*Buy and replace your old thermostat. *Clean you MAF and MAP sensor with Contact Cleaner or replace them. *Clean the throttle body with carburetor cleaner with soft cloth and Johnson buds. After cleaning, spray the throttle body with Contact Cleaner. *Replace your Oxygen sensor( bank 1 and 2). There are 2 oxygen sensors, so replace both. *Replace your old fuel filter. * Change oil every 3000KM, replace the oil filter. *Use mineral oil only, every change oil. *Change transmission oil and differential oil every 10,000KM. *Change engine coolant every 10,000KM. *Change all the spark plugs every 15,000KM, use only copper plugs. *FUSE BOX ( REMOVE ALL FUSE AND RELAYS, SPRAY THE FUSE BOX WITH CONTACT CLEANER AND SPRAY ALL THE FUSE AND RELAYS TOO, THEN CLEAN IT WITH SOFT CLOTH. LET IT DRY FOR AN HOUR.) VIOLA! YOU HAVE A CONDITIONED PAJERO!..✌️😜
@jonas hi I have a Pajero 2007 it has 280k on odometer, I am the second owner and I live here in UAE, What will the best engine oil for my 3.5 L.. Sometimes when I start my car and put it in reverse with out giving the engine time to heat up the engine stops, I have to restart the engine and rev it Abit then no issues. Can u plz guide me regarding the engine oil and my this reverse and stop issue.. One other thing, when I am in a round about I need to floor the accelerator to get out of the traffic in time, I mean I feel that the engine takes time to accelerate..my fuel economy in city is 4.5 to 5 km/l in city.. Is it ok.. Can u please offer me advice how to address these issues wth my car... Thanks
Hi, Your fuel consumption is very high. You need to have your engine tuned up. Spark plugs, filters , O2 sensors , maf sensor etc etc. The best oil for the pajero is 5w30 and mitsubishi sells them very cheap. High fuel consuption is caused by alot of factors including oil viscosity. Another is torque converter clutch slipping, I’ll make a video about it soon

Hi Jonas - i have a 2008 Pajero V6 3.8 SWB . It has 290,000 Kms on the odometer therefore many recommended i switch over to 20W 50 engine oil that is replaced every 5000 Kms due to high Kms on the odometer. The reason being older engines have more friction & therefore require a thicker oil to minimize damage. The trade off i suppose is the fuel economy, at the best i get anything from 7.5 to 8.5 Km / L at a constant RPM not exceeding 2000 & that takes the car speed to 80 KM/PH. However this drops to 6.5 if RPM if i increase the speed to 100/120 exceeding 2000 RPM. Are you sure it will be safe to switch over to lower viscosity oil to improve fuel economy without damaging engine. Will appreciate your thoughts
Increasing viscosity of oil on high mileage vehicles is to compensate on the higher clearances on bearing…”theoretically”. But not all high mileage have clearance issues. If its well maintained , you wouldn’t have any issue going back to a thinner oil.
Brand is just a matter of preference. As long as you go with high quality ones such as Motul, Mobil , LiquiMoly, and many more. I use to have gallons of Royal Purple and we are happy with them. I would stay away from castrol because you can never tell which one is fake from legit once. Not that Im saying its confirmed that there is but I myself wouldn’t take the risk.

@@Aries82071094 it depends on the driving manner. You’re driving longhaul highways non stop, then a slightly bigger diameter tire will drop your rpm and eventually save some fuel, but if yourdriving city with alot of stop and go , examples are stop ligjts , pedestrian or traffic, better to have a slightly smaller tires so that your car will shift to a higher gear quickly and again save fuel.
