It makes my blood BOIL that the judge allowed Danny to be released on bail. Looking at the beautiful, happy family whose lives he took is devastating. What an absolute monster. May he rot in hell.
it's so obvious what his intentions were in the first house, the idea of simply setting any bail, let alone bail for what probably were class C felonies is ridiculous.
I believe it's worse than depicted, Danny knew the other family ( not random) waited for the father to be gone, sa'd the pregnant wife then shot her in the head, and drowned her two small children ( father away is why he killed 3 out of 4) 😢 I wonder if the judge and defense attorney that got him bail sleep well at night
He would've been out eventually anyway. He would've pled to Robbery, assault, or Stalking.... And only served 1-5 years maybe. The justice system can only look at what someone does, not what they might do in the future. But I agree that pre trial release for somebody like him is nuts. And it would've made the difference for the family he eventually killed.

How was the judge supposed to know the future? Should we lock MORE people up based on what might happen? Blame the perpetrator, not the judge. Your country profits from incarceration, AND has the highest rate of incarceration. So the answer is lock up more people?
I had two tickets to go see you but I let my son and his girlfriend go. They’re both 16, and you are their absolute favorite- now don’t get me wrong, you’re my favorite as well, but I figured for the younger generation to go and do something like that would be very great for them. They were so happy and thrilled. They had a wonderful time, and next time I’m definitely gonna get more than two tickets.

39:54 I get that Danny hadn't committed any acts of violence yet when released on bail, but the fact that he was obviously unhinged, broke into his first victims house while stalking, harassing and tormenting them for MONTHS and had made multiple visual threats of violence towards them, makes it so completely unfathomable that any court would believe releasing this monster on bail, wouldn't have been a huge risk to the safety of not only the family he had originally harassed, but to the public in general. And now multiple members of a family unrelated to the previous crimes had lost their lives. That was absolutely preventable if those involved had just used a smidge of common sense. SMH.
There is a legal term that can elevate misdemeanors into felonies and a class D felony to a class C, for example, and it's called 'in furtherance of another crime'. Whilst it's technically true this monster committed felony trespass, breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon, all of that was CLEARLY in furtherance of murder.
Yea, if the judge doesn't give bail, they're evil, when they do, they're evil. Really no winning, that's why I don't like the signature bond and crap that's being pushed, look at the innocence project, just fought to get a dude released and he ended up taking someone's head off, with a sharp metal pokie thing. He was also hiding out in a woman's garage when they finally captured him. Because Danny was known to intentionally move items around, the homeowner noticed the changes to her garage when she pulled in. It probably saved her life.
Where the hell was this child’s mother and father - would they not worry or wonder where their child, Danny, is. Good Lord - kids are definitely an issue on their own but that’s crappy parenting not worrying where your child is. It’s guess we don’t really know as his parents are never even mentioned.
Gaps in turn-over does NOT a secure residence make. As a Marine and security guard, I know this for a fact, and the idea that the police didn't realize this upsets me greatly.

Been watching Mr Ballen since basically he had just started getting bigger on TH-cam 3-4 years ago and it one of not the best routines to hang on. Community is just as wholesome. And since in from Germany, it really improved my somewhat already basic language skills to the point that I started thinking to myself in english. Wild
Panic makes u do crazy things. I also jumped from a 3 story bedroom as the house was under construction. The builders showed up and saw us and started calling the cops. We bailed.
Even though I've been watching for many years, how the hell you managed to tell a story, which I've heard before, yet it wasn't until late into the story that I remembered it?.... That's why you're the goat of story telling!

I just heard the old one from 4 years ago again like a day or 2 ago and it wasn’t bad at all but this remake is amazing he truly is an amazing story teller and just gets better and better each and everyday

I couldn't believe that they let him out on bail. He was a credible threat, not just to the first family but to society at large. He should have received a battery of psych tests to determine if he would ever be fit to live outside of an institution.

Every single story on the tour was SO great! You can captivate an audience like no other. You could hear a pin drop while you were on stage. Was such an honor to meet you, too. 1000% worth it to see him live, y'all. Walk thru hell and high water to get tickets to his next tour. I know I will! No matter where the venue is. I’m so crazy busy and getting ready to leave when I see the notification and time froze. My head had to process priorities and I couldn’t remember I’m getting ready for Thanksgiving, buying my first home, and decorating a hotel with 3 nine foot trees, nothing else existed. I went straight to the story, and damn glad I did. I promise to watch all of the commercials if you put them together at the beginning, I noticed it broke my intense concentration on John. He got me right back, but I would have preferred it being a smoother ride. For some reason this is more important on a Ballen story than anywhere else.
Welcome to the justice system where they keep criminals who are likely to commit horrific crimes behind bars for way less time compared to a person in there for a lesser charge, doesn't make any sense he was clearly missing some screws up there so why not get the dude some mental assistance instead of a small vacation just to let him out to potentially kill someone which he did unfortunately it was multiple people of another family, it's sickening how this justice system works
Yeah, seriously! I have had such a weird week. I did not work my normal work days and I literally had to take a minute and figure out what day it was when I saw the new upload! I started wondering if it was actually Saturday or Sunday.
If the upload isn't on Saturday or Sunday it's a bad thing because that means it's a story he already told before and we don't get a new one on the weekend

Hi Mr. Ballen! I was at your show in Indianapolis, so from personal experience, your "Like Button Shenanigan" was spot on! My husband and I were in the 15th row and our seats were right in the middle of that row. I was so incredibly excited to see you, so I truly did not care where we sat. That being said, I had to sit with my legs tucked up underneath me so I could see you! Your live show was absolutely AMAZING, but the room in Indianapolis left much to be desired. However, you and your outstanding storytelling ability made up for it in every way possible! Thank you for bringing your talent to the masses, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
@@sasukesgirl20 I was there to. The seats were just very uncomfortable and packed closely together. It’s an older room in the venue. So the seats were almost like dining room chairs

I’ve literally paired Mr.Ballen with better health and this is a great combination. WITH gym exercise.. unbeatable. Strange, dark, and mysterious turned into.. great therapy, great discipline in my health and the gym combined, then I get the greatest reward of entertainment in my life. Which is my good friend Mr.Ballen. All I can say is thank you Jon and the fans. A family I never knew I had 😢.
What’s crazy is I was scrolling through old Ballen videos a couple days ago and found this OG one. It had been a while, so I watched it again, thinking “this is crazy, there’s got to be more to this story”. Thanks so much Mr. Ballen!
You know, there’s a lot for parents to learn from the story “the boy who cried wolf”. It’s pretty sad that 99 times out of 100 parents will tell their kids to stop making things up, or even blame and punish them when something crazy happens ie. writing on the wall

As someone who's been in that place too, be proud that you've recognised you needed a bit of help & reached out for it. Asking for help is no small thing & it takes a lot of guts to admit (even to urself) that things aren't good & you need to reach out to someone. It's nothing to be ashamed of (unfortunately some people still have that stigma) & sadly it's so common nowadays that imo it's no different to being on insulin or having an asthma inhaler. All this to say - you got this! So from one stranger, way out middle of buttfuck nowhere in country New Zealand, to another ((( hugs ))) & welcome to the club of the crazies lol 😉😂
I don't like that he promotes betterhelp though. I am all for mental health and have had a few issues myself but they have had massive, and I mean MASSIVE data breaches and divulged a bunch of customers medical history and very personal info onto the dark web and straight into the hands of data brokers. Not my cup of tea at ALL, I like the idea but it needs to be next to hackproof because your medical history is very personal info in my opinion. I would not care a bit to share mine with even complete strangers but some folks, not so much. I hope he decides to part ways with them and find a better way to promote better mental health.

I am loving the recent uploads. The creepy true mystery stories are what lead me to subscribe. The paranormal / medical stuff is okay, but nothing beats a good true creepy murder story delivered in that Mr. Ballen style.

I lived in the house that was built in the 1930's and it had a basement. When I went in the basement it always felt like someone was standing in the far corner staring at me. A girlfriend moved in with me. The first time she came up from the basement she asked if I ever felt like someone was staring am me when I was down there. I had never told her about the feeling.. I wasn't the only one in the family that felt it. My grandfather had died in the room above that corner of the basement.
Houses where I live (Australia) rarely have an attic or basement due to climate reasons and design reasons etc. I’m kind of glad when I hear all these scary stories about them!
Mr ballen is my go to storyteller. I'm 33 years old. A good storyteller never goes out of style. Especially when it has truth to the tale. Details baby details!
Check out Jay Williams, he's a great story teller. He talks about his experiences he had in the streets and in prison. It's definitely strange and dark content.

I never comment on videos but as much as I was hooked on listening to the stories of the dark, strange, and mysterious, you've got to find some new ones! What drew me in to the channel was that you always had new content, more and more you're just telling the same stories over and upload less frequently. Losing some of the fun of watching. I so badly wanted to go to one of your shows but couldn't afford it. I've been listening to you tell all these amazing stories for years now. Each one better than the last. I can't remember how I stumbled onto your show but I'm grateful!
39:54 I get that Danny hadn't committed any acts of violence yet when released on bail, but the fact that he was obviously unhinged, broke into his first victims house while stalking, harassing and tormenting them for MONTHS and had made multiple visual threats of violence towards them, makes it so completely unfathomable that any court would believe releasing this monster on bail, wouldn't have been a huge risk to the safety of not only the family he had originally harassed, but to the public in general. And now multiple members of a family unrelated to the previous crimes had lost their lives. That was absolutely preventable if those involved had just used a smidge of common sense. SMH.
Sadly that’s our justice system!! I thought exactly the same way as you. How can he have been released from bail when he’s clearly not all there.
I dunno…ordering a family into a room while wielding an axe is pretty violent.
There is a legal term that can elevate misdemeanors into felonies and a class D felony to a class C, for example, and it's called 'in furtherance of another crime'. Whilst it's technically true this monster committed felony trespass, breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon, all of that was CLEARLY in furtherance of murder.
It's a common thing to hear that a terrible crime is committed when a person is let out on bail. When will the authorities ever learn that?!!
Yea, if the judge doesn't give bail, they're evil, when they do, they're evil. Really no winning, that's why I don't like the signature bond and crap that's being pushed, look at the innocence project, just fought to get a dude released and he ended up taking someone's head off, with a sharp metal pokie thing.

He was also hiding out in a woman's garage when they finally captured him. Because Danny was known to intentionally move items around, the homeowner noticed the changes to her garage when she pulled in. It probably saved her life.

I couldn't believe that they let him out on bail. He was a credible threat, not just to the first family but to society at large. He should have received a battery of psych tests to determine if he would ever be fit to live outside of an institution.

I’m so crazy busy and getting ready to leave when I see the notification and time froze. My head had to process priorities and I couldn’t remember I’m getting ready for Thanksgiving, buying my first home, and decorating a hotel with 3 nine foot trees, nothing else existed. I went straight to the story, and damn glad I did. I promise to watch all of the commercials if you put them together at the beginning, I noticed it broke my intense concentration on John. He got me right back, but I would have preferred it being a smoother ride. For some reason this is more important on a Ballen story than anywhere else.

Wow. This is by far the most chilling story of all. I literally have goose bumps and my heart is pounding. This story took a turn I never expected.
I’ve literally paired Mr.Ballen with better health and this is a great combination. WITH gym exercise.. unbeatable. Strange, dark, and mysterious turned into.. great therapy, great discipline in my health and the gym combined, then I get the greatest reward of entertainment in my life. Which is my good friend Mr.Ballen. All I can say is thank you Jon and the fans. A family I never knew I had 😢.

As someone who's been in that place too, be proud that you've recognised you needed a bit of help & reached out for it. Asking for help is no small thing & it takes a lot of guts to admit (even to urself) that things aren't good & you need to reach out to someone.
It's nothing to be ashamed of (unfortunately some people still have that stigma) & sadly it's so common nowadays that imo it's no different to being on insulin or having an asthma inhaler.

I don't like that he promotes betterhelp though. I am all for mental health and have had a few issues myself but they have had massive, and I mean MASSIVE data breaches and divulged a bunch of customers medical history and very personal info onto the dark web and straight into the hands of data brokers. Not my cup of tea at ALL, I like the idea but it needs to be next to hackproof because your medical history is very personal info in my opinion. I would not care a bit to share mine with even complete strangers but some folks, not so much. I hope he decides to part ways with them and find a better way to promote better mental health.

I am loving the recent uploads. The creepy true mystery stories are what lead me to subscribe. The paranormal / medical stuff is okay, but nothing beats a good true creepy murder story delivered in that Mr. Ballen style.
To me the saddest part is the kids thought their mom was responding to them and they lost that hope. Creepy and sad😢

I lived in the house that was built in the 1930's and it had a basement. When I went in the basement it always felt like someone was standing in the far corner staring at me. A girlfriend moved in with me. The first time she came up from the basement she asked if I ever felt like someone was staring am me when I was down there. I had never told her about the feeling.. I wasn't the only one in the family that felt it. My grandfather had died in the room above that corner of the basement.
Houses where I live (Australia) rarely have an attic or basement due to climate reasons and design reasons etc. I’m kind of glad when I hear all these scary stories about them!

Was wondering the same. You've clearly got a psychopathic person in your hands who tried to murder a family and you just let him walk around free. The blood of the family that he killed is on the hands of whoever approved it and should also face jail time.

I never comment on videos but as much as I was hooked on listening to the stories of the dark, strange, and mysterious, you've got to find some new ones! What drew me in to the channel was that you always had new content, more and more you're just telling the same stories over and upload less frequently. Losing some of the fun of watching. From a fellow Navy vet, please start doing more stories that are new, thanks for what you do!
