Some great advice for people struggling against certain characters: Pick up the character for a few days, play against people and let them show you the characters weaknesses. This is how I learned to play against a lot of characters even if it was bad match up ect.
I HARD agree with this! Plus, you get to really have an idea of what that character is looking for or needs to start an advantage State. This allows you to play better neutral vs that character since you KNOW exactly what they need to get going. Great advice!!!
Someone gave me that advice years ago. I mained Ryu in SF4 and SSF4 and had trouble with Blanka… I started using him, and changed my main! Whenever I did use Ryu or Evil Ryu after I started maining Blanka, I always won those matches though! Best advice ever.

I have learned about 9 characters total and most are mid or high platinums with a few diamonds for my mains. You can easily see what the general strengths and weaknesses of a character are when you play them, even if you’re not playing at a high level. At least it’s a good foundation to not lose to bad players using those characters due to unfamiliarity.
It's actually very rare for top level players to share things like this, beceause they know their opponents and competition are watching and don't want the word out. This is actually quite selfless of AngryBird to put all this out there, kudos to him.
Things like this in a way further the FGC - enlightens players with knowledge and inspires them to get better, especially if they want to play in a tournament or offline.
Overall good, just a couple things: - Dee Jay’s MPMPHP tc being unsafe is the whole point, bc if you’re waiting for the hit so you can grab and punish he’ll just do the feint and throw you, and you can’t just mash reversals bc if he stops after the second hit then he’s only -2. You should always be blowing him up for finishing it, but you shouldn’t just sit and wait as soon as you realize you blocked 5MP - Dee Jay can do backjump Air TC to stuff your jump ins even if he doesn’t have charge - 5MK can’t be DId if he starts the move 3f or more before you
Other things I noticed after coming back to this: (while trying to clean up my djs offense) - 6MK isn't drive cancelable but it is super cancelable (into any super, since it's a normal) so you can def bait di with it. 2 or 3 obviously beat di, but level 1 beats it too and causes a crumble, though sometimes it trades if the 6mk is super late. if you hit them in the corner with it, you can get full combo. you just have to be buffering it, and the cancel window is just a few frames so you can def miss it. same thing that luke does with his charge punch and his lvl 3 - jus sway: low (light kick ender) is also special cancelable (only into lvl 3). So you can bait di like that too. his overhead ender is not cancelable though
not sure what hard about cammy as a cammy player myself. her dive kick is punishable if your character has dp, spinKnucle can be DI'd. holligan can be jabbed.

I know he's exaggerating but "DI every time you see him press big buttons" and "Neutral jump whenever he's minus" can both be punished as long as the Dee Jay is willing to stop pressing and hold downback for a second every now and then. Maybe I'm misinterpreting but this feels like "how to beat a platinum dee jay." Idk if I've ever seen HSM or other top Dee Jays use the MPMPHP target combo either. He does perfectly fine running standard strike/throw with the option for an occasional swayLK shimmy

Dear Deejay players here is some Anti Ken. You can uppercut Kens MK Jinrai from any range when you block the first hit. If Ken follows up with low, Overheard or just blocks you will still punish him! The best part you dont even needs to use OD regular uppercut works! Practice in training mode to get the timing down.
This is useful even for a DJ main! But now every time somebody jumps at me I will have to blame you! One small thing though, 6MK is super cancelable. If the DJ is on point the can super your DI, even DJ's level 1 can cause a crumble state spaced and timed correctly since it has like 1-2 frames of invul. I use this a lot in burnout since i know my opponent will want to DI me.
Angrybird while i like your guide and this is accurate alot of this is based upon Reaction and Prediction. As even if you can D.I deejay his crouching medium and medium Kicks have very little recover. Same for his sway back which can be cancelled and he can D.I back..alot of this is good but Based of the prediction of the opponenet
13:53 If this is talking about the burnout pressure string of st LP H fireball or st LK H fireball repeated, its not a true burnout loop. if they are using st LP you can challenge with a 4 frame button after the st LP since it doesn't have enough blockstun to frame trap into the fireball, and if they are using st LK you can challenge after the fireball and trade since the fireball is only +1 going into a 5 frame button
Regarding the segment starting at 2:40, that covers if he does crouch mk into jus cool but what if he doesnt do the jus cool? Crouch mk is -6 but it seems like Ken doesn't have anything to punish this with unless he spaces it horribly

You won't be able to get a 6f punish on cmk unless Deejay does it from unreasonably close - which is going to be practically never. If you press slk you are giving him a whiff punish on a silver platter.

I'm always afraid to throw out DI against smk, cmk because I know with some unpredictable timing they can still recover to DI back. Is this just an acceptable risk of playing the matchup? I feel like getting counter-DI in a situation like that is kind of throwing away the round, and worse you haven't even accomplished your goal of stopping them from using those buttons, now requiring another risky DI attempt in the next round. Is this just like not the correct way of thinking about the game? For me the risk of this strategy is too high to rationalize.
I think you're supposed to be preemptive with the DI. like you're getting a read on the opponent. I don't think you can react to the mediums with DI cause you'll be too late like you said
And one of the most important questions how do you deal with his drive rush and FB BS because when I see pros explaining things like this, there is nothing like that online just pure and utter gimmick bullshit nothing of logical frame data applies online.

if you do jinrai mk into the lk follow up there's a 1 frame gap though. Medium heyhey kicks is 6 frame startup
