I have not run in the SC Trainer v3. I did run two marathons in the SC Elite v4. Of the two I ran in, the max cushion plush would be the MagMax, but when you add in springy it would be the SC Elite v4. Money no object I would buy and run in the SC Elite v4. It will wear out sooner, and be less plush, but a great shoe to run in.

The carbon plate might add a marginal cost, the rest is likely marketing...

As you can imagine I have quite a few shoes to wear out...! Going to do some more treadmill running in a few weeks for a video...as soon as I get Dingle done...

I plan to use these when the knees are beaten up...but I do like them. Pop them on and forget about them type running...

Morning Bev! Somehow missed this comment...heading out in an hour or so...No idea if there is a tracker, going to be taking it nice and easy, I filmed the entire course with the GoPro mounted on the car...stunning. I also got the drone out, and of course bought another one that arrives Monday...The hills will be challenging, but in reality I have no performance targets other than maximum fun!

You know me...I searched the internet for them last week...and I could import them, for a huge fee, so then I had something tugging in the back of my mind...and I remembered, IKEA sell them, Gifflar. They are now loaded up and ready!

I imagine we could get 4 seasons in one day. Plenty of grit will get me home. Quite excited about this one...so excited that by mistake, I released the video 24 hours early!No harm done...the likely good weather should make for an interesting filming of the course.

You are right, this is designed for more miles than a carbon plate shoe, and will be more durable. It's just I wouldn't want to run so many miles in them and as you say there are other and better options

​​​​@@OldManRunner so agree with @TolunayOrkun on Nike adding this shoe to complete their training arsenal AND on SL2 being a better value shoe. Ultimately for me, old racing shoes do the job even better. Especially now when I'm running less I don't want to let them sit in the cupboard indefinitely ... so it's been carbon plated easy jog walks and running never felt better 😂🫶

@@TomAnatoly I find them very comfortable. My favourite walking shoe is the Nike Infinity RN4. I have the GoreTex GTX version which are great for rainy walks.

Markus, can I ask what the items were? Would be good to know. I have got good life out of my Soar running gear generally, but I take a lot of care washing them. Somewhat unusually I am a great fan if their tops, not so much the other products.

@@OldManRunner Sure, it was a hot weather zip shirt. The glue was falling apart. That is one issue. The responses on 28 days "return" while the item was simply defect was what was more appealing to me, given the price of the items. I do get that things can happen. It reminded me of your commentary of their zips on pants. Unnecessary at the price point. I love small niche brands and would like to support them. Thanks for your nice reply!

I don't know of any shoes that make you grow taller, but wearing dark colours and vertical lines on clothing may make you look taller.

Glad you enjoyed the video and I don't mind answering about my weight. I weigh 92.4kg/203.lbs as of this morning. My ideal weight would be 78-80kg. I am 172.5cm tall/5'8" tall, otherwise known as, not very. I think the weight of the runner will make a difference, particularly in how much cushioning that might be needed. In the past I have been over 100kg, running occasionally, and when I was, I wore more cushioned shoes. Recently I made a video on the weight of the actual shoe and what difference it makes: th-cam.com/video/yRciUATMHhQ/w-d-xo.html People commented that I should use the same shoe and add weight to the shoe rather than try different weighted shoes. So I bought some weights to make exactly that video. But your comment has given me some ideas as to another video, where I keep the weight the same and add weight to myself. So I will add some weights, do some tests and see how I get on! I am running a marathon next weekend and will be making videos about that for the next couple of weeks, but after that I will make the video.

Yes. Quite intriguing really but there could be all sorts of logistical and marketing dynamics I am unaware of. I am really interested in the projected Streakfly with a carbon plate. Not quite the same thing but should be intriguing...

Chris. Delighted you enjoyed it...I enjoy making all these tests as it gives me an interest in getting out the door. I am doing some more digging in how the foams are finalised in each shoe...I think a few more shoe sawing sessions might be in order...

I have the VF 3, the Inv 3 and the Streakfly, also AF 1 & 2 and have no intention to buy a Peg plus but have the Ultrafly and use them often on my road-to-trail runs.

I have most of the Nike shoes incl currently the ZF5 VF3 AF3 SF Peg41 (been running in Nike since the late 70's) and I decided to try the PP. I found it underwhelming to be honest. Maybe I need to give it more time...I found it was very firm and seemed to be very flat.

.... and I also have the Zegama 1 & 2 which I like , could you do a durometer test on the Zegamas (if you own them - you should as they are ZoomX shoes !!! 😉) and the Ultrafly ... I don't know if it makes sense at the Ultrafly as its midsole is "covered"?

Stephen. As you probably know I don't watch reviews before I make my own and it is always a relief to discover I am not the only person who felt a particular way about a shoe...

Funnily enough I was disappointed by the Ultrafly. It might have been my expectations of some form of lightweight absorbent magic trail carpet...and as I don't run on trail as often as I would like I gave them up, and loved The North Face Vectiv Pro...

I always use Gold Bond Friction Defense...the longer the run, the more I use. You can get it in most pharmacies in the US, CVS, Walgreens etc. I stock up when I am over and if I run out I get some on Amazon.co.uk. Glide works but is more expensive. I apply it to myself first and if the liners have raised seams (few do) then I apply it to the seams if I am going for a long run. I have had excruciating chafing in the past. My plan is to resort to them when feeling really beat up or injured, so hopefully not very often...!

As it stands, the Puma's but I may have some recency bias. I prefer the upper and there is more compliance..they feel less squidgy when I run with each on different feet. I plan to do a comparison review...and will certainly get the new Invincible 4's when they get launched.

I haven't run in a stability shoe in some time. I did run in every version of the Brooks Transcend, now Glycerine GTS and I liked them. Super plush and comfortable. They may be a bit similar to the Gel Kayanos and in a rotation it is good to have something different to exercise different muscle groups. With that in mid I would look at something like the Hoka Arahi 7 which are are lighter shoe with a 5mm drop and should give a different experience...I have not run in them but I have run in a variety of other Hoka's

Fresh Foam for me bottoms out at the end of 45 minute+ runs. This is in the More V3, V4 and 1080 v13. Never had that issue in a cushioned Puma shoe.

I haven't tried the NB's. They do look interesting. I love the SuperComp Elite V4, but it is a different shoe...I was surprised how much I like the foam in the MagMax
