As someone who also lives in Ottawa - a few tips for you : get proper snow gloves for shoveling. This is different from gloves you are wearing that are just normal gloves when walking outside. Snow gloves are thicker and it helps when shoveling so your hands don’t get so cold, I also recommend putting salt on the steps and a small walkway to get to the steps so it remains clear if more snow falls. Also you should shovel a few times throughout the day when it snows this much instead of doing it all at once, it takes less time and effort. My husband and I also go out and shovel as soon as the plow truck passes so it’s easy to remove the mountain it dumps at the base of the driveway, if you keep that too long it will freeze.
To be honest I would rather deal with snow in the winter than be worried about going out alone at night, so that’s probably why you don’t hear as much criticism about western countries.

I had Redmi and network reception in my phone was worst. Not just in my phone but also in most of the users and most people had to change phone plan or buy new phone. You people have central heating system if you will come to Pakistan to will experience more cold because here houses are cold and sometimes no gas and electricity
You have to shovel the driveway for many reasons. You have to keep it clean in case you have any delivery or mail, it is your responsibility if the delivery person slips because you didn’t clean the snow or is unable to come to your front door because of it. Also, just for general upkeep of property you should shovel snow off your driveway because if you don’t do that it will become ice, it won’t melt as the weather is not warm enough but it will become ice which makes it hard to walk on so you won’t be able to leave your house without putting yourself at risk of slipping and falling. And the ice also damages the driveway.

It falls off as it melts. That's why the roofs are sloped. It's too dangerous to get up there to clean it, hence not recommended
