- After a few hours of pondering and chopping, I think Ive got the Ax24 to somewhat of a decent spot now. It no longer drives like fat man on a stool and seems to be able to hold itself down most the time. Chopped out nearly all the battery tray and esc mount and dropped it down about 1 inch. Took out the stock springs and added some double barrel blacks(softest spring) which really dropped its height and it flex's way nicer now. This to me was the only path to make this thing a decent rig. Without gutting it, it just has too much weight up high and that makes for crappy crawlin. Peace! It still sucks, find the most recent vids on this nightmare of a rig, its pure crap. Dont waste your money on it.

Nice project and great improvement! I'm choping the crap out of mine. Just installed a new motor, servo, shocks and now chop, chop!
Thanks and right on man, it needs a bunch of work to make it pretty decent. Once you do a few things like heavy wheels it becomes sooo much better. Yea chop those guts out and drop everything lower inside and wow, what a diff that makes. Gl and hope she turns out awesome!

super nice... thanks for sharing.... ESC get a ASX24 crawler and a SLR 300 reveiver and you get rid of the stock, but you are able to use your Stock Radio with all feautures

I bought a front body mount for the back. Plenty of room for a mofo servo and it came down about 7/16.
Nice moves! It should of been stock, I dont think they tested this rig at all with the amount of stuff wrong with it outta the box.

@@watsonira7 Right on man! It starts bad but can turn into something pretty awesome actually. If your going to get another one or two, get the JLU and Gladiator, they are amazing with a few mods. :)

Yo Adam! Just trying to make the Ax24 worth buyin! Showing a bit of what Ive done to drop its weight! :) Cause I know I wouldnt want one if its stock, just a rolling machine.
nobody listen to this guy you only have to take four screws out of the bottom the completely disengaged the motor and the transmission and the skid plate

Edit: Oh cause u didnt watch the vid so your thinking Im saying chop out all this stuff right.. lol dude, watch and u will see, I want all that top weight lower. Its why Ive chopped out those 2 levels, battery is much lower and the esc tucks up beside it, can get ALL of it lower then the bottom of the stock battery holder level. So If you actually watched youd see, but I think you jumped the gun.. lol
You took out all the integrity and slammed it on the wheels,good job making it about as worthless as a scx24
