Dang, looks like either a tie-rod or control arm decided to give up on ya. Nice save too btw. I know it's not easy to stop a car, in the dirt, moving at race speed in mid corner, you did very well. Time for more upgrades methinks. Buy, Upgrade, Race, Break, Fix, Repeat.
Good call! It was a tie-rod on the right rear. The mounting bracket on the inboard side broke. It caused me to go off, but I also think that when the right rear tire turned left it helped keep me off of the wall. Then being in the dirt kept the car from spinning out with the rear wanting to turn. I know that I don't want to do it again. These were new parts from a bump steer kit. I can't say much, I need to see how it plays out.
@@Stevetheracer Wow, scary. I've heard that it was a good idea to magnaflux the Corvette's suspension arm (Looking for tiny cracks) on a yearly basis for Corvettes that get tracked heavily. I've heard horror stories of suspension arms failing coming out of turn 12 at speed... I guess it's real.
@@francoisrivard893it was a tie-rod issue with new parts. I waiting to see how it plays out between the shop and the part manufacturer. I'll look at the control arms. I appreciate that information.
Awesome!!!! I'm starting my track bucket list next year alm6done building mustang now in NC
I would like to make it to Charlotte someday to run the Roval.
Great run. You would have been in the 1:39s your last lap if it weren't for slower traffic. Glad you avoided the wall.
Thanks! I was close to using that Trackday Insurance.
Great laps aside from that off. My best there is 1:51.9 with my pretty much stock 440i.
H yea!
Well done dude!! That track is on my bucket list!! If you haven't yet I suggest Sonoma Raceway if you get a chance!!
Thanks! I hope to get out there someday.

beautiful save. what broke ?
Is the painted areas bumpy?
Not this section. It's normal to track out here. I had a rear suspension part to break. It could have been much worse.
What went wrong?
A piece in the right rear suspension broke. The rear wheel is turned to the left.
