I'll say I was lucky my coworkers became my best friends. I am Indian by origin, but not born in India and maybe thats why I was able to connect with all different kind of people, my friends are Korean, Romanian, Pakistani, Jamaican and characteristically they are genuine honest friends.

That is extremely rare in canada. Most canadian rarely want to talk about anything besides the shallow small talk or will greet you only if they have some work from you.

@MM-hw6fz yeah i hear you. Plus, i feel the interaction with most people in canada even at work with those you work with for years still feels so forced and fake. It was better when i moved to the neighborhood but rarely felt more than that. We are a married couple and love to host but what i hate is practically begging people to come visit or meetup.

I have gone through the same shit . I cried on roads alone, lost mental peace for a while, felt left out, our own people are doing the same thing to each other, can't see u growing and staying happy. Most of people here become heatless and run after money leaving emotions behind .I felt it when u said some own so called friends make gang and make u feel alone intentionally to break u..gone through it .Lived with a toxic person who was me and myself. Now, I don't trust anyone and trust myself only! It made me stronger 💪.Now I don't cry and stay happy always .lesson learnt book burnt!

When in that situation, I was just unable to understand what was going around me and who was really what from inside or what people’s real intentions was. I would suggest you to figure out who is really who around you and people’s real intentions. Use your intuitiveness for doing so, and never ignore your natural call from inside about anyone or anything. Talk to your loved ones and people you truly trust. Ans always remember If there were a problem, there would be a solution too.

some of the initial things you said, I observed mostly girls do that. I have seen girls giving wrong advice confidently, older women giving taana to younger ones etc. I remember 4 girls fought against 1 girl n threw her out of the home at 11 pm at night. Reason: jealousy. The one which was thrown out was working, earning well, happily married, healthy, had car etc. Guys do get a few good frnds but most of them would be pretend, fake friends

Been 31 yrs in Sydney. Don't expect your friends in these countries to be same as your childhood friends. It's mutual, every human being needs a human company. As the young lady said it right, you don't need lot of friends, you only need a couple of reliable one's.

This is a very good message. I have also been trying to spread positivity regarding Canada with people because I see a lot of people spreading negativity. A lot of people are making reels on instagram and mocking Canada. They live here, earn here, send money to India, buy costly cars, live a good lifestyle, but still want to spread hate against this country.
If you had good education in India with some years of experience working in a MNC and want to pursue higher education and come as a student, then focus on studies and do your alloted part-time job for survival, rather than buying iPhones, Mustangs etc. And if you already have a Masters Degree in India and have good experience, then come as a Permanent Resident & apply for jobs here, you'll be able to get it easily if you're capable enough & starting salaries for IT can be anywhere from 100k+.
The mindset of people needs to be changed. Don't just follow your friends, if they came to Canada, don't blindly come here thinking you'll be having a lavish lifestyle. And please leave Brampton, I don't know why everyone choose to go to Toronto, Brampton, Missisuaga etc. Then they complaint about job scarcity.

One week passed, and now they won't even talk to you or reply to you even if you are being nice to them. yaar yo are so true, I was in Canada for few years and was able to make lots of friends (all foreigners) but never any Indian friend so ASAP i became friend with one punjabi boy as a co-worker. I would say i was so much blessed without any Indian friend. He was not from medical background and i always assured him and taught a lot about the work. When he felt confident he tried to poison my friends about me and even my manager too. I was so disappointed and depressed eventually we ended up fight and i left. Any way, i was already sure that i was moving from Canada but this made me feel good about my this decision. Worse person ever i have seen and i found same things he was doing with his own wife on the name of his religion. I wish soon God will teach him a lesson.

I think it's the perception of each one. Sometimes things said to others are according to their own experiences. Don't take the hard comments personally coz you never know what was the other person’s reason
Decide your life according to self righteousness &contentment.

Very true Sandy, our own people are such if you want to make friends they feel as if aap un ka kya loot loge. Matalabi log hain. Aap ka ek ek sabad sahi hai. Arre hum ne dekha rishtedar jab india aate hain to expect karte hain hum un ki seva VIP's ki tarah karen aur khud Canada me aap ko poochenge bhi nahi.
