I have been following you on this project, now some months later obviously, with great interest. Quite well done and I really appreciate your naming the products that you used as well as the firms that did such first rate parts fabrication. I did not understand the remark you made about not using copper line for the brakes but a better material. Would you mind telling me what that material is? Much thanks.
I was just typing about the brake flaring tool to say get an ‘on car tool’ and you held one up saying you’d got one 😁 Anyone thinking of buying a cheap tool just get one of these instead of the other type!
I love the Draper on car flare tool, for DIY jobs like mine it's perfect. Ant at Autostyl let me borrow his fancy tool and it makes things perfect but it's definitely one for a workshop space environment.
Nice looking build. The CAE shifters are nice as ever, just not exactly cheap. Those flare tools are shit. The clamp portion wears out and even cranking it tight as possible doesn't always work, plus the dies that go into the end of the line to make the double flare like to break and fit rather sloppy in the line. If you're going to do more lines in the future, I'd invest in a good one. MAPP gas is what you want over the standard propane torch. It will bust those bolts free alot easier if an acetylene torch isn't available the MAPP is the next best thing. You'll probably want to swap those seats for some Recaro's, Corbeau's, etc eventually. Those aluminum seats are light but super uncomfortable. The seat risers are nice, and they look pretty good in there. Clean work so far.
Thanks, it all started when I took the heavy full size rock and roll bed out for a 1/4 drag event. On the way over it felt so much better, then I added some power and it escalated a bit
Know the pain with the brakes. Particular those bloody mounts. i cut mine off in the end, was the only thing that could be done. If in doubt, get the grinder out.
What ever do you mean "boring"? This is great! Love these in-depth build documentations
Ha thank you. Some people enjoy them, on the analytics only 30% of people are still watching so its not for everyone 😎👍
Great to see the progress, can't wait to see it up and running.
Thanks bud, its been great fun. Hopefully run it at Perran later in the year :-)
Didn't realise Opie were so close to you dude, very handy! Looking forward to seeing this thing giving it the beans!
Yes bud, just down road in Cardrew Industrial estate
We were up in Plym last night in Adams VX, should have given you a shout
You are going to make all our T4 1.8T's feel as slow as a diesel!!! Looking nice. Look forward to you flying past me
Ha, its feeling great on the 6spd, welcome to jump in sometime Paul if you're down this way!

Hi, thanks for the kind comments. The brake lines are "Kunifer"
Brilliant. No, love the detail

That's crazy subscribed for sure what gave you the idea to make the van the way it is.

Looking good buddy. Progressing well. I must say the love of riv nuts is spreading you got me hooked too lol🤙
They are super handy, game changer for racevan life! lol
Just quality 🤙
Woo Hoo!!!
With the motor tilted like that....won't you have issues with oil and pressure
Hey, the engine works fine. Just need to rotate the oil pickup to get it forward in the sump. Think of it as half a V8, ha.
@@SpeedingTube ah ok I see

It did cross my mind to take the tops of the bolts off. Luckily the big breaker bar and heat did it 😂
Surly u need a big brake kit for 500 bhp
Porsche 996 fronts and bigger rears. Carbon Lorraine pads going on for track.
Nice build
👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
Thanks :-)
Hi I'm building a Audi S3 8l does anyone know what power the ko4 turbo can make when it's been hybridised any information would be great cheers
AET 380-04 and Chinafold manifold from Badger 5 (350-400bhp)
👍👍👍
Do you think you’ll ever go 4wd?
Hi Anthony, I'll be staying FWD for a few years. Grips very well with the Wavetrac diff which has made a big difference
WD40 is nowhere near as good as Plus Gas disassembly fluid.
