The issue with all inclusive hair care is that you simply cannot formulate a line that is all inclusive because of the very different physiological differences in our hair. The best way to approach this problem is to actual have a collection dedicated to textured hair AS WELL as non textured hair. That's like coming out with 13 products but that's the only way to be inclusive without forcing everyone to use same products
@BusylovingJesus and more often than not it is the textured hair community that will get short changed. Haircare unlike skincare has to take differences in texture into account. There is simply no way around this. Even here in Africa research has shown that southern African texture is different to Western Africa or Eastern Africa and we are talking 4c hair. Not any other curl pattern. That is why CRODA biggest supplier of raw ingredients set up an African HAIRCARE research centre in South Africa to study our hair more so they can produce raw ingredients specifically for our 4C texture.
I'm really tired of hair brands also wanting the black community to prop up their companies but they don't dare to market to us directly. I saw someone with type 2 hair review this line, and that's when I knew I'm out 👎🏾 It's obviously not for type 4 hair and that's OK. Stop trying to be inclusive with hair especially because kinky African hair has totally different needs.
@@hayaglamazonluxe Exactly!
Yea I won’t be purchasing this hair care line ever. Seems like when you go to a hotel & they already have a shampoo & conditioner in the shower.
Both Rihanna and Beyoncé have multi racial, diverse fan bases. It makes sense to want to appeal to and target their entire fanbase. If you want hair products, directed only to Black people, I guess you shouldn’t be using a celebrity that is internationally famous as your brand. or wait until they specifically released a line that is targeted towards Black people.
You definitely weren’t being dramatic. There is another Black TH-camr that I watch and I trust her reviews and she wasn’t in love with most of the products either. From watching you post wash days almost every week I definitely seen your hair look way better before. I am glad you were honest in your review because with these celebrity hair brands i can tell a lot of TH-camrs are not honest because they want celebrities to notice them… Good for you for staying true to yourself.
True.
I think bc I’m used to not having brand deals or being on PR lists I’m not afraid to say what I want especially because, thankfully, I don’t depend on influencing to be financially stable.😂
@@britttanyrose which is a blessing from God !!!!
I so agree with you! I wish people would just say they don’t like it instead of trying so hard not to. It comes across in the video
What TikTok is it
Seeing people say “well it’s just not for you girl” is so odd because the whole line was marketed for everybody. So if it doesn’t work some people then that means the product is the problem 😂😂
Right!
No matter what a company says, it’s naive to think that every single product will work for every single person. That’s their hope, yes, but as a consumer, you know or will determine, what will ultimately work for you specifically.
Its almost 4am where I am and was crying because my sister passed away in February and every day i seem to be waiting for her but she is not coming back.
So I got on TH-cam to distract myself and saw this video and i was about to skip the intro but I heard a voice telling me to not skip, to wait and see the bible verse.
You guys we are not alone, even in our grief, God is still with us. 🙏🏿 ❤️
Edit: These comments brought tears to my eyes, thank you guys so so much, may God bless you all so much for your kindness 🙏🏾♥️
Sorry for your loss. May God comfort and keep you during this difficult time.
Sorry for loss ❤ 😢. Sending prayers to you
Sorry for your loss. 💕💕 will be praying for you.
So sorry for your loss 😢❤❤
I’m so sorry about your sister. Sending you a lot of love xoxo
That creating a makeup line with 40 shades of foundation to creating a haircare line with products that are only for people with loose textures was honestly such an important comparison for you to make.
Thank you! And I think that helps to shut down any excuses of people saying that they can just add products later on. Inclusive.
@@britttanyrose nobody is making excuses for Rihanna lol idk her and she don’t know me lol…I see you ignored my comment and that’s fine. You have a problem accepting criticism and it def shows ❤️
@@darealcuttyqueenare you ok?😂
@@darealcuttyqueen wow, this comment wasn’t meant for me, but I’d like to point out that TH-cam has been deleting MANY comments for no discernible reason. Maybe, just maybe, your comment received that treatment.

Type 4, particularly 4C hair, is ALWAYS an after thought. *IF* it’s even a thought at all. Thought fenty would be different. Smh..can’t say I’m surprised, though. That’s how all these companies are whether it’s hair products, complexion products, skin care/repair products, etc..
When Black people are thought about (if they are), it *tends* to be the mixed race Black people. Like Black people who have a Black dad and a white mom (one Black parent and one non-Black or two mixed parents or something).
People w two Black parents and four Black grandparents..their skin and hair isn’t even thought about until companies receive backlash..even backlash won’t make a lot of companies give a damn.
Facts
This statement doesn’t even make sense. Mixed race is considered black one. Black people who have 2 black parents can still have looser texture and someone who is mixed either with black can still have type 4 hair
So true exactly why I formulate my products for 4C hair and Type 4 hair but other hair type can use it too but it’s specifically for type 4C hair
4:18 am I the only one who hates how every time they show 4c texture it’s ALWAYS SHORT??? Like why couldn’t her hair be long and 4c like every one else in this picture? Or have the light skin 3a girl with short hair? Irritating
I felt the same honestly. Like black hair is so diverse but like most brands they play into the stereotypes of dark skin/ tighter hair doesn’t grow🙄
@@britttanyrose I have been waiting for your review!!! I come here for the honesty and realness 💜 but yes there’s so many 4c waist length girlies Rihanna could have put as advertisements… she could’ve even had you on the advertising…. Real goals for type 4 hair…. I’m just rambling lol
You are definitely not the only one! I’ve been noticing that happening even with videos/commercials for hair products: They will show white girls and/or light-skin Latino girls with long flowing hair, and then include a dark-skin girl with the tightest curl pattern and shortest hair (hair that is not even chin length). It’s infuriating! It perpetuates the notion that “black girls” can’t grow long hair - so untrue! My type4 hair is bra-strap length; surely hair-care scientists, stylist, and PR folks hired to find models for marketing can do at least as well as I can: They can style hair and find models that represent the diversity of brown-skin girls with long hair. If the product is effective - and that’s their job, to show it as effective- then they ought to show length-retention for *all complexions* of curly/coily/afro hair.
@@antoinettechevalier2453 exactly! Like, all we’re asking is for equality, diversity, and inclusivity. It’s not hard to find a bra length/waist length type 4 girlie online…. That’s what they are online for…….influencing. I hope more people buy Brittany’s products and other naturals because at least they know about hair and cares for the all type 4 types…..
@L.P.1001 I hate this common trend in advertising too. Even if they can't find an Indigenous Strandz type of long, they can still find type 4 black girls with longer hair.
I’m all into these celebrity hair line reviews knowing I’m never gonna spend $36 on shampoo lol
Same
Exactly. That’s a rip off

Absolutely
AGREED
This is why channels like yours are important for the type 4 hair community. Saves us money from purchasing products that rarely cater to our hair type.
I love how you don't care who put the product out, you gonna give a honest review. No Fluff!!I I Really appreciate that! Thanks
Some of these comments are absolutely ridiculous. If someone doesn’t like something then they don’t like it. Why is that so complicated for some people
Exactly cause there are products that my hair does work with that other love and vice versa… so much goes it to products working with your hair. Majority of times it’s application.
I love long form video reviews!!!! 🎉 thank you for taking your time to do this and also putting your hair on the line! For real!!

I hope that you continue reviewing products because there are people out here who are not obsessed with these celebrities and only care about do the products work. My celebrity is the lord and I will continue to give him the praise. Thanks you❤
The products are mediocre. You can tell the curly community isn’t really excited about them because people are barely talking about it. If the products were amazing they would be trending

I so appreciate your honesty in your review for fenty hair products. You were so raw, and your passion for 4c type hair girlies is so needed. We need a voice that is going to speak up for us. So thank you.
I love this line but I have a looser curl pattern and although we had different experiences using these products, I LOVE your review! Very fair and thorough. I hope Fenty runs your video back 100x and has products specifically for type 4 hair in their next launch.
the size first scared me because they looked small! but the richness of each product quickly changed my mind! loved your review, very thorough!! as usual 💕

Thank you for your honesty. I will not run and support any hair line just because a Black female celebrity made it or out their name on it. I support the underdog and long time Black women who have been putting great products for our hair from onset. There may be a product that a celebirty makes that is good, but we should never feel pressured to support them.
I’m a white boy with short light curls (so not the target group for this dedicated review), but I got this video recommended and gave it a watch and I have to say: I love you’re voice and the way you do your videos. Very calming and relaxing. I feel like I can learn from you and get a better feeling for people that do have a different hair texture. Love it. Instant subscribe. I'm so relieved to see another honest review because I posted mines too from working in a salon on my client and I was like what is this! ok so now I don't feel bad anymore 😂 thanks for your review!
it bothers me how the hair products we’ve been getting from bey and rih want to market their products as inclusive but then the products don’t work for anyone with a hair texture tighter than 3C, and you would think bc they’re so pro black women they would make a line specifically for black women to use, but if like 60% of you’re demographic that you’re specifically marketing to can’t even use them then what’s the point, there’s a reason why most black hair are lines market their products specifically for black women with tighter textures, like melanin hair, whitney doesn’t even have the budget bey and rih have yet was able to formulate products to work for 4C hair and are significantly cheaper, the doux, aunt Jackie’s, as i am, there’s really no excuse
So are you ignoring the plethora of 4 type ladies who love the products? I'm 4B and those shampoos plus protein treatments have replaced brands I'd been using for years.
@@lavinder114C Honey that's the keyword
@@albertamathurin7084 3C, actually. You said "tighter than 3C." Read yout comment again.
@@lavinder11 that means 4C type of hair that's the tightest is it not
@@albertamathurin7084 LOL. Okay, buddy.
I know there is disagreement with my opinion, but OMG your hair came out so full, rounded, defined and just overall beautiful after it fully dried. I know the product quality is not meeting your expectations, but I honestly think it’s absolutely gorgeous. I like it better compared to the other wash and gos from your older videos (all are beautiful turn outs), but this look is only my preference out of all. It looks just like the thick kinky-coily human hair wig I have, and I wish my hair naturally looked like this. You look like a beautiful doll! Thanks for the honest review as always 😊
I agreee. Sometimes we are too obessed with curl definition that is why the natural hair community gets labelled as toxic and also why looser hair patterns are more popular. We are just too obsessed.
Especially, after she stretched it. Her hair looked better in this video than most of the others she showed. Just my opinion.
@@valencia9981 It’s really good to know others recognize this too! The focus on super defined curls and coils makes a lot of sense on why she was disappointed about the outcome! I have very fine strands of 4C hair and my hair density is not the best. So I can only dream of achieving a super full kinky-coily outcome like this. I don’t care about curl/coil type anymore. It’s the health and thickness of the hair that makes our style outcomes beautiful! I notice that when type 4 girls have high density, thick luxurious locs, the texture is considered beautiful or even exotic. It’s us fine strand-low density girls that struggle and are limited on styling options, and we don’t receive the same recognition, love and support across the entire hair spectrum - especially low density-fine type 4 hair. An example: My mother has disdain for my hair texture (4C) and her (4a/3c) hair texture. However, if she sees a woman with super thick, voluminous 4C hair, she’s like “her hair is beautiful. She has ‘good hair’ or ‘that water and grease type hair’” and I’m just like, mom, it’s the same hair texture as mine, but just thicker strands and a higher density 🤦🏾♀️
@@jasminemercier1998 Even though I have more type 3 hair as they would describe it. I support by following and watching content of black hair creators, once their content is positive to me, but I have seen so many struggle with wash n go's. As i have watched a haircare professional on here say, in regards to black hair in particular, what we call wash n go's aren't because we have to do so much to get our hair defined, etc. Our wash n go's demand styling because we have to define our curls.
I made a comment that majority of 4c hair types wont get much def from these products because of the physiology of the hair, like Chinese or Japanese, they will have to many things to get curl definition.
Yaaasss!!! Saw other TH-camrs reviewing fenty hair care but I specifically waited for your review!! Your reviews are my fave!! ❤❤❤
Yay! Thank you!
I think the curl defining cream actually did a really good job. But I think the type 4 girls preference is to have our coils defined and weight down so it shows more of our length. But if you like less weight on your wash n goes it would be perfect!
One thing you're going to give is an equal and fair review, and I thank you for your honesty on these lines, no matter whose name is attached to it, especially when it isn't sponsored. Thanks, Britt❤
Of course!
Thank you for an honest review! Finally an honest review from a Type 4 girl. It's been very hard to find honest reviews for Fenty Hair because so many influencers want to be on her PR list. I just don't think this hair care brand is for Type 4C hair.
I almost tripped running here to watch this!!!!
same!
I held my breath waiting for this review!! Almost didn’t make it!😮💨
😂
Lol me too! ❤
literally RAN 😂😂❤
If it doesn’t work for you , it doesn’t. You are being honest and we appreciate it, especially when the products cost a bundle. Celebrity, doesn’t mean It’s great. There are too many great affordable products out there, so celebrity products need to be able to compete. I won’t buy something just because of the celebrity. Honey based products work best on my hair, and they’re affordable, so I wouldn’t waste my $. Each person needs to buy what works best for them. Garnier Fructis with hyalauronic acid bond repair probably works better for less.
Try Cecred. Honey is one of the main ingredients I think. Fenty hair will work on other ppl. That’s ok
@@coolvideos5836 thanks I will check it out when I have some$.For now, Shea Moisture, Camille Rose and Mielle are working for me. :)
First off, love your review. I purchased 4 of the products and i loved the shampoo too, the deep conditioner worked well for me, my hair was actually as soft as it was from the shampoo, yes the detangling from the conditioner was a struggle.. I thought it was just me.. however, after rinsing it was soft (yes, I am a 4c girlie) The come back kid and the home curl works well together, but i used for a twist out and not wash and go. The smell is definitely amazing. Since I only do twist outs, this is going to work for me. I have 4b/c hair with high porosity. I am not going to buy the other products, as I don’t think they will work for me at all.
I’m so glad that you did this so I do not have to waste my money! I love your honesty and your personality. Keep doing you ❤
Your light must bother folks darkness. I hate that ppl are mean in the comments and you have to speak on it you are so dope ❤
Girllll u just gained a sub! I love how honest you areee💗 AND I WILL COME FOR ANYONE DARING TO SAY ONE NEGATIVE THING ABOUT HER. Love u sis💗
I'm not in the target audience for any celebrity hair care line, but coming out with an all-inclusive line didn't make sense to me when Fenty practically spearheaded actual inclusivity in makeup. Having multiple lines would've made more sense.
Thank you Brittany 😊 we love Love LOVE your transparency on these reviews 👏🏽
One thing about Ri-Ri though- when we speak loud enough she will make adjustments. Like the skincare- people wanted unscented and she came through. So maybe she’ll come back with a line just for us.
That’s what I was thinking!! I wouldn’t be surprised if she does a re-release. She did release this shortly after her 2nd was born. Having 2 under 2 running an empire 🤔 I’d like her to remarket and show the 3C+ girls some respect and bring that lil edge brush down to $8-10 😂
😂 rihanna hair is mess
It's not like she's creating or even using these products herself, she's just putting her name on it. If it's not specifically for Black hair I'm not buying it. I just don't think it's possible to make a product that works for every hair type. With the exception of clarifying shampoo and most conditioners. Clarifying shampoo is supposed to strip product out of your hair, and any conditioner that has alot of slip works great for me.
Tbh for a type 4 girlie like myself that does not use gel, I like what it’s doing to your hair. 99% of the time it’s technique. That’s all ima say about this review. Keep up the good work 👏🏾
I totally get the confusion! I’ve tried so many hair products, including the Fenty hair line, and was left unimpressed. I went back to my trusty drugstore products, which work better and are way cheaper. Plus, adding biotin drops from nutraharmony to my routine has been a game-changer. After struggling with thin hair for years, my hair is now thicker and healthier. Sometimes, the best solutions are the simplest and most affordable ones. Thank you for the honest review💓
I love and appreciate your honesty! I remember when I first went natural 10 yrs ago natural hair influencers would LIEEEE because they were getting paid. Rave about the product and NEVER use it again in their future videos. Like if you loved it that much why isn’t it a staple in your hair care. I’m not buying nothing I found what works and I’m happy.
Sis the moment I saw you using the deep conditioner… I said it’s not working, you weren’t being dramatic and I’m learning my hair more and more and your reviews definitely matter. I can’t wait to see the heat protector review 😊
Well, it's about time...I've been looking everyday for this review...The TRUTH is SOOO refreshing. Thank You!!!!
Gotta say it’s true! Your review is the only review that matters! 😂
I don’t even have to as much of a curl pattern as you do so I know everything would not work for me except the shampoo. Britt thanks for taking one for the team ❤
I left the deep conditioner in for 30 min with a thermal cap.. loved the result.. it’s a very balancing deep conditioner.. it strengthened but my hair still came out soft.. wonder why Fenty didn’t provide a timeframe/ better instructions..
Right that confused me as well. But I get ALOT of backlash if I don’t follow the instructions to a tea😂 Honestly with the way my hair felt I doubt heat would have done a lot
A note on the clinical trial. The sample size (30 ppl) is pretty standard; what isn’t standard was the duration of the this trail, which was one week. Typically, they last for 30 days. So because of that. I’m skeptical on the “reparative” claims 😬
Nonetheless I try something from this line, it will not be the stylers. I’m in the minority that feels that the line was rushed, because LVMH is trying to bust Fenty beauty out of its current plateau. Sales are stable but not overtaking it’s competitors like many assume. And these conglomerates are obsessed with ‘growth’. Nonetheless great review and good luck with the comments 🙂
I just wanted to say I love your product reviews. You are my fav because you are a real natural hair girlie! You took the time to learn about your hair and how it works. That sets you apart from many others. It’s nice to get a review from someone who is credible for once.
i love your video you convinced me to belive in the lord so i thank you
That is amazing!!!
@@britttanyrose I was waching your pattern review again when i saw your resonse.
I love honest reviews. I feel like there are alot of TH-camrs out there giving fake reviews cause the brand of the item is “Fenty” and then using regular people go rush to buy it and are disappointed
I think you should have used more water so that the conditioner can spread more. Water helps the conditioner to collapse the hair while using your brush. This is just my experience. It seemed like the conditioner was working fine while you detangled without putting more water on your hair. Again, water helps conditioner become frothy and slippery so your brush or comb can go through the hair better. Especially for tightly curly hair. Also, when your use a brush, you have to make sure yiur are brushing all parts of the section you're working on. If you don't, you will have puffy roots.
I appreciate the tips, but just wanna emphasize that all of this isn’t needed if the products work. I recommend looking at my reviews playlist and you’ll see that. None of those things are necessary for the products that will actually work for type 4 hair. There isn’t a special trick or tip to make a product work if it works. Also if that was needed, it would’ve been in the instructions.
@ brittneyrose, you don't need to respond to every comment. Everyone has an opinion. You gave your review. If they don't agree, then ok. It's still your thoughts on the product. You don't need to clarify anything. W3 came for your review and thoughts. You did an awesome job. 😅
So people can comment in MY comment section but I can’t respond? You good sis?
Thank you for speaking the truth. I'm 4C kinky/ coily, so I've saved money.
Right. Because some of these girls praising the products and their final product is clearly dry looking and dull.

You might not wanna hear this but this wash and go looks gorgeous! It just looks more rounded and fluffy. It looks like it won’t last long though. Great review overall! ❤
Agreed!!! It looked so much fresher and like a natural wash & go. Obviously we can’t speak to how it felt. We can also respect she prefers a more defined looked.

This is constructive criticism, the fenty team should look at this and take note
I don’t even have loose natural hair lol and I still watch your reviews cause I know you’re not about to lie about anythingggg😂 the disappointment was palpable. Also, considering the fact that black women with type 4 hair created the natural hair movement creating lines marketed to natural hair and then just ignoring us is WILD.
Ok maybe add some water while applying the deep conditioner. This conditioner does not have silicone it activates with a lot of water, this is why you did not get the slip you were looking for. I recommend that you watch the Anthony Dickey videos. 😊

Honestly, I think your hair looks A LOT better with the cream than your regular wash and gos. There's something about the curls being so stretched out that makes them look too stringy IMO.
the thing is though her hair may look okay now but on day 3 her hair is going to look so old, it’s supposed to to look stringy and clumped so that it lasts. her hair looks like a day 5 wash n go not day 1

6 out 10 is very generous. Your review is greatly appreciated.
Oh no!!!! I know exactly how you feel and this happens when the products don't work. This is what happens to my hair when products don't work. People don't realize that the shampoo has limited impact on the style of the hair. It is the conditioner and the styling products that DETERMINE how the hair turns out.
I disagree. Without a good shampoo, you don't have a good foundation for proper hairstyles
I'll wait until there's a travel size to try. Pattern has travel sizes, and Cecred now has travel sizes at lower costs. This is what I purchase to try new expensive products before investing.
I understand about the deep conditioner, I know it didn't say leave on or add heat. The other reviews I watch saw vast improvement with just 10 mins of heat...ijs...🤷🏿♀️
I definitely wanted to leave it in but people come for me so heavy if I don’t follow directions 🤷🏾♀️. But I also know that deep conditioners should start adding moisture the second the are applied so I doubt heat would have made a huge difference
Agreed, your hair does not look its best (more a mess)! I’ve seen how pretty your hair is with products that work. This is NOT it! Don’t let anyone make you feel bad, you know your hair! Side note: you’re still as pretty as ever tho 🥰

Love this review! ❤ I needed someone to give me details because no product works for everyone so I was side eyeing the marketing. Just one thing Pattern didn’t come out with the different products for different hair textures until after they launched. So I’m hoping fenty will grow like Pattern did over the years to have something for different textures or patterns.
suggestion, while detangling try to adding water to the conditioner till it kinda foams up i feel like this helps me personally with better slip with any product
My hair was actually soaking wet😂
Your Brittany! Hair Products sets the tone different for all types, because haircare techniques are different for everyone!
One question, can these brands stop giving us conditioners and gels that are under 12oz especially when that stuff is super expensive? Like I wash my hair once a week and I can't even get a month's worth out of the product? How is that considered ethical?
Ugh your hair is just so beautiful 😩
Can you please leave the scripture up a little longer ❤
That was very lovely 😍
I do 8 seconds but I’ll definitely consider doing it longer!
Amen!!! Support our christian gal!!
@@britttanyrose love your products & reviews thank you blessings 🙏🏽
I’m Mexican and this did not work for me at all. My son is black and Mexican and I’ve seen better products works for both him and I. I got the hydration one, and it was not it. Amika products work well for us. I’m sorry RiRI 😢
I wish they would make separate deep conditioners and conditioners and the reason I say this is because when they make their products for ALL TYPES it always leave the 4C girls with the shorter end of the stick due to not have enough moisture in the product. Just make a deep conditioner for 1A-3C and make separate conditioner and deep conditioner just for type four 4 hair.
I think Fenty will come out with a formula for the more textured haired people.
Thank you for your review, I thought your review was very fair for someone that has type 4 hair and is always trying to find the best products that will not dry my hair out more.
I noticed that you talked for a while before putting on the deep conditioner which may have made your hair dry-to-damp instead of wet by the time you applied it, I would’ve loved to see you put some water to see if it would activate the deep conditioner, it may had made a difference on detangling, and to wash it off immediately?🤔 even if the product doesn’t indicate, it’s known that a deep conditioner has to be left for a while to work better; and ugh, I’m sorry the wash-n-go was just not it, I also had high expectations; thank you for your time and effort ❤
I don’t think you were being dramatic but I will say that Rihanna did say that it’s a line for everyone in that everyone will find something they love. Very curious to see how the cream will work as a twisting cream and the gel for a wash and go on tight type 4 hair.
Was an interesting watch I was waiting to see you review this.
Melanin hair care by Whitney still holds the crown for me .. all these fancy line coming out just about the packaging and a marketing campaign and no real thought on how ingredients truly work for black girls of all hair type .. these brands are so cash grabbing once the hype wears off nobody cares.
Yes you are my go to person because I feel like you are honest please stay that way
Honesty is where it's at Hon. Great review!👍🏽💯
