These old cases will never fail to fascinate me. The amount of information available after all this time is pretty impressive. Thanks for such a different, interesting crime channel, BC! ✌🏻
I always wonder if they include the theories and descriptions of the modern day profilers and detectives 🕵️♂️ whom investigate 😢these cases or just use the files to challenge themselves to analyse and theorise much more. Could intelligence and problem solving add to solving the mysteries, if not trying to understand why ‘IT’ happened in the first place?!
Such amazing detail in this account. It’s not only cool that you find these historical cases, but that you are able to do such thorough research. RIP Rose 🌹
It's no wonder the jury could not find Mr. Lewis guilty. One set of facts said that Rose was forcibly dragged and that she struggled and grasped at branches, breaking some off, mangling her hands. Another was that Mr. Lewis killed her in his barn and carried her body to the place where it was found. Two very different theories and not much proof provided for either one. Good case to start the week, Brief Case. Thank you!!
That was my thought, too, when they speculated he killed her in the barn. The footprints, drag marks, and broken branches seemed to tell a compelling story, making it impossible that she was murdered elsewhere!
Why would someone kill another person somewhere else and then take their body into a potentially visible area? It doesn't add up. I don't believe the barn theory.
That's an incredible case. Despite some pretty impressive work on the forensic front for the time, no real evidence comes to light against anyone. I'll be amazed if this one is ever solved. Thanks guys. It's not Monday evening here without you. 🕵😻
I’ve been hooked since discovering the channel, the cross between the fascinating cases and the flashbacks to society “ rules” and how they basically controlled lives is addictive. ❤
Exactly! I just discovered this channel and this is only the third case I've seen but I'm looking forward to spending today binge watching! I'm absolutely hooked!
There once was a girl Who had a little curl Right in the middle of her forehead. Whenshe was good She was very, very good. When she was bad She was horrid.
This channel is such a fascinating and professional one compared to those that use AI voices and cram every second with irrelevant stock images. Your choice of images from the actual case and other illustrations and photographs from the immediate era and area are so much better! It’s a tragic tale, but I’m often so interested by the styles and fashions of the people involved. Thank you for seeking out their images.
G'day from australia. It is 11.30pm so i am lying back ready to enjoy another story from B.C. Your research & story telling brings these poor people back to life by knowing their awful fate. Imo one of the best crime channels.
I live in the next town east of Stratford, Milford. Thank you so much for the photographs in this one! It's fun to see if there's anything still recognizable. Fyi, Milford was settled in 1649 I think and we have the original bridge cornerstone and abutments, among other great things the historical society has seen to protect and maintain. But. Dear Mr Brief Case, if you can find an old crime in Milford it would be much appreciated LOL!! Of course all of your viewers wish the same thing I'm sure! Again, thank you for all you do to honor these people and especially making sure the victims are not forgotten. 'So sit back... As we go....to.............
Brilliant, thank you! Not that I want there to be one but if there is... well nobody could do it the justice and respect that I know you would. There was a murder in my hometown in Fairfield county, the kidnapping of a child from a community playground whose body was discovered in the woods surrounding the local reservoir several weeks later This took place in the late sixties and I can't find that it was ever solved, at least I can't find any thing about a resolution do it or whether it is still an open case. In 2016, I contacted a TH-camr who looked into different cold cases (I don't think his channel is still up). Anyway, he kindly did cover it, but he also found almost nothing. Very sad..
@@Frenchblue8 It's great to hear that the old bridge cornerstone, etc. were kept in tact! There are a few old houses built in 1789 where I live. I'm on the East coast too, in PA. I'm glad they preserve what they can for history's sake. I enjoy seeing those monuments very much.
@@sugarfalls1 yes, we're pretty lucky around here in Southern New Haven and lower Fairfield counties, actually as far as I'm aware pretty much all over Connecticut, the same is true in all of New England and what amounts to the original colonies, such as your commonwealth! I'm amazed they didn't pin it on that fella. They didn't say he had any scratches or blood or anything on him. It was right that they didn't arrest him. Very sad that this case was never solved.
I appreciate that the victims of these long ago crimes are kept “alive” in name by you doing these podcasts. It also demonstrates that murderers haven’t changed much - they still pick on those weaker and more vulnerable, for whatever warped reasoning. Do you think that her insistence to make these walks alone meant that she used to meet someone when on her regular walks? I do wonder. Poor Rose Ambler. Why would her fiancé kill her? Why not just break off the engagement? On another note, her hairstyle is amazing. She must have had a hairdresser do that style, it would have been difficult to maintain even during a normal day. She sounds like an independent, clear thinking woman - but confused independence with being safe in the dark. Even then, she was not.
to why she didn’t let her fiancé walk back with her all the way to her home. Especially at night when it’s late. That just kind of boggles my mind I don’t understand that thinking. Blessing to you always BC! Stay safe & warm! 🙏🙏😊❤️🙏

Gosh. Well, there "was" reasonable doubt, wasn't there? These days it would be easier. Thanks, B.C.!

Good afternoon! Already 14:30 here in the R. of S.A.
Hi Marie :)
This was good one
Thanks
This whole "liking to walk home alone late at night in the dark" doesn't sound true.
No it doesn’t! It sounds like the sort of thing an unchivalrous boyfriend/husband would say to cover for his behaviour!
That hairdo she's sporting, it's different, I'll say that.
Imagine the time it took just to walk out of the house.😁💆♀️
Love your work!
Thank you!
to why she didn’t let her fiancé walk back with her all the way to her home. Especially at night when it’s late. That just kind of boggles my mind I don’t understand that thinking. Blessing to you always BC! Stay safe & warm! 🙏🙏😊❤️🙏
