I have a Launch for over 8 years, plus two other diagnostic systems one which is Toyota specific and the other Delphi. The Launch gets regular free updates. I last used it a few weeks ago, when I had an EML, plus warnings for parking brakes, stability. Turned out to be misfire due to fake spark plugs. I just happen to have a set of genuine spark plugs ready to install. The fake plugs were burnt out. They were supposed to be Denso iridium, but the tips were burnt off after only 12,000 miles. Genuine spark plugs last from 60,000 - 100,000 miles! I compared the fakes with known genuine spark plugs and there were tell-tale signs these were fakes.
Back to the diagnostic devices, they are both good for each offers, even the cheaper one.
Do you have to pay every year in order for this OBD reader to work ? If you dont pay does that still work ? Do you need to have internet to used it ? If you don't updates does that still work without updates ? Out from the box can you used it without wifi or internet ? Can this scan for Fuel Pressure ? And can this scan for compression test ? Is this a Complete diagnostic Scan tools ?does it Scan from 1996 cars going up ? How about Toyota Camry 2001 2.2 Liter 4 Cyl or Buick Park Ave 2003 3.8 Liter does it Scan these cars ? Does this scan for battery ignition parameters ? Does it Scan for a bad head gaskets ? Is this the latest version 2024 ?
