2:34 Marisa's MP target combo is unsafe even if she tries to DR cancel from it, just punish it immediately with whatever meterless punish, only thing she can do to be safe in most situations is if she cancels into OD gladius hold

@@DarkSynth how can I physically do that. I've taken reaction tests and I score in the slower ranges, much slower than average at over 300ms when avg is like around low to mid 200s and there are people that score below that
@@ismaeljrp1 There's ways to train your reactions. You're training your brain and that's healthy. Do reaction tests every day and do stuff that tests your reactions. You can improve them.
Thr mp target combo is stupid because even though you have "Answers" to everything, you cannot "React" to any of it for some characters because only certain reversals work, if you jump and they do regular version you get hit, if you try to parry and mis guess the version you get hit, if they drc the TC you gotta guess again all over, and if you sit there and block they can do cmd grab. Marisa is so dumb because literally all you need to do with her is fish for mp TC or stmp or crmp in neutral and then just do stuff. Every single thing she does is risky but every single option you chooae on defense is risky. Its a stupid gsme of my offense vs your offense and it feels like playing SF5 when you play her. I have 16 characters diamond including her. Marisa is the easiest character to play aside from Ken because any dumbass can win with her by just fishing MP TC
I don't recommend using the ex reversals vs her medium medium gladius. Sure you get out of the pressure, but you expend a lot of drive gauge for not that much damage. And Marissa's general game plan is to burn you out and rush you down into 50/50s. She can medium medium to armour mix up too, which on someone like Cammy actually beats her ex reversal (I hate this). You also loose if she decides to DI in this case. If you predict the gladius, you can DI. If you've got good reactions, you can try and perfect parry. But it's a risky game either way, but you get a better reward for the risk than ex reversal. The only catch all solution I've found, is super. I use more level 1's vs Marisa than anyone else. Other than that in my opinion, your best bet, sadly, its to eat it all on a block if you don't think you've got a read. Which is what makes Marissa so scary for any character that can't gain an advantage against her by zoning long range.
what do you against normal gladius if your reversal doesn't work? i watched another video and they said only like 6 characters have reversals fast enough to punish the gap. i play deejay btw
This is great work, and part of why I think the devs said that they were only going to balance the game once a year if necessary cause they had play tested it for 2 years before releasing it. They are answers to the problems, and they know them, but we now have to go into the lab and find them instead of screaming nerf nerf nerf. Great videos man.

You want to stay on Marisa as much as you can. She has no real wakeup options because she can be thrown out of her EX Stance
