Btw, if anyone had noticed the difference in audio quality in this video compared to previous videos, I’m sorry for that. I wasn’t in my normal area for recording. I considered redoing it, but I really wanted to get this video out before 2023 ended. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed my last video of 2023. I look forward to making more content for the next year. Happy New Year everyone 🎉🥳🎆
I have a couple of hot takes if you decide to make part 2: 1. I didn’t mine the HexSquad not having that big of a role in Watching and Dreaming because they had a huge amount of screen time in the previous two episodes and the show’s main characters are Luz, Eda, and King, so that made a whole lot of sense. Plus, if Hunter was there during Belos’ death scene, then he would’ve been both traumatized and guilty that he stomped on Belos because there was a period in his life when he loyal to his “uncle” 2. The beginning of The Hardest Thing with the Core possessing the Moon all the way to Anne’s death should’ve been in All In because it would’ve made the cliffhanger a lot more shocking and devastating. That and we would gotten to have Marcy and Sasha reunite with their parents in the Hardest Thing and Marcy saying goodbye to Anne and Sasha at the airport before the two timeskips.
I do agree with you about the unnecessary dislike or hatred for newer Disney shows. I saw this a lot with Hailey's on It, which while not a perfect is still enjoyable. The Ghost and Molly McGee is also a great show. If you wanna hear a hot take, Amphibia is better then The Owl House. For the first hot take, part of the problem is that Disney wanted more lighthearted episodes for Season 3 instead of more serious story driven episodes. For my hot take, I think people hate on shows and movies that are highly successful simply for being so popular WAY too often. Like, I’m saying we shouldn’t give some less popular stuff love or that we should like something just because everyone else does, but I feel like people tend to default to saying something is overrated way too often. Whether we like or dislike something should be our own opinion, not based on how popular something is

Also, I think he might not even be dead: notice that King mentions there's still some goo left on his foot after the rain dissipates, and that none of the goo disintegrated into gray dust like the goo encasing the Titan bones did. I even think there are still places they could take Belos's character, Namely: the modern human realm is very different from the human realm he came from, he would probably hate it and become obsessed with changing it back to how it was in his day.
Same here I honestly wanted to see Belos either throwing a hissy fit over the human realm changing so much after him being away from for 400 years or having a heart attack over it
Belos is a far bigger threat to humanity then the witches: the human realm he grew up in is very different than the modern one. He would probably hate it and become obsessed with changing it back to how it was in his day, probably through extreme violence and a hostile takeover.
Honestly my Hot take on Amphibia is that is that it could’ve benefited from more episodes LESS focused on Anne and the Plantars so much and give more screentime to Sasha and Grime during Season 3A (and Season 2) along with seeing Andrias and Marcy’s relationship, meeting Marcy and Sasha’s Parents during All in. Barrel’s Warhammer having more lore to it, Along with more lore on the history of Old Amphibia since I feel we’re just scratching the surface of its World Building.
I think people get more attached to serialisation because they find it easier to engage with that kind of storytelling and thus view lack of it as a bad thing without giving new shows a go before judging them. Non-arc storytelling can be just a valid for character material and that’s where Amphibia season 1 shone, it did the heavy lifting for who the characters are, how they interact and why we should care about them as well as exploring the world they live in. Slice of life isn’t automatically a bad thing, and serialised storytelling can be done badly (particularly when there’s a lack of direction). Half the fun of slice of life is seeing who shows up and where the characters go within the story. Owl House had an episode that was commentary on the people who speculate and connect lines between characters and events through Luz and Amity looking for a big mystery behind the author of Azura, only for there to be a mundane answer and a character incredulous they thought there was a big conspiracy.
My secret hot takes: 1. Marcy is necessarily ASD but a wise, ambitious & curious woman who wants escape from her complex family life. Vagabond Chronicles wanted the players to be hooked & changed for the better. It worked on Marcy 2. Amphibia started in 2012 much like gravity falls & ended 10 years later in the series finale. I never felt so related to & belonged to. Making the hot takes special 3.
I meant is NOT autistic, Typo. 3. I can’t wait to see Sprig, Polly & an immortal HopPop conquer new lands & travel comically. (While taking roles as colonizers/invasive species with themes of migrant working)
My hot take is that we’re entering or already in a dark age for animation, at least for mainstream animation. Studios cut and cancel projects prematurely, what is made by studios are mostly mediocre, whatever projects are good are barely advertised, and usually end up being cancelled, all cut and cancelled projects can be locked away, animation workers are overworked, underpaid, and under appreciated, and mainly (what I think the main problem is) the negative stigma that animation is just a genre for kids is still around. But hey while corporate animation is crumbling, indie animation is really popping off.
Here are my two hot takes ^^ 1. Sasha, Amity and Hunter had the best redemption arcs ^^ - their development was really well paced using all their focus episodes to understand them through their personalities and hardships such as Sasha throughout the end of season 2 to have second thoughts on betraying her friends, Amity understanding Luz, Willow, Gus and Hunter for who they are as people and also becoming the best girlfriend to Luz and Hunter overcoming his trauma of being used in Belos plans and ultimately breaking free as we saw in Thanks To Them 2 - We could have had more episodes focusing on Marcy in the Cores mind when it took her over ^^ With the stuff we already had was good, i think we could have lots of more scenes with Marcy inside the cores mind where we see her regret over her actions and really think about what she and her friends what they wanted together ^^
Even tho Amity's redemption arc was good, i feel like Hunter and Sasha are MILES above because their stories aren't basically "I fell in love with mc so i will get better." just my take tho
@@yoshi9046True. In my eyes it’s kinda why they’re higher up as characters in my eyes than Amity. I still love her but she’s known more as “Luz’s awesome girlfriend” than her own individual character nowadays.
A hot take I have is that "It's just a kid's show" is a valid argument, but it can ONLY apply to not liking a thing, not excusing bad writing, bad characters, bad anything
Happy New Year! My hot takes: 1. Amphibia and The owl house are both just as good as Gravity falls if not better. 2. Over the garden wall is the best cartoon network show 3. Avatar the last airbender is extremely overrated 4. Anne is the best amphibia character(idk if this is a hot take) 5. Andrias has the best last minute redemption arc on disney(between Gideon, The collector and Andrias) 6. Amphibia is the most underrated disney cartoon 7. Double Dipper is the most underrated gravity falls episode, Echoes of the past is the most underrated Owl house episode and Wally and Anne is the most underrated amphibia episode 8. Amphibia has the best 3 parter finale of any disney show(better than Weirdmageddon and TOH season 3)
These are my hot takes on Owlhouse and amphibia: 1. Amphibia is kind of underrated show. For season 1,I feel like season 1 could have been more I am not saying season 1 was bad I am saying that some episodes could have been left out. Season 2 was my favorite season we get to see new awesome charters everything was great in season 2. Season 3 three it kind off felt like season 1 some of the Earth's EPs could have been left out for some other EPs like Anne trying to fix the music fox or Sasha's redemption. 2. I agree with you on how everyone is comparing other shows with our house and amphibia it is really annoying just let's shows be their own show. They don't need to be like other shows 3. Sashannarcy is overrated it's not bad but it's not that good. Yeah, I do ship marcanne and sashanne but sashannarcy took over the fandom and it over shadows many good things about amphibia all together. I am not saying you can't ship anything it's just annoying how it takes over the fandom. I understand if you are frustrated with the shipping.
Animation hot take: the next big storydriven cartoon will get hated on a lot..mainly because it’ll be something that “copies” the owlphibia era to fans..we gotta do better as a community and stop being stuck in the past. I genuinely fear that we are letting both good episodic shows rn, and maybe eventually the next serialized show get overshadowed by the cartoons we love now being gone for the near future
i fell like most of the hate towards episodic comedies is because there isn’t anything that follows the adventure toime/gravity falls format left now that the owl house had ended like i get giving them a chance but pretending something like kiff is anywhere near the same caliber of show as the owl house, amphibia, or heck even molly mcgee just isn’t true like they’re not bad shows, they’re pretty decent, i actually quite like big city greens for instance, but they’re just not scratching that steven universe/owl house/gravity falls/amphibia itch. i’m not saying those shows are bad for not being serialized, but now we basically have a complete lack of mainstream story driven cartoons post-owl house ending
My hot take: I've always enjoyed and felt more connected to the more comedic Disney shows, Like Phineas and Ferb for example, rather than the storydriven ones. They're just something I've always felt more comfort in for some reason... Idk why 😭
@@ShellySwirl with shows like amphibia or owl it could've had a ending where everyone died or something but that's just not a worry with episodic shows
This was a really good video! It was perfect for the length of every issue, and really did give me some good for thought. Also thanks for finally shedding light on the kinda issue of indie animation being seen as the single only future for animation, that is just not the case as of now.
DuckTales 2017 is the best Disney TVA Cartoon with excellent world building, amazing characters who are cast pefectly, constantly entertaining and new adventures, solid mysteries surrounding the family it has the most consistent level of quality throughout all the shows with almost no bad episodes. Also it has the best versions of everyone from the main cast also included Daisy Duck especially when it comes to her relationship with Donald. Also it does the family theme better than Amphibia, FIGHT ME
a hot take of mine: i fell like most of the hate towards episodic comedies is because there isn’t anything that follows the adventure toime/gravity falls format left now that the owl house had ended like i get giving them a chance but pretending something like kiff is anywhere near the same caliber of show as the owl house, amphibia, or heck even molly mcgee just isn’t true like they’re not bad shows, they’re pretty decent, i actually quite like big city greens for instance, but they’re just not scratching that steven universe/owl house/gravity falls/amphibia itch. i’m not saying those shows are bad for not being serialized, but now we basically have a complete lack of mainstream story driven cartoons post-owl house ending
You know when the owl house came out people constantly comparing they compare amphibia to GF to some extent and prevent the shows to form an identity under gravity falls shadow it's a cycle if show is good it can break out but adventure time avatar and gravity falls had way bigger shadows than the owl house and amphibia.
TL;DR: Season 2a had the smoothest writing and execution out of any other chapter in the Owl House's run (i.e. S1a, S1b, S2b, and S3) Season 2a was the most consistent in terms of quality for the Owl House. All episodes besides one of them, Keeping-Up-A-Fearance, are bangers. Seperate Tides introduces Hunter and the ongoing angst of Luz having to deal with feeling like a Burden to Eda. Escaping Expulsion introduces the Blight parents, involves them in the Emperor's plan by forcing them to make abomitons for them, and Luz starts crushing on Amity. Echoes of the past has an 8-year-old going through an identity crisis! Keeping-Up-A-Fearances is held back by Gwendolyn being a one to one paralell to anti-vax moms. Through the Looking Glass Ruins has Gus creating the scariest scene of the show and the progression of Lumity. Hunting Palisman explores the intriguing sibling dynamic of Luz and Hunter and Latissa as a location. Eda's Requiem nearly ends with the double sudoku of middle-aged lovers to save their race of people. KKKOHD is just character development and fan service the episode. Eclipse Lake has Hunter and Amity being the best characters and the best backdrop of the entire show. Yesterday's Lie is just so heartbreaking and so damn good and different for an isekai show. Season 1 was a build up to the good stuff at the end, and even then some of the later episodes don't have a consistent slue of great qualities. Season 2b was made up of a lot of fun, creative, and even amazing episodes, but it often had the tendency of underdevelopijng things it introduced due to the cutback of episodes by Disney. Season 3 had For the Future, a special that ended up being less than the sum of it's parts. Thanks to Them and Watching and Dreaming were outstanding, but I could tell that everything had to be condensced, leaving me at some points to think about what might have been.
Yeah I agree with a few of your hot takes and yeah Sasha should've had more of her redemption arc Happy New Year!🥳 And not every show need to be like Gravity Falls or Amphibia it nice to have while cartoony but relaxing shows like Hailey On It, Loud House, Craig of the Creek, Ghost of Molly McGee and a few others 5:35 I would be so down if you review Puss in Boots the Last Wish
i think the best thing we’ve got is broken karaoke or chibiverse FOR NOW… If we’re loud enough the Disney Channel yt channel might see it (PROBABLY NOT BUT ITS WORTH A TRY) and they could think about more crossover type videos? Like chibiverse is cute and all but it’s a bit childish and don’t get me wrong i love broken karaoke but Owl house and GF aren’t really in it, the characters are there but they don’t interact.
Happy new year! That second hot take is so interesting, because it’s half and half imo, we as a community have to do better to let these shows exist as what they are, I see ppl hating amphibia and toh era now BECAUSE we as fans look for only serialized darker toned shows. Are we at fault for wanting that? No absolutely not. But should we aim to give other shows a chance, let them exist as episodic/villain of the week shows. Yes. Yes we should.
On number 1, let's just ignore Disney and what they would do, they're apart of the problem, being a corrupt, greedy company that doesn't understand nor appeciate animation. Let's just be hypothetical here, because that's more fun, and who knows, you never know what might change in the future. An Alternative to 3 seasons could be that you simply have more episodes per season, and dynamic episode length where every episode is as long as it's need to be instead of this 20 episodes, 20 minute nonsense, especially with Amphibia having to crunch down a lot of episodes into A and B episodes. Shows should really just give an act/arc however many episodes they need, and give each episode whatever amount of minutes they need. While this may not be something we can do today, isn't that a better system we should strive towards? Other than that, I totally agree with you, some of those episodes were utterly unnecessary and could of been focused elsewhere. On Number 2, can't we just have both? While I don't completely dismiss these cartoons, I simply like and prefer shows like The Owl House and Amphibia better, they're might favorite flavor of Animation and I don't quite enjoy the other flavors as much so I simply don't bother with them. I'm sure they're good in their own right, but they're not my thing, and I'd like it if there was at least one Serialized, Story-focused cartoon like The Owl House or Amphibia Airing at the same time as these other shows. It's simply what I prefer.
Hot take: The owl house full season wouldn't grantees the better product than what we have now. second one:Just because a Show goes as exactly as planned doesn't make it better than the ones who don't(regular having perfect ending despite being canceled infact 80 percent of animated TV shows face some sort of cancelation)
I don't think the AI one is going to come true, fortunately, based on the outcome of the WGA strikes. But oh my god do I have hot takes for part 2, probably the hottest take in the Amphibia fandom, it's basically sacrilege. I don't like Marcy Wu. And it's kind of the fandom's fault. Now, I happen to think Marcy is incredibly well written, she is not a bad character. I applaud her writing. I just found her honestly as controlling as Sasha, just in a different way, and while they did ignore her needs, she ignored theirs as well. Heavily. She kind of has a hard time allowing people to be their own, independent persons and not just accessories to her own adventures or life. Which I always didn't vibe with. Of course, that's the point of her character, and her growth! I loved how they wrapped up her arc in All In, in letting her friends be able to make their own choices and ways instead of forcing them to go along with what she wants. But the thing that REALLY gets me to dislike her is the fact the fandom ignores ALL of this. The point of the show is all three girls are flawed and kind of terrible people and friends at the start, but Marcy is viewed as the perfect, quirky, cute cinnamon roll of the trio. Instead, Sasha gets the brunt of "bad friend" from the fandom, and this is true, she was a bad friend, but all of them were. She was probably the most blatantly toxic but Marcy literally kidnapped her friends and held them hostage in a sense. She had problems viewing them as their own people. And when it comes to shipping, Marcy is seen as the good, not toxic, better option for Anne than Sasha, and they list all of Sasha's flaws while ignoring Marcy's? They BOTH are controlling what do you mean. The fandom refuses to actually acknowledge any of Marcy's flaws, which is a shame, because her flaws make her such a fascinating character.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope that everyone had an amazing 2023, and I hope that everyone will have an amazing 2024! Love your last video for the year, Marngel! Thx for all your hard work these past few months. Ik you've had a lot going on in your home life, and Ik that uploading videos regularly has been a big challenge. But you've still managed to give us amazing content despite these busy times. I think I speak for all of us when I say that I appreciate all your hard work. I've been quite busy myself these past few months, but in different ways ofc. Plus, I don't have a channel where I have to worry about uploading videos. But I do know what it's like to be really busy, while feeling rushed and out of time. I think most do. But thx again for trying so hard, Marngel. If there's ever any difficulties with getting a video uploaded, I understand. You have a life outside of TH-cam which is WAY more important. I hope you've had a Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year! You're the best!
Hot take: Amphibia is better than The Owl House. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed both of these shows, Amphibia just connected with me better. I was surprised that it’s underrated as it is.
my opinion on people not liking non-serialized shows is this: i myself don't like non-serialized shows, because... i just don't. im not gonna watch a slice-of-life show, cuz i don't like them. are they bad? no! do i like them? no!
I don’t watch the owl house but I do watch amphibia but I do know that the shows were meant to be longer and got cut off/cancelled so that could explain why there were holes in the last season I THINK 🤔
My hot take Marcy doesnt desrve to get off scott free for trapping her friends in a different dimension, that was cruel and disgusting. No matter how lonely and sad she was that she was moving away she shouldve just delt with it like everyone else who went through that. The way the whole fandom doesnt dee any faults within her is absolutely annoying. 2, Sasha didnt do enough to get a redemption arc, and thats was bad writing no way to justify it you can't just have a off screen redemption arc. It wasnt even redemption. She didnt redeem herself, she just did better next time :/ maybe im wrong begause i havent rewatced the show but if I have to resatch the show just to remember a important plot beat than thats not on me. They really should've put more emphasis on it and cut to amphibia during the human world episodes
hot take: ill be honest, as a person with adhd/autism, luz didnt really captivate that a lot. she was hardly ever shown being either of these, and the only time she was, it was done in a "im so quirky" way. never really felt connected to her in that manner, she never did anything that made me think "oh i can relate". maybe except for like one line, but otherwise i don't think shes great rep, but by all means its not bad.
My problem with the Owl House that extends all the way from Gravity Falls actually is the overreliance on irony these types of shows tend to have. Like, almost every line is a lead to a predictable attempt to subvert your expectations. Most obvious kind being constantly switching things that are supposed to be grotesque with things that are supposed to be cute and vice versa. Because of that the worldbuilding suffers and seems like each of its elements is just a one-off gag. Moments of sincere emotions feel very strictly separated from comedic quirky bits, which makes the whole thing just not feel genuine. In comparison, Steven Universe seems like it does the same but somehow is able to seamlessly blend comedy and down-to-earth humanity together, worldly wisdom even, and whenever pieces of lore are explained it really expands the world. Just...why is this magical realm so full of regular human things you constantly see in the background or again subject of predictably unpredictable humor, like their version of iphones or slightly decorated bus stops. Heck, even all the signs are in plain English. The show's world just doesn't feel substantial, instead just a very paper-thin allegory for the creators to project themselves onto. Like, all stories are reflections of its creators but the extent is what matters. Can't give any great examples since I didn't write them down, but it's just the kind of impression i got from the first 10 episodes or so. I simply can not suspend my disbelief for the world that the Owl House is trying to portray, hence can't really enjoy the show despite the oncoming critically acclaimed character drama. Like, how can i treat the lore seriously if the creators sure as heck don't seem to. Compare it to another modern fantasy series like The Dragon Prince, the world of which consists of rules and design tendencies that separate it from ours, despite still being relatable to us - normal earth humans - in terms of psychological experiences of its characters. Sure, the humor is the most juvenile thing ever but it's never on the forefront of the story, not trying to impress you with how try-hard postmodern it is.
I would love to have comments read more in videos. Or even go hit up Deviant Art or look up some fan animations My take just for the sake of having a NOW comment, If Animation wants to be saved it HAS to copy Owl House or Turning Red . Do some thing we have never seen before. We will NOT move forward if we play it safe. Cartoons MUST be willing to try things Audiences may not like. Sex, violence, profanity, offensiveness, nudity may be Immoral but its what we remember. Don Bluth knew it. So did Tim Burton. Genndy Tartakovsky gets it too. Cartoons Need to shake things up.
Without watching the video yet Here's my hot take Luz is too flat of a character, all she got going on is being a quirky misunderstood kid. Eda/Lilith has more character development than the main character Amity/willow/Gus/hunter went through rollercoaster of character development
My hot take: Big Hero 6: The Series is an underrated show that fleshes out the characters more than the actual Marvel comics. Just skip the third season; it can go die in a fire.
4:24 This take is just wrong. Assuming that AI will be good enough to actually replace artists, writters and voice actors, indie animation will be the one where AI will hurt the most. Not every indie is glitch that has an entire company that makes monthly toons. A lot of indie animation is just one or few guys that draw something as a hobby, that simply don`t have the funds and time to make an entire show. So a lot of indie animators will have to resort to AI so that they would be able to at least make their show. And on top of that there will be a lot of shady people who see the rise of indie animation as an opportunity to make a quick buck, and they will obviously use AI a lot, since they don`t care about quality at all. But as for major studios they actually can`t do much with AI, because of the unions. But even if uinions won`t be able to do anything about it, studios will most likely have a better quality AI (compared to a regular public AIs), and if anything studios will be able to hire people to fix some mistakes that AI made. But all that is the worst case scenario. Most likely AI will be used to simplify a lot of work, which would allow studios to make higher quality stuff for the same or even cheaper price.
Aged up Main characters adventuring the Multiverse. Dipper & Mabel were 12 when the season ran. Amphibia ends in 2022 during a time skip too. I think it makes SO much sense & is close to my age

More Marcy content is great in my book.
These takes feel like they came out of the freezer. A lot of people agree with them.
So are saying that "It's just a kid's show" is a valid argument for disliking show?
"I don't watch anime, because only weirdos watch them" ahh take
Happy New Year!
My hot takes:
1. Amphibia and The owl house are both just as good as Gravity falls if not better.
2. Over the garden wall is the best cartoon network show
3. Avatar the last airbender is extremely overrated
4. Anne is the best amphibia character(idk if this is a hot take)
5. Andrias has the best last minute redemption arc on disney(between Gideon, The collector and Andrias)
6. Amphibia is the most underrated disney cartoon
7. Double Dipper is the most underrated gravity falls episode, Echoes of the past is the most underrated Owl house episode and Wally and Anne is the most underrated amphibia episode
8. Amphibia has the best 3 parter finale of any disney show(better than Weirdmageddon and TOH season 3)
I like these takes. *ESPECIALLY* #4
The most underrated Cartoon is Wonder over yander.
i’m agree with them all
These are my hot takes on Owlhouse and amphibia:
They don't need to be like other shows
I genuinely fear that we are letting both good episodic shows rn, and maybe eventually the next serialized show get overshadowed by the cartoons we love now being gone for the near future
i fell like most of the hate towards episodic comedies is because there isn’t anything that follows the adventure toime/gravity falls format left now that the owl house had ended
like i get giving them a chance but pretending something like kiff is anywhere near the same caliber of show as the owl house, amphibia, or heck even molly mcgee just isn’t true
like they’re not bad shows, they’re pretty decent, i actually quite like big city greens for instance, but they’re just not scratching that steven universe/owl house/gravity falls/amphibia itch. i’m not saying those shows are bad for not being serialized, but now we basically have a complete lack of mainstream story driven cartoons post-owl house ending
@@SpinelFan64 very true I needed this comment!!!
My hot take:
I've always enjoyed and felt more connected to the more comedic Disney shows, Like Phineas and Ferb for example, rather than the storydriven ones.
They're just something I've always felt more comfort in for some reason... Idk why 😭
That's not a hot take that's a preference in tv shows

@@Guy_who_likes-music I just considered it one cause way more people seem to prefer storydriven shows. 😭

Also it does the family theme better than Amphibia, FIGHT ME
Honesty while not my personal fave I do think it's definitely up there and desevere more love in general

I just want them to coexist instead of people just disliking quickly because a more episodic show is around
S1a, S1b, S2b, and S3)
Season 2a was the most consistent in terms of quality for the Owl House.
Yeah I agree with a few of your hot takes and yeah Sasha should've had more of her redemption arc
Happy New Year!🥳
And not every show need to be like Gravity Falls or Amphibia it nice to have while cartoony but relaxing shows like Hailey On It, Loud House, Craig of the Creek, Ghost of Molly McGee and a few others
5:35 I would be so down if you review Puss in Boots the Last Wish
I'd give anything for an Owl House-Amphibia-Gravity Falls crossover sequel series. What would you want to see in one?
So would I! But I don't think the any of the characters would get enough development and stuff because there are so many if you put them together.
i think the best thing we’ve got is broken karaoke or chibiverse FOR NOW… If we’re loud enough the Disney Channel yt channel might see it (PROBABLY NOT BUT ITS WORTH A TRY) and they could think about more crossover type videos? Like chibiverse is cute and all but it’s a bit childish and don’t get me wrong i love broken karaoke but Owl house and GF aren’t really in it, the characters are there but they don’t interact.
Happy New Year, Marngel! 🥳🎊🎈🎆
Happy new year to you too!!
I’d love to see a part 2 of this
2:45 There I am Gary, there I am!
While I would've liked to see your reaction to my hot take, it was nice to see it appear in the video.
Hot take: Amphibia is better than The Owl House. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed both of these shows, Amphibia just connected with me better. I was surprised that it’s underrated as it is.
Still wanna see that Amphibia missed potential video!
my opinion on people not liking non-serialized shows is this: i myself don't like non-serialized shows, because... i just don't. im not gonna watch a slice-of-life show, cuz i don't like them. are they bad? no! do i like them? no!
Sorry for talking about my issues of the animation industry for too long it just really sucks that we animation fans are stuck in a rut
nice thumbnail Marnge, i like the text.
I don’t watch the owl house but I do watch amphibia but I do know that the shows were meant to be longer and got cut off/cancelled so that could explain why there were holes in the last season
I THINK 🤔
My hot take
Marcy doesnt desrve to get off scott free for trapping her friends in a different dimension, that was cruel and disgusting.
For the Amphibia community, my hot take is that I personally think that The Hardest Thing is the best episode, and no one can tell me otherwise
hot take: ill be honest, as a person with adhd/autism, luz didnt really captivate that a lot. she was hardly ever shown being either of these, and the only time she was, it was done in a "im so quirky" way. never really felt connected to her in that manner, she never did anything that made me think "oh i can relate". maybe except for like one line, but otherwise i don't think shes great rep, but by all means its not bad.
as an autistic person, i found luz pretty relatable, but it was marcy that was the “omg she’s literally me, like that’s how i act” character
In my opinion Philip's death would have been better if Hunter was one of three doing the stomp.
1:53 i think instead of more season theyre shouldve been longer seasons
Interesting
I would love to have comments read more in videos. Or even go hit up Deviant Art or look up some fan animations
My take just for the sake of having a NOW comment,
If Animation wants to be saved it HAS to copy Owl House or Turning Red .
Then watch Bluey.
Without watching the video yet
Here's my hot take Luz is too flat of a character, all she got going on is being a quirky misunderstood kid.
Eda/Lilith has more character development than the main character
Amity/willow/Gus/hunter went through rollercoaster of character development
