  • Mitsubishi Pajero is arguably the most famous budget Japanese SUVs you can find in the UAE. It gives serious competition to cars like Toyota Prado and Nissan Pathfinder. However, it has a very unique selling point - which is it's price! Its way cheaper than its counterpart Japanese SUVs (like Prado) as well as comes with bundle of attractive packages when you buy it new.
    We shall be discussing about the car's purchase decision 6 years back and how it has gone by so far. As well as we shall talk about its practicality and compare it with other cars too.. Sit back and relax and watch the full video :)

    Best part is the value for money it provides!

    the reason behind cleaning by oil (engine + downside) its protect Rust , increase timing belt life etc

      Thanks for the comment. I know this reason, however, it’s only valid for pakistan (May be India too) - but I haven’t seen this process abroad. As due to oil on the bottom, the sand particles over the long term accumulate and deteriorates the surface instead of protecting.

      @@WaliKhan_2k normally third companies offered rust & dust proofing in GCC like "zebart" ,but people once buy new car they forget to do this that's way car servicing companies doing temporary solution to put some oil spray under car in order to protect rusting ,because GCC humidity level always high so they offer this service when car owner take steam wash or full wash but not in normal wash

      thats the point, i havent seen this happening in Dubai. Though Mitsubishi offered me to do rust protection, but from past experience it wont mater. I have seen 20 years old cars as well here which never had rust protection / oiling, but still are OK.

    Thoroughly enjoyed your Video. I have 2005 Prado bought it at 75000 kms now. I have driven it close to 500,000 kms quite trouble free. I would like to exchange thoughts on perhaps selling it now and getting a Pajero obviously a little bit used. Do you recommend the 3.5 or the 3.8 L version. We can do a little meet up at one of the Petrol Stations have a coffee together.

    • @WaliKhan_2k
      @WaliKhan_2k  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment.
      Actually it depends - In Pakistan it might be the expensive (but still not the most expensive)
      But in GCC countries, car loan is the cheapest (perhaps after mortgages), however, one should avoid the used car loans as they tend to be expensive.
      It makes sense to purchase car on bank loan in the car loan is as low as 1.5% even. As one can easily invest the amount in better yielding investments.

      I know where you are coming from - I agree Pajero is not the best of cars taking consideration for comfort. However, the channel is all about productivity and personal finance and I make video on those topics, so Pajero makes a lot of sense to me :)
      This car is with me for 7 years - I went to Oman on this car twice, big here: walikhan.co/post/travel-does-not-have-to-be-expensive/
      If you talk about a basic SUV providing mid sized family reliable transport in the cheapest way - Pajero is way to go!

    9:44 You have to compare the two same engine. Too be faire you can compare the 3.8L Pajero vs the 4.0L Prado.
    V6 4.0L Prado start easily at 200 000 AED, in the meantime you can find a V6 3.8L Pajero for around 100 000 AED.
    Prado are overpriced, good car but overpriced. The sitting position is less good than the Pajero and equipments are low when not full option (a GCC 3.8l Pajero is always full option).
    The only good thing with the Prado is the status and how expensive you can sell it back. But if you just want a powerful a reliable 4x4 then buy a Pajero.

    • @WaliKhan_2k
      @WaliKhan_2k  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are absolutely correct, I might have not emphasized, but what I mean was that Pajero is absolutely a bargain compared to a Prado. Best machine for its price.
