midnight was my favorite. I loved it so much it gave me a book hangover. lol I read ACOTAR, and I gave it 5/5 stars. But I didn't continue with the series though. I'm gonna have to. I bought Crescent City (House of Earth and Blood - would be good if I had the right title. lol). I started to read that but then stopped. I need to get back into it. Khadiza Akter i think it’s fair to let her make her own decisions on whether or not she’ll enjoy the series. everyone has their own opinions, but it’s definitely important to let people enjoy what they want to enjoy without making them feel bad for enjoying it.
Khadiza Akter since I haven’t read throne of glass and I’m not so used to epic fantasy (I think ToG is epic fantasy lol) I’m quite interested in giving the series a try. I’ve read that her characters in throne of glass are kinda cliche and very sexualised. I’ve also read that her descriptions are very vague and not so in depth, but Im not such a critic reader, as long as the book makes me feel goosebumps or really strong feelings towards the characters, it’s a success for me. I’ll update u as soon as I read acotar (I actually can’t wait!!) thx for the response sweetie ❤️

Girl, you are GORGEOUS! And I love your personality! So glad I stumbled upon this channel. I was kind of hesitant on picking up crescent city because while I do love the ToG and ACOTAR series (except ACOWAR), I did sometimes find them frustrating and wasn't sure if I wanted to start another series by her, especially one where the first book is 800+ pages, but I think I might have to!

Well that's literally me! I just finished the ACOTAR series and I want to start TOG but I'm not sure in what order. I heard that The Assassin's Blade is important for the story but I don't know when to read it. After the first book, after the second book,...? Does anyone know when?
Im at Tower of dawn too and the main reason im struggling with it is because of the INSANE cliffhanger we got in book 5 only to have a whole ass book of Chaol and Nesryn mucking about the south before getting to know what happens to Aelin in the last book and I just felt be-trayed 😂

It got me so hooked on SJM - starting the TOG series now! I've read Assassin's Blade, Throne of Glass, and Crown of Midnight, and I am bursting with excitement for the next book. I also can't wait to read ACOTAR, but I think I'm going to finish TOG first hehe
Loved this video a lot. I read ACOTAR In January and it was my first Sarah j. Maas book and absolutely loved it, so I bought the other 3 books. Next I bought the TOG book set and after debating to myself if I really should invest myself on a ongoing series I ended up buying crescent city. I just love her writing so much, she gives me what I like which is plot, a healthy amount of romance and some nice sexy times lol

Thank you for the intro to SJM work. Obviously now all are anxious to start crescent city, but I have missed Catwoman as well. I liked both Throne of glass and ACOTAR, probably enjoyed the first more, though the second was definitely more fantastic.

Each book in the ToG series blew my mind more than the one before. I binged the first five books 3 or 4 years ago (Tower of Dawn was not published yet) and i was so obsessed with everything. It's rare for me to love the characters, the plot and the world building equally but this series did it. I was so invested in it.
Then I read ACOTAR and i really didn't like it but I still read ACOMAF and,,,, I'm still screaming about it today 😂 I wasn't a big fan of ACOWAR but i loved the novella and i can't wait for the next book!!!
I read Crescent City during the lockdown and honestly, i thought it was AMAZING. top Sarah J. Maas. I'll reaD anything she writes. I do hope her next books will have more diversity. it's my only complain about her books, she could do much better. Like, Nehemia. please... 😒

I was looking up Crescent City reviews before I started and I came upon this video and loved it so much! one of my new favorite booktubers wow. I haven't finished Tower of Dawn or KoA either despite being a huge SJM fan too, lol (the size of the books intimidated me and I was really busy with university and have just put it off).

I'm on Heir of Fire as far as ToG goes. I've just been so intimidated by the size of the book. Though knowing it's your favorite gives me the motivation to try to keep going again.
Sidenote: This reminded me of when i tried to put my friend onto Sarah J Maas, and I gave them 3 of my Throne of Glass books to borrow...
It's been over 2years and I'm sure they've lost them. 😭 Oh well, that New ToG cover is calling me anyway 😂😂🤷🏾♀️

I love the ToG series. I still need to read the last two books and the novellas. Crown of Midnight was my favorite. I loved it so much it gave me a book hangover. lol I read ACOTAR, and I gave it 5/5 stars. But I didn't continue with the series though. I'm gonna have to. I bought Crescent City (House of Earth and Blood - would be good if I had the right title. lol). I started to read that but then stopped. I need to get back into it. It's good to see a video where there's positive talk about SJM and her books. Thanks for the video!
