Yea man, its awesome to hide some lead in the tires. These glad wheels with tires and that lead mod are coming in at 86grams a piece :) Best place to hide weight :)

@@DurpVonFronz yeah because in a crawler rotational mass isn't that worrisome unless ya runnin the 030 88t stock motor that comes in the ax. Lol

Yea its not a problem at something this small. A lot of people in this hobby think it is though and I just shake my head.. lol derppy dudes Yea those lil motors are totally worthless imo. Im starting to eyeball that Injora Fat Viper and mini Viper brushless motor and ESC, its cheap compared to the Furitek system and it looks really awesome.

@@DurpVonFronz just gotta replace transmission n motor n esc. Burnt motor up n im running the injora mb100 and it has a reverse limiter or sumtin I wanna be able to go just as fast in rewind as I do in fast-forward

Yea if your looking for awesome control like that, Id suggest the ESC from Furitek, its called the Lizard Pro. Has an app for the phone where u can control everything about it. The app is awesome, one of the best things about Furitek, instantly change something from the app and totally change the way the rig runs in seconds :) Very kewl stuff

@@DurpVonFronz ok cool. I'm wanting to stay brushed for now. Then go to brushless later if I decide to. The futitek esc work on brushed stuff?

@@DubVredneck Sure does, was one of the first big upgrade I did to my JLU about 3 years ago, its insane how much smoother it became and no more ESC squeel from the motor either. Get the Lizard pro, I think they are on Ebay pretty decently priced too.

Ive got one posted some where, I will find it and list it here for ya too :) Here is the parts list I gave to someone else so Ill repost it here for you too. I took the Ax24 after many many attempts to try to fix its horrible self lol and made it into a Gladiator length rig, still a 24th scale. And for a parts list, sure thing! :) Injora Brass wheels, what ever kinda u like, with or without a negative offset. Glad length Links in what ever colour you want. Mofo RC Black Label servos with servo mounts. Or Emax servos with RampCrab servo mounts in what ever colour. RampCrab steering arm in what ever colour u dig. Proline Trenchers tires, I might try out some Baja Pro X with it too so keep options for tires open. 5mm Hex extensions or wheel weights with the Hex extension built in. Furitek Stinger Combo, u get the Micro Komodo motor with the Lizard Pro ESC. Kangaroo Chassis from Injora. Injora 43 or 48mm shocks in what ever colour u like. Injora skidplate in what ever colour u want. Injora Gladiator length metal drive shafts. A mod I want to do is get better axles for it so it has higher turning angles, some metal ones but not sure what ones just yet, many options on that to pick from. MOFO RC, LGRP, Meus, Injora so many to choose from. Gens Ace Adventure 400mah battery cause its nice and skinny and fits into this build extremely well. Another thing Ive done is a lead sticky weight mod I put into the wheels around the bead lock ring, it adds around 25g of hidden weight and its awesome for that extra traction. I think thats about it, just looking at the thing and I cant see anything else that is here but not on the list. Hope this helps you out if your going to make one for yourself. If you dont have the Ax24 yet but want something like this, dont buy the ax, just buy its receiver or something with a 4ws system and avoid it. As right now there are only 3 parts from it in this rig, once I get 2 new axles there will only be the receiver left. So you dont need to spend money on it. Happy building! EDIT: Oh yea, and 2 sets of brass steering knuckles of w/e brand u like. :)

Thanks man! Yea mofo is awesome stuff. If your in the states its not going to be anywhere near that price and I think its closer to Injora prices. The reason is the exchange and border fees, things are 80cad and then import fees. So down there they are the best option, even better then injora. :)

Thanks Radio man, I think that chassis will be a kewl upgrade for it, if its even an upgrade at all. I just wanted its chassis and it was the cheapest switch I could find :) Yea that wheels painting move was just a spur of the moment idea that ended up working so why not show others how to do it. From what Ive seen on that Injora servo, some work some dont work so well, but when they do they have really nice performance and I could buy 2 for the same price as 1Mofo blacklabel. That servo is a much needed upgrade for the Glad though, thing is a tank at 750g

@@DurpVonFronz My Gladi is still rocking the stock, run them till they die. Heading to the Castle Falls area this saturday camping, packing up alot of rigs, SCX6's RC4WD rigs, maybe the Zuul or Millermotorsport and i packed up 4 24's my two injora buggies the Scythe build and the alum chassis build that i don't run much. hope to get as much running in as i can going with the wifes fam, so might need to get up at the crack of dawn to get my RC time in.

Ive got some straps up front and on the rear and with the soft stock spring in them so that isnt the issue with this rig :) But this thing is 750 grams so it really makes it tough and with 64mm tires it changes the geometry and cant climb like the Kanga Ax can. But that being said with those large tires it can make it up and over somethings the Kanga Ax cant. This Glad is also on Portals which raise it up too. So Ive got a few rigs that are all totally diff from each other when it comes to where they can go on this carpet mountain :)

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast :) Nothing more satisfying then running a nice slow crawl :) These lil Furitek brushless systems are soo awesome, probably the best on the market. Kinda pricey, but man are they worth it. :) The power and the climbs they can do are crazy. This Glad on 64 SwampKing tires makes for a unreal climber. Its top heavier then the Kanga Ax24 so it cant do some of the lines but what it can get up with the Treal Portal axles and those tires it can go places the Kanga Ax24 cant. Its so awesome to have a few rigs that are just so different. Got the JLU which is my first scx24 and its awesome for most everything. The C10 is still closer to stock which makes for some difficult crawling, very fun to take out after using a highly modded rig. Even have 5 hand made trailers to haul around to add some difficulty to lines you get dialed in.

Thanks! I think the Carpet Mountain is one of the best indoor courses you can have. Easy to change the lines, wasnt expensive, rigs dont break or get scratched up when they roll down it and one of the best things, is you can drive on just about 100% of it unlike some other courses Ive seen. Makes for never ending lines :) If you got the room, build a small course, its unreal fun. :) This one is nearly half a bedroom :)

Oh yea its going to rub if I let it stay full lock to lock.. LOL so Im going to have to turn it down. Im leaving it uncastered as I really dont dig the look it brings and I need a level servo to mount the 3d resin printed motor I want out front man :) Trying to make the next Immortan Joe rig :) Made a new vid on that today and got the Injora monster truck tires on there now, these brass wheels fit into those so its going to be awesome, got 1 wheel up to 116grams.. .LOL so nearly 480 for just wheels ....LOLOLL crazy Gonna have to go brushless with that level of weight

Ooo nice, thats a good call. Anything that can fit in wheels that adds weight is the best imo. Lowest widest place to put and hide weight, adds so much performance too :)
