happy sunday, loves!! hope you're getting used to seeing me around every week now ;) this time, i had the sudden urge to go to the brooklyn flea market so i made it happen! i'd gone last year and also vlogged it but i thought this time i'd get a little more up close and personal with all the things in the shops. there were SO many vintage gems that i didn't get a chance to see everything though i highly recommend going if you've got a free weekend. (since they're only open on saturdays and sundays) but i did end up falling in love with some homeware and accessories that i hope you end up liking, too! upon getting lost finding it, i realized that i live only about 15 mins. from it....... it's crazy to think that now living in nyc, i have all of this access to things i used to take hours to get to. it's been so fun getting to know everything around me!
i also met up with a subscriber and she was just the sweetest bean! had so much doing a little thrift trip with her and although i didn't get to vlog it, i did manage to find a little gem that i added into this vlog.
this week, i realized i haven't really been stepping out of my comfort zone to make content but a lot has been happening lately. i definitely want to change that :/ if you have any suggestions, i'm always open to them but i've jotted some down that were already sent and i am beyond excited to share it all with you!

Diana, there is a straight piece of metal on the back of the earring you can slowly lift up just a tiny bit at a time then try the earring back on to see if the earring is more comfortable.....be careful not to make it to loose 🙁 thus the reason for doing it slowly God Bless from a longtime flea market lady. Oooo that sweater was beautiful and looks amazing quality, it also kind of looks like a jacket you could totally wear in fall! And you go Diana, haggle those flea marketers! (I know I'm so bad at it too haha! I was at a thrift store I was new too in Toronto and I went to buy a skirt that had massive tea stains all over it, and most places usually take 10% off and the lady at the desk said no, "they take the condition into account" sure lol, and I felt so embarrassed at the time. but I know if I hadn't of asked I would have wondered forever if I could have gotten it cheaper!)

I love looking for old books at markets! My oldest to date is one that is over 100 years old (I can't remember the title) but the front cover is embossed with the old crest of a local high school which is super neat
I accidentally discovered the market looking for the “mall” by the Barclays center! It was a fun surprise for my friends and me. Absolutely love the place 😍😍😍😍

I love this video, so sad the Brooklyn flea market was closed, I really love the earrings and clip you found, I love the green ones that color was very different, but I really love the pink door knocker ones, it reminded me of a rose quartz crystal, I wish I can wear those, I had plugs so my ear piercing hole is a little too big for anything cute and little:( My favorite flea market finds are these old prints of flowers or plants, this lady was selling them for $2-$10 depending how big but it looks so vintage and nice in frames. I love that sweater matches your hair so well!! xoxo

I have that exact same ring holder!! Also, not sure if youve ever been, but there's a nice mini mall in WIlliamsburg with a few small vintage/thrift shops. I recently got my new favorite sweater from there, its a beautiful 90's color block sweater. Cost me a bit but it was just one of those pieces that I COULDNT say no to! Anyway, love your videos, they always make me feel better!!

My mom had a pair of clip on earring she loved but were so painful and she took them to a jeweler and they took the clip off and soldered on a post so now they fit like normal earrings and don’t pinch! It wasn’t very expensive to have done either :)

My favourite flea market find has probably been a pair of gold vintage leaf earrings I bought once, but I think I gave them to my sister because I always tend to give away the stuff I love most. 😅

I would say the material of the earrings would be made of lucite or acetate celluloid! Hope that helps if you’d ever like to look some up online. Etsy has many!
Clip-ons usually have pads for your ears. Overtime these pads can deteriorate and fall off. You may be able to replace that pad in the clip on earring.
