      That's my main issue with a good portion of the "gender fluid/no binary" community: too many of them think that if you are not the perfect delicate girly girl that loves dresses and pink you can't be a woman, or if you are not the manliest emotionally stunned strong men you are not a man. Some even say that if one day they don't feel like using makeup and dresses they are a man that day like.... they're not breaking stereotypes, they're just reinforcing them to a extreme

    • @robbie3828
      @robbie3828 2 ปีที่แล้ว +96

      @@MariaRodriguez-dx6sm this simply isn’t true. Gender fluid and non-binary people (or ‘no-binary’ as you say) don’t believe that if your not at the extremes of masculinity or femininity you must be gender fluid or non-binary. My first point for this is that non-binary people consider their gender to be outside the simple binary ideas of ‘man’ and ‘woman’. So their gender is not inherently linked with masculine or feminine ideas but instead completely devoid of these ideas. What I assume you’re actually referring to is trans-men and women as they are shown often in the media as being the extreme ends of these genders. However, again this is incorrect. Take Elliot page for example. He doesn’t dress as the most manliest man ever. Your idea that transgender seems to boil down to people thinking they can become another gender by dressing as the stereotype of the said gender. This is simply wrong. Sometimes it can be true in some cases someone trans people dress very extremely towards the feminine or masculine side, yes, and this is understandable. With a lot of transphobes constantly trying to push the agenda that ‘trans women are men’ etc, it can push a trans woman for example to become more feminine based on our societal portrayal for women but it is not true in all cases. It is also not true that, as you stated, that the entire trans community believes anyone not at the extreme ends of the gender normative traits are trans. This is nothing more than a straw man argument. I’ve literally never heard a single trans person utter this ridiculous idea and I think it would be wise for you to understand the distinct difference between the binary and non-binary trans community, the difference between gender fluid and non-binary(as I believe linking these two together is very strange) and the difference between what you believe trans people say, based on your media consumption, and what they actually say.

    I too lived as transgender, full time for 3 years.
    When I was 4, my parents were divorced with a bad ending to the relationship. My mother met my stepfather soon after. He was not a pleasant man. He was angry, abusive and unnecessarily violent. I have 2 sisters, no brothers. I am the oldest of us 3. My stepfather was highly abusive toward my mother and myself, and I grew to resent men and wishing I was a girl like my sisters, who never received the same treatment. Im not sure about sexual abuse, but with all the partying my parents were doing, and with all the people they entrusted around me as a child, it wouldn’t surprise me, but if it happened, I blacked it out.
    When I was 11, I remember crying at night and begging whatever god was listening to change me. It wouldn’t be long before I began sneaking in to my mothers room to take her clothes and cross dress in secret. I came out for the first time when I was 16, to my dad and a concerned teacher who had noticed my behavior, being angry, intolerant, combative, non participatory and with outbursts in class. They told me it was a phase and I must be depressed or something, which I was. I began identifying as Chelsea in school, but I was still dressing as a boy. At about 21, I came out full time and was living as a “woman” for about 3 years before deciding that it was insane, realizing the triggers that led me there and deciding that I could live happily as the man I was born. I am now almost 30, having “detransitioned” about 6 years or so ago, and I am more mentally stable and happy with who I am as I’ve ever been.
    Thankfully I grew up in more conservative states where doctors don’t just throw hormones at you. I never took HRT or had any surgeries, and Im thankful for that.
    I don’t regret anything about it because it made me who I am, wiser, stronger and more understanding of the mental illness that is gender dysphoria and the people who suffer from it.
    If you read this far, thank you for reading my story.

      Children are being led, en masse, to the erroneous conclusion that thousands and thousands of them are stuck in the wrong body. Children are so malleable and all this "education" and gender as fashion is really fucking up their lives. These kids are demanding to transition, something they're told at school and by psychologists is an easy fix they can start right away, and their future adult selves are suffering for it. The US isn't as bad as Canada and the UK and I think there's enough resistance to it that it won't be. I think finally people are sick enough of this stuff that the tide is obviously turning against the incredibly loud tiny minority demanding this society wide social experiment with transgenderism.

      @@antiblonda1737 I'm not saying is okay to change gender.
      I'm saying their parents acted in a extremist radical right in a way that their child couldn't take it anymore by this trauma and which made him making choices that he shouldn't be doing. That's why is their parents including their grandma is their fault for let it happen.
      I personally don't like blaming people but a lot of times cases like this... always happens related on how parents raised with their kids and often people refuse to talk about it cuz no one wants to deal with their parents.
      Is like saying: Someone was raised by abusive parents and then years later that same kid becomes into a serial killer Or a school shooter cuz lack of love and attention from parents.
      Therefore, is not kids fault, is their parents or the ones who raised him this way, especially the school system is the one to be blamed the most for brainwashing each generation with false claims and teachings.
      That's why lack of patience and understanding from a child's perspective is one of the main reasons why millenials or Genz are not happy and don't know what to to with their lives especially this school system has failed all of us.
      Sure... it could be also the kids fault if they misbehaves or being rebellious against their parents creating false accusations if is transitioning or something much worse which I'm okay with La chancla or the belt but.... going to far with the beaten causes bigger trauma in various different ways that can affect the child's future and academics.
      And is real, and I made so much research about it cuz I was also abuse in the past as a child by a babysitter when I was 4 years old. And I don't want any child to have the same horrible experience as I did in the past with the whole abuse.
      Today's world people thinks abusive parents is a normal thing which they'll be asking later on why kids are becoming mass murders.
      Well.... their criminals because of you.
      And I already seeing it in my own eyes and people keeps remaining silence and not fixing this problem.

      Understandable. I honestly think that most individuals who wish to transition are truly suffering from Gender dysphoria. That's since become a dirty term even though it's completely relevant still. The problem is these people advising these individuals are placating them and pushing them in the wrong direction when they should be seeking therapy and treatment to address why they feel they need to transition. Transitioning should be a last resort because of the heavy health implications down the road.

I went through the therapist appointments and health check ups to be able to go through hormonal replacement therapy and top surgery at 15. I was all for it at the time, but luckily I realised before it was too late that I'm still so young and underdeveloped and that making a permanent decision like this could be a huge detriment. Watching this guys story, among other detransitioners and successful/happy transitioners when I was younger were amazing resources to have and I'm grateful this guy came forward.

I was never abused, sexually or otherwise, my parents weren't necessarily ecstatic about my decision to change gender, but they respect it. In my country, Poland, we're required to do hormone levels testing, brain scans and psychology visits before transition. Physically there wasn't anything wrong with me, the psychologist decided I was relatively sane, so I got a green light to get cross-sex hormones and had to also go to court to legally change gender, get another round of tests by the court-appointed doctor, won the case, and changed my name. Was pretty awkward at times 'cause the courts aren't in a rush at all, so there I was, 6'1 with a beard due to testosterone, having to explain to people why my ID has a girl name on it lolol. Generally I'd say my quality of life has vastly improved, now I'm just an everyday dude (albeit with funky stuff going on in my pants but that's between me and my sexual partners) out there chilling, minding my own business, going to work, doing a degree, putting money away for the surgeries 'cause they're elective and I have to pay out of pocket.

Everyone goes through some type of struggle in life and some might confuse you because they think that AFFIRMING and DEFLECTING the real issue is going to make you happy. My brother used to wear dresses with me when we were growing up. We were 10 months apart and were very close. I would play a dude on some days and he would play a girl. On other days we stuck to our genders. My brother liked watching my mom do her make up. This went on until he was 7. He never stopped his boyish ways, but he also had this girlish side. We had a very broken home and playing our way was an escapism. But my brother and I did not use those times as a way to define our futures. We are full blown adults now and we never entertained the thought of transitioning. Children grow up with certain preferences. But they are children. I had a 'safe' upbringing. I still think this guy is a dipshit. Anybody who tries to tell you things in black-and-white terms is inherently wrong. The incidence of people who transition back is so tiny compared to the number of people who live in a state of terror and self-hate for years because they're trans and don't get the support that they need.

    • @bigbulk688
      @bigbulk688 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@EfHaichDee By the same logic, the number of trans people are so tiny compared to normal/straight people that they should be ignored.
      Anyways, the only people who are discouraging trans from detransitioning are the trans people. How ironic.

    • @EfHaichDee
      @EfHaichDee ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bigbulk688 Why does anybody have to be ignored? And that is not the 'same logic', I didn't say ignore people who have to detransition, I was pointing out that the chances of someone actually going through with a transition and later changing their minds is so miniscule it's a terrible argument for preventing the majority of them from being able to live as their authentic selves.
      There's a much more important point here, which is that trans people are not the only ones suffering with the way we currently approach gender. Men trapped in toxic masculine roles. Women relegated to a lifetime of being lesser. Anybody who doesn't fit into one of those two categories (and trans is not the only other group) just having to deal with it. This doesn't work for anybody, including the people who are fighting so hard to keep it.
      It reminds me of my father who was so severely physically abused by his father as a child that he's a fucking mess now as an old man, and has been a mess his whole life, but he still says things like 'I was almost beaten to death several times by my father when I was a young child, and I turned out ok. Nothing wrong with beating your children'. Except the evidence is so clear that there is, and he's a very clear example of that, but who's going to say that to his face? And how can you possibly even make him see it if he doesn't want to?
      Edit: Final point about people discouraging detransitioning. I know that claim is misleading. There are plenty of trans people who understand that the process is complex, and are aware of rare cases where people with serious mental illnesses like borderline personality disorder convince themselves they are trans when they aren't. Makes me wonder what this person's full story is - transitioning is a massive thing to do, could you do it if it wasn't really who you are? Sounds like he was dealing with some other issues to me. I mean his whole argument seems to be 'it happened to me so therefore it applies to everybody' which is absurd in and of itself.
      This doesn't detract from the fact that if people weren't trying to use examples like this to argue against *all* trans people from transitioning in the first place, there'd be no reason for any trans person to oppose it, but I agree it seems like a selfish perspective for anyone to take.
      You can't forget that this is a group in our society who is marginalised from a young age and pressured immensely by society to be something other than what they are. To some of them it may just look like the person in this video just gave in to the pressure and decided to detransition just to appease all the people he angered by transitioning in the first place. Again, the obvious solution is just to stop mistreating trans people in general, and let kids grow up being who and what they are. Problem solved. It hurts nobody, and life mostly goes on as it always has. All it requires is for people like you to get over it and stop standing in the way. It's adults who have a problem with this, not the kids.

      I’m really happy that this video is featured on the daily wire. I had come across a couple of these videos through the 700 Interactive Club, a Christian channel here on TH-cam. They have a lot of gay/transgender people who have returned to their sex by finding God. I hope you all take the time to look for these videos, they have a series called “from transgender to transformed.”
      I remember wishing we could send more of these messages out through conservative outlets. I think this is the approach we need to move forward with. I’m really happy the DW put this upload out there. Great content 💖

    While growing up I was my father's son (daughter in reality). It's not that he was grooming me it was he really wanted a son to help him train horses. I worked with him from four years old & up. There was a time I was wondering why I wasn't a boy. Too shy to ask or act on it thank goodness. I learned at a young age (by myself) that you can love motorbikes, sports car racing, racing horses, put the horses through their routine, barrel racing, horse parades, body building, sports, ect but you can also be a seamstress, play piano, sing soprano, cook/bakes, model, makeup artist, work with hair, construction, military administrative officer. You can be what you want but your sex is not up to debate. My youngest son loves colors; pink, purple, red ect. He would wear my heals to take the garbage out. I make man buns in his hair. Ect. He is a man. All three of my children know they can do and be anything but this nonsense of choosing their sex is wrong, mental. My eldest son cooks better than his wife. My daughter can do basic maintenance on the cars and around the house. And she is definitely a girl. It's just stupid. Give yourself a chance to love yourself first.
