    rather than holding the throttle at how ever many rpms for 15 mins, isn't it better to just drive the car lightly?

      Maybe, but the procedure described here is the one prescribed by Ford

      I just took it out and pushed it with high revs for 10 mins. Brought the coolant down an inch and a half and then topped it up

    So no bleed screws on these things pretty simple then??

      That's right. As long as you follow the purge procedure described, should be straight-forward

      @haydenshefford1138 Have owned Mk7’s since 2016, and only just discovered a bleed screw when replacing my motor in my Metal… it’s on the drivers side (RHD) on top of the radiator pointing parallel
      I suppose it makes it quicker to refill
