Cool video, and a good fun interval / fartlek session to boot!

Race looked really fun run/race , reminds me of a cycling Audax but for running. I love Saysky kit (likely using it for Boston) on balance my favorite price/performance running gear (Wife always gets me a great voucher for Christmas) . Thanks for posting.

The point you make about the price/performance is a good one...which reminds me they have some new reflective gear I meant to check out...

What an interesting idea for a run. I would have been lost multiple times unless I spent time putting the directions on phone... In group runs I just follow the crowd. Lucky for you for not getting run over by vehicles.

You were allowed to use the phone if you needed to. Luckily I didn't and a reasonable knowledge was fine. And in groups I guess they shared the knowledge. Nice route around the city in fairness, on both sides of the river

Dublin by night, what a grand tour, Barry! You know your city better than I do, that's for sure 🫶
The night filming worked well, by the way 👍
Seeing you have all this fun reminded me of the Osaka marathon training session our Inside Running Podcast organised around Albert Park Lake earlier this year. Got to love a good group run.
Did I hear you mention at one point that Dublin has a Daniel Libeskind building?

Yes there is a Daniel Libeskind building. Not a great success methinks. I'm not a fan of his work, and this one has been value engineered down...the Martha Schwartz landscaping is much more successful.

Great race review Barry. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though it wouldn't be fun for me.
Can I offer 2 pieces of feedback on the video? Firstly, as i read from keft to right, please could the fly-in titles fly from right to left, rather than their current left to right, as that would make them much easier to read? Also could they stay on the screen for a second longer than they currently do? Lastly, I don't know it it was the image stabilisation, but I found the running footage too wobbly to view without feeling travel sick. Is this the best the action 5 has to offer regarding image stabilisation? I hope not as it meant I had to skip most of the running footage in this video 😞

Chris. Thanks for the comments. Great to get the feedback. The titles were a bit longer in this video than usual...and co-incided with me trying to cut down on the length of time they took. I will revert the time and keep trying to shorten the titles. I am not sure what right to left will look like but will try. My thinking is that with the titles coming from the left, your eyes move left to right. Will do some tests. Might send you a sample!
The problem with the wobbly footage is the chest mount. My intention was to swap between it and the selfie stick, but then adrenaline overtook me! I thought most people would skip through or scrub through the footage, and in one way it made the chaotic night look, well chaotic. Will learn from this run for future technique improvements...at least that is the plan...

Reddit describes these runs as perfect for the lonely urban bachelor 😂😂😂😂😂
