It sounds like a great basic point and shoot with a few basic options which is good enough for the average use, I will be getting this camera, thank you for the information
We have an SX720HS. We owned 2 of its predecessors, as this model has evolved. We are low tech seniors. Does this model come with a paper manual, not just a "getting started" booklet? We find that on sunny days, it is almost impossible to see the subject thru our lcd screen. Will the pop up screen help this issue? The movable screen does make the camera heavier and a bit bulkier. (We kayak with it, taking pics of wildlife.)We have a MacBook Pro laptop. In order to delete pics from the SD card, do we have to do something to the SD card first?
Hi i have asked other people but no one replies. I really need advice. I have tried the Pen E-PL10 and the 14-150mm lens. While the quality and clarity of the photos was brilliant (for me), I loved what the camera did but I realised I would rather a camera you dont have to change the lens. I found them awkward. Loved the camera otherwise. But my main worry was that i would not have support from Olympus next year as they are selling on. So i now am looking for a camera again with the same specs, (good stabilisation as i have a bit of a tremor in my hands, close up photos, good zoom but with good quality when using zoom, but good night shots too, 4K Video, tiltable touchscreen etc etc. I also liked the fun things that the PEN E-PL10 did ie. like ART, SCENE, PANARAMA, FIREWORKS etc etc. I do not understand all the jargon so these settings were good for me. Only owned point and shoot before but wanted to do better photos day and night and video and be better at photography. That's why the PEN was good. Worried about Sony as i read may also sell out but dont know if true. I would spend say up to about £900 (less would be good). I may be asking the impossible for this, but do you have any suggestions please? I really do need advise please.
I have this sx 740hs I have to use a camera grip cause I keep accidentally touching the Wi-Fi button and other function buttons. There is no space for holding the camera properly. I advise to everyone who will have this camera to use a camera grip.
I have sx 740hs it’s so amazing. The only thing a don’t like is there was no compatible wireless remote control shutter. Anyone who can recommend to me a kind of wireless remote control shutter that is compatible with this camera. Thank you in advance.
I'm having trouble zooming in with camera. I don't know if I messed up some setting or not. You partially close the shutter and it should lock in your subject, but it's real iffy.
@@DJ-IronMike no its not grainy, you just don't know what you're doing, you can't shoot in the dark without light!! Also put it in manuel focus instead of Auto.
@@camerareviewpro You're not asking a question in each sentence, but your intonation rises in pitch toward the end of each sentence which is generally how one poses a question. Not to be overly critical of an otherwise thorough and great review, but I think Brian Blair DOES make a valid point. Review your audio and note how many times you raise the pitch of your voice towards the end of a sentence. It is a bit annoying, but the video is quite useful nonetheless.
Am I interested in the colour of the grip or what is written on the case ? Sorry but had to give a thumbs down you told me nothing about the performance. When taking Photographs or what the camera offers the Photographer.
Thank you for watching!
Canon PowerShot SX740 HS - amzn.to/2GIwo6V
How does the video and pictures compare to a LG V50 or Galaxy S20?
Great video. Ordered one at $349.00 two days ago from B&H Camera in NY. FREE shipping and no sales tax plus a free 32 gig memory card.
Can you do a video to show that Canon App for the smartphone? Thank you!!

Hello im planning to buy one but i saw some canon sx740 review and they dont have the 60 fps option. How did you do it?
Thank you!
There is only 50 FPS option. not 59,94. Do you have any idea?
@trinity9704 In video or auto mode I don't have 59,94 FPS option. Max option is 50. Any idea or solution?
@@osmanmkirilmaz Sounds like you may have it in PAL format. Change it to NTSC
Probably 1080p
My choices for movie size does not have 4K, how is this possible ?
I have this camera but I would like to ask for night video recording what settings to use
please a major question, how long is continuous shooting without the battery overheating?
I would like a video on how to sync with a smart phone. Will a bluetooth Ear microphone connect for better audio?
5:58 40 times optical zoom
Cool video i subscribed looking forward to see more content
Worth buying even in 2021 and will be in 2022.
Loveit but - now indoors can see screen great - outside can not see image- is there but too dark tomato out??
I'm watching tons of videos on this camera, BEST REVIEW SO FAR!
Thanks
Maybe still the best point-shoot also for 2020... Thanks for the video!!
Thanks for the video. I would have liked to hear the audio from the internal mic! And see actual video from the camera.
Even tho this video is older this was still vary helpful thank you sm

There's certainly room for improvements.

Totally disagree about the importance of a touch screen. Several real benefits are touch to focus, focus pulling, and ease of menu navigation.
Yeah the auto focus on this camera in low light when using zoom is pretty bad. the touch screen for focus would so help that problem
Yea why I choose to use a smartphone you can lock your focus live record.

That's unfortunate. I believe you can send it into Canon to get it professionally cleaned. Either that or a local camera store.
