I remember watching these videos 4 years back and thinking why do so much when you can achieve everything within a DAW with inexpensive plugins? Coming back to this now realising that nothing beats a live performance using your hands. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge.

Gotta tell you -- I return to your videos pretty regularly, including your "how to" series and the live shows at Traunsee. I've even now got a Subsequent 37, P6 and Digitakt. Really appreciate your efforts to share knowledge, set up, etc. Keep em coming!

Thank you for sharing your ideas how to control the Prophet and also for the complete series. Beginning of the song reminds me somehow at „The Veldt“ from Deadmau5. Your inspiration?

Also, can you please explain why you chose the Prophet 6 over other poly synths? I have a Juno 106 but I'm currently thinking of changing it for a Prophet 6.

oh man - I had a Juno 6 and that was the only poly-synth I've ever tested. It had a beautiful sound, however it was not the right thing for my music. I just wanted an analog polysynth which is rich in sound and that can store presets. So I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion, it has to be the prophet 6 or the OB-6.
That time the Prophet was cheaper (on thomann) than the OB-6 so I decided to buy a Prophet!
I really do not regret that decision.

Paul Ruben - Sounddesign Thanks for taking the time to reply. It seems I’m at a very similar place as you were. Juno 106 with Kiwi mod, my first and only polysynth. Sounds great, but most of the time too cheesy for my taste, especially with the chorus on. And without the chorus it isn’t as special. I really miss a second osc and proper voice spread. The Prophet seems like the best option but I had been reluctant to sell my synth in case I regretted it. Less so after watching your videos!

Paul, what camera set up do you use to make those Vintage flavored videos of yours?
