Its so nice to see how Mera Luna provides a wonderful experience to so many people, even if they have very different interests. In many ways we did the exact opposite of what you guys did. Enjoyed Rave the Reqviem, Tanzwut, Megaherz, Project Pitchfork and In Extremo. A whole day of great music, but VV did not fit our taste so we went to the medieval market instead. The only thing we have in common is our love for The 69 Eyes. 😃 Really enjoy watching your content and experiencing the festival from a very different perspective.
I agree! Between the club stage, Main stage, medieval market and all the fashion shows/talks there really is something for everyone. I also love seeing how different people experience it. Next year gonna try to do more of the things that we don't usually do!

We became my friend's "goth mum and dad" when we rescued her from 2 inches of water in her tent and let her stay in ours! We missed this year sadly loving being able to live vicariously through this vlog, but we are all sorted for 2024! 🖤🖤

Although this year it did only rain for less than an hour and once it passed it got so sunny you'd never have even realised it rained! Really wanted to do sick nu world or cruel world this year but just couldn't make it happen! Flying to the US purely for a festival is expensive! But hopefully in the future there's one that lines up with a planned trip!

I don't think we've had a Goth festival in the U.S. since the early 2000's. I'm glad it's still happening somewhere though! BTW Sean Brennan has a bad habit of cancelling shows last minute, rather annoying :P
It's unfortunate and we were both pretty upset tbh especially to see they hadn't been rebooked for next year. Hopefully we somehow see them next year somewhere (and he doesn't cancel again 😅)
so me about my allergic reaction to fruits "I shouldn't eat fruits but I still do." Lol. Its the mangos that I really can't eat because that one makes my mouth swell up, the rest of the fruits are okay they just make my mouth and ear itchy.

No I scrapped that immediately! There was like a 6 minute section on Saturday that was like halfway through filming the punkrave video where we got food and stuff but it was kinda sporadically filmed and didn't really go anywhere so I just removed it. Then there were one or two sequences I shortened or removed from other points. There was like 2 hours of footage overall but that's including bands and b roll. I'd say there was over an hour of actual vlog! And thanks! I was trying out the new method of stringing together sequences with that in/out b roll shot and I think it works pretty well so that might be the new standard!

Do they charge to use the styling tent or is that part of the package you purchased? It didn't look as miserably hot as the Downtown Festival. Thanks for the view of the festival.
The styling tent is free and accessible to all attendees at Mera Luna! There is no charge for any of the products either (hair spray, straighteners, hair dryers etc) It was slightly cooler than Download! About 2/3 degrees less. But made a big difference! Despite my profusely sweating the whole time 😂
Thank you! We use Carter Beauty full measure foundation in the shade marshmallow! Bear in mind though that it's not paper white, it's kind of off white. The camera has a tendency to make it look a little whiter than in real life! I've heard good things about ilimasquas white foundation but can't vouch for it personally!
I am busty so I pop buttons all the time. :) I have to sew my blouses shut. The problem for goths is the summer, where you can’t wear your best velvet or coats.
You should really have checked out Solar Fake. The greatest concert besides Hocico this year in my opinion. VV on the other Hand.... I'm a lifelong HIM Fan complete with heartagram Tattoo and even going to Finland in 2005 to see them perform at their legendary Helldone but it just wasn't the same. Without the rest of the Band it just isn't my thing anymore. But my best wishes for everyone who enjoyed it. Can't wait for next year to see suicide commando, ASP and Welle Erdball......I'm still hoping as every year for the Birthday Massacre :)
Lynn wasn't feeling well around the time they were playing so she went to lie down and I sat with her to make sure she was okay. I could see the stage (from a distance) and hear them pretty well. haha!! The affectionately named "Swamp year" of 2017 was the worst rain I've seen at M'Era Luna. We became my friend's "goth mum and dad" when we rescued her from 2 inches of water in her tent and let her stay in ours!
We missed this year sadly loving being able to live vicariously through this vlog, but we are all sorted for 2024! 🖤🖤
Oh god haha I hope next year we get the usual weekend of pure sunshine. Although this year it did only rain for less than an hour and once it passed it got so sunny you'd never have even realised it rained!

Have you guys ever thought about coming to the states to one of our big festivals like inkcarceration or some of the other ones
Really wanted to do sick nu world or cruel world this year but just couldn't make it happen! Flying to the US purely for a festival is expensive! But hopefully in the future there's one that lines up with a planned trip!

I don't think we've had a Goth festival in the U.S. since the early 2000's. I'm glad it's still happening somewhere though! BTW Sean Brennan has a bad habit of cancelling shows last minute, rather annoying :P
It's unfortunate and we were both pretty upset tbh especially to see they hadn't been rebooked for next year. Hopefully we somehow see them next year somewhere (and he doesn't cancel again 😅)

No I scrapped that immediately! There was like a 6 minute section on Saturday that was like halfway through filming the punkrave video where we got food and stuff but it was kinda sporadically filmed and didn't really go anywhere so I just removed it.
Then there were one or two sequences I shortened or removed from other points. There was like 2 hours of footage overall but that's including bands and b roll. I'd say there was over an hour of actual vlog! And thanks! I was trying out the new method of stringing together sequences with that in/out b roll shot and I think it works pretty well so that might be the new standard!

Do they charge to use the styling tent or is that part of the package you purchased? It didn't look as miserably hot as the Downtown Festival. Thanks for the view of the festival.
The styling tent is free and accessible to all attendees at Mera Luna! There is no charge for any of the products either (hair spray, straighteners, hair dryers etc)
It was slightly cooler than Download! About 2/3 degrees less. But made a big difference! Despite my profusely sweating the whole time 😂

Thank you! We use Carter Beauty full measure foundation in the shade marshmallow! Bear in mind though that it's not paper white, it's kind of off white. The camera has a tendency to make it look a little whiter than in real life!
I've heard good things about ilimasquas white foundation but can't vouch for it personally!

I am busty so I pop buttons all the time. :) I have to sew my blouses shut. The problem for goths is the summer, where you can’t wear your best velvet or coats.

You should really have checked out Solar Fake. The greatest concert besides Hocico this year in my opinion. VV on the other Hand.... I'm a lifelong HIM Fan complete with heartagram Tattoo and even going to Finland in 2005 to see them perform at their legendary Helldone but it just wasn't the same. Without the rest of the Band it just isn't my thing anymore. But my best wishes for everyone who enjoyed it. Can't wait for next year to see suicide commando, ASP and Welle Erdball......I'm still hoping as every year for the Birthday Massacre :)
Lynn wasn't feeling well around the time they were playing so she went to lie down and I sat with her to make sure she was okay. I could see the stage (from a distance) and hear them pretty well. They sounded great!
I enjoyed VV but I think we enjoyed it more seeing his solo show as it was a bit more intimate! Would love to see the birthday massacre! Asp were fantastic last year!
