I honestly think Jazz deep down regrets her bottom surgery because of the complications and being left permanently scarred. The doctors were reluctant to do the surgery but TLC pushed them to go through it.
Perhaps, recovery may have burnt her out alot too, I think she was pretty adamant to have it herself too, and having the backing of TLC helped (which is unethical having her transition exploited).
Tbf hindsight is 20/20 and there were never any guarantees that the surgery would it wouldn't have complications. She made what she thought was the best decision for her.
As far as I'm aware there a no more underlying complications? She had a corrective surgery and further aesthetic surgeries for it.
@@spartan1347981 shes an androgen deprived biological male and it will have its effects on mood depression anxiety weight gain etc etc. and low test in biological males has a lot of health effects unfortunately. she may live until shes 60+ but it wont be without its problems. look up 'Castrato' thats the most historical evidence we have on castration.
@@JordanEst she isn't androgen deprived though,since she takes E, she has a different balance of androgen, and is that evidence about low T but taking E to supplement? Or is it just about limiting T? There's a difference. And yes there are some side effects from hrt, but long term use hasn't shown to make people more likely to have health complications. This started in the 80's and trans people who are now in the 40's-60's don't have an endemic of health issues. And yes, hormones affect mood and weight, but it's not affecting her any more than it would be for a cis woman.
Her family doctor shopped until they found unethical ones.

The fields of psychology and psychiatry acknowledge and accept the existence of trans people. So do doctors and scientists. Sex and gender are different, but as a society we associate some secondary sex characteristics with gender. So in order to lower gender dysphoria people get medical care.

This is a horror film. This is a delusion. You know if people saw this mutilation in a horror film they’d see it as grotesque. This “reality” show of what is unrealistic is mutilation, so gross.
First things first, trans people aren't delusional. It's not something to be "solved" or "cured" with antipsychotics, and it's not mutilation, calling healthcare as such is an insult to everyone who's had their body mutilated. There's a big difference between this and a horror film because the patient got this at their request, it wasn't done to them unwillingly. It's not unrealistic in the slightest, so many trans men get top surgery so they can better present as their gender.
I’ve gotten top surgery and honestly it’s far from it. It’s very well done and very gender affirming.
Someone's face does not indicate whether they are sad or not. Jazz feels euphoric, and im sure she still is. If she had a botched surgery, she would've sued the doctors, but she was happy. Doctors have licenses for a reason. Not to ruin ppls lives, but to save them and help them.

No one is giving surgery to minors, if they are it's either special circumstances or they may have passed some competence test to understand the procedure they were being put through

You talk about feeling my bad for detransitioned people because they might be upset because of decisions they made, why do you not have this sympathy for people who are really transgender? @@terrim302 not impersonating the opposite sex, presenting as his gender identity. Also it's not cut off, it's no different than breast reductions, just removing it completely. It is completely improved since those are sources of stress and dysphoria to the patient. Having them can cause emotional and even physical pain and suffering for trans men, removing them via top surgery allows that source of stress to be removed, and he can present as his gender that much easier without having to wear binders

Eh you can make that connection, but to trans people when they're able to live as their true gender it feels like they're finally living as themselves, like their past self was the lie or a performance. That in their new gender they can finally be themselves and it's a new chapter of their lives where they can finally start living, not just existing. It doesn't mean they're a completely different person to who they were before, just that they are now who they are meant to be.

Some, if not most, suffer from a term called gender dysphoria, some of the effects of this can be very extreme, and most the time simple talk through therapy isn't enough to solve this condition. It's been researched for 100 years and been reconfirmed that the best way to treat it is via transition and as medicine and healthcare has evolved they've been able to get surgeries to better present as the gender they are and help lessen or solve the dysphoria they experience from their body via hormones and surgery. This surgery has so many benefits for trans men, some of which arent necessarily immediately obvious. Trans people can't just "be happy in their own body" its the same kind of thing of telling a depressed person "just be happy" it doesnt work like that

I think it’s so important as a trans person whether you’re ftm or mtf to see and witness someone else’s physical journey through surgery. It had to feel somewhat rewarding for jazz to see someone else feel that same euphoria after surgery that she felt but from the opposite perspective. I love this so much and I hope that jazz was able to learn something from it in the process.

It is also extremely hard/impossible to change doctors because another doctor won't touch another patient, so if you're botched (which most are botched because you have a gaping hole like the inside of a cooked chicken) you're fucked. It's easily infected too, the few who's surgery doesn't turn out so bad is still something comparable to frankensteins monster. It's just misinformation and carelessness to think this surgery is not a grift and anywhere near being ready to be carried out as normal procedure.

Apparently 7-10 years after transitioning, lots or most regret the transition... And this is the most common time for suicide.
This is just wrong, almost studies that are blind, peer reviewed and have proper selection show that even up to and after 15 years only about 3 percent regret transition, and that could be for many different reasons, not that they aren't trans but that being trans made their lives more difficult, it's cause of the constant assault of trans people and their rights that make trans people depressed and suicidal. So its not saying that transitioning or getting surgery is wrong or bad or doesn't work, it does, it's then external pressures and triggers will be more noticeable after the internal ones have been solved or lessened. And some places it's really difficult to live as a trans person. Also the main reason for trans suicide is when close people to them, friends, family, coworkers and bosses don't accept their transition.

Especially ftm who get top surgery, there alot of health ailments it prevents

Jazz literally went into a major depression after the surgery when he wakes up he's going to regret everything he has done.
Her surgery had complications so the healing process was alot more difficult and longer than usual as it required corrective surgery too. It's not unheard of for patients of any surgery to go into a depression afterwards. But just assuming off of 1 experience of SRS that a patient of top surgery will regret what he's done isn't logical at all. He seemed happy with the results and when that heals and he can live so much easier as his gender identity that'll make him at ease with the change his body has gone through
