Yeah I dislike the take of WaW in the video. "No story = bad game" it HAD a story. On the Russian side. The American side was just a generic campaign but they added so much special gameplay to make up for it. The Russians showed the struggles of the Russian army the atrocities they had to suffer but then to show their bloodlust grow and grow over time as they march to Germany and do the same things they hated the Germans for doing it had a story he just seemed to completely overlook it. Plus gameplay was really good up there with Black Ops 1 and one of my personal favorites Infinite War.

Gonna be honest, WaW has a great story, not based on characters, they are vessels to show tides turning, taking revenge, how Reznov gets more and more bloodthirsty throughout. Yeah the American campaign can be said to be another war story
@@hiphip4808 He's really good in BO1 but he's just as awesome as WaW and it adds some backstory to Reznov but most of the added story from WaW is for Dimitri (the guy you play in WaW on the Russian side)
@@Quirked_Up_Cowboy I would say both are equally as important, reznov’s story is locked while Dimitri’s isn’t, so the Reznov backstory is more rock solid then Dimitri’s.
To be honest , I kinda got offended by him saying world at war was the second worst CoD. It's my favourite CoD ever and my dad's favourite as well so yeah.
He was treating WaW like a movie, when it should be looked at like a documentary. To be honest, Dimitri Patrenko has to have one of the most tragic stories in COD.

I'm gonna be real Shepard more Evil then Makorov he helped set up America, got it invaded then sent TF 141 to clean up the evidence if he didn't kill Ghost or Roach he may have gotten away with it. May have. Shepard Started WW3 Makorov was just a Pawn

Waw is a hidden gem, you got no idea, to everyone who reads this, if you wanna immerse yourself to a ww2 game, pick this, the best ww2 game ever in my opinion, also top tier cod game
28:11 In my opinion Adler's one of my favorite characters in the campaign for this reason since it gives that feeling to always watch your back even when he tries to act like your friend. The betrayal at the end left me stunned since I wasn't expecting since he was trying to side with you while the other characters, like Hudson didn't particularly side with you, which makes it a hundred times more interesting than just talking to Frank Woods or solving some complex Russian puzzle. At in all he's like the Phoenix Drop High Ein of the campaign, really good character, but I think knowing about some stuff he did in Vietnam could have been a nice touch though. Also I disagree with Frank Woods and Mason being the best they're like below Adler and maybe Lazar (since he is also a pretty cool character who sort has little backstory with the killing Madam Mafra thing)
I felt like Alder can easily be one of those iconic characters within the Call of Duty franchise that fans would reminisce about in the future. After BO2, don't think any new character (in the campaign side) became popularized within the community, besides maybe BO3's John Taylor due to memes and AW's Jonathan Irons because of Kevin Spacey. Fans remember Soap, Price, Woods, Mason, but do they remember the names of the main squad members from COD WWII for example? I don't think so.
I don’t agree with the rating for waw honestly it wasn’t a step back because if you think about it it was truly the first black ops which sounds weird but it had zombies,it had Reznov and a overall good campaign with a lot of action
Yeah and it also truly showed the horrors of ww2 done on the eastern and pacific fronts with soviets relentless killing even surrendered Germans with no mercy and Japanese doing their kamikaze attacks which does lead up to the first call of duty game which only slightly two endings in that you can choose to save either robuck or the guy that looks like Dempsey from zombies from kamikaze sucide bombers
Makarov is definitely my favorite CoD villain just because of how genius he was. Also very memorable in MW3 for me at least was the scene where Makarov kidnaps the Russian president. But for me 1 is MW2 followed by Black Ops.
World at war was not a 6/10 for storyline 😂 so much fun and engaging storylines due to how attached you grew to each characters squad. Not to mention you could have different cutscene dialogue based on your decisions as the Russian character, so while there was a lack of our characters interacting with others in voice lines our actions decided how certain characters viewed us which was revolutionary
and dont forget, it didnt fall into the boring faction conflicts like nazi germans and americans, in waw there was americans fighting the japanese and you play as the red army fighting the germans
the argument for it being weaker COD campaigns after MW was just too funny. There is like 90% of the people playing COD that can't remember the character u playing in every COD game. COD is just designed for the playing character to be completely anonymous. They of course change it in the newer games with more focus, but i still cant name any. I also think it's weird to only have the score being determined by the story, given that COD isn't known for good stories. I would say that except for BO1, all campaigns i have played is mediocre or below. In general if we include the whole package, i would say the newer titles are better simply because of all the improvements throughout the years. The older COD's are basically just cover and shoot simulator (if you play it on higher difficulty). I also don't understand the praise for WW2, it's just american propaganda (but he seem american, so it's understandable). WW2 story is shite, i give it 1/10 and 0/10 if not from the outstanding prologue mission.
Don't forget even actman rated Waw a masterpiece and I totally agree with everything he said in his review Waw is yes another retelling of ww2 but you can't deny that there's is no other ww2 game like Waw and you know it,cod ww2 has some good elements but it pales compared to Waw that's has been released a decade before ww2.
I disagree with Infinite Warfare. I find it a cool story. Ethan and Reyes are great characters. Reyes is a veteran unlike any characters you play as. And he wants all of his men to come home safe. And the great part about it is that there is no time skip. You are there for everything. The artwork is great, space battle is epic, and the final mission is perfect. It has some wasted potential for gameplay. They should give players options to do a mission loud or stealth. Or you can infiltrate a base on your own. In my opinion, the game is a 8/10.
Yea i disagree too, he did infinite warfare so dirty infact its one of my fav campaigns cuz of how cool some of the missions are and how unique it is, characters coulda had more depth and there shoulda been more selection of missions across the solar system instead of just “lets bored this ship get stuff and go” or “attack skeltor with Jackal” that being said i loved ever mission 8/10
I feel like you should make a character like Adler who is a complete badass not have a backstory because their backstory is the fact that they are a badass
What I miss about the first 6 call of duties or so, is being a lesser soldier part of a giant force. It’s cool not being this super secret special ops dude every once in a while. Like being a marine or army ranger patrolling the Middle East, or storming the beaches in Normandy
Have a feeling you went into IW with the negative bias most people had bc the campaign had one of the most emotional stories out of any cod. Would recommend you play it again bc i was like you, only played it once. Recently i replayed it and fell in love with it so much that i replayed it again on specialist difficulty and even attempted the YOLO difficulty
And ghosts was so underrated when ghosts came out I thought it was one of my favorites too but they needed to make a second one for me ghosts is at least 7.5
Iw is actually very good. The characters are likeable and sometimes even funny. You play as an officer instead of your typical Sergeant or Private First Class. The story follows how much Reyes cares about his men and his motivation to get his men home alive. While some other people would sacrifice their men to finish the mission. And the more his squad dies, the higher Reyes’ motivation as a leader is. As for gameplay, it isn’t just your typical ground missions. You have zero-g missions where you infiltrate a ship without gravity and you have jackal missions where you destroy some SDF assets. You probably just hate it because it’s unique and hasn’t been done before.
Waw really isnt that special i dont know how much nostalagia is here to make you love it but its a pretty forgettable story for the most part. The only good parts were a few scenes with reznov
@@AnyThingWorx literally none of those characters are nearly as memorable as most mw game characters, bo characters or even ghosts characters. Hot take, but masons “death” had me heart wrenching and almost tearing up more than soaps, that’s cause Alex mason is my favorite CoD character of all time
Your character in WaW does matter though. In Black Ops 1 the WW2 flashback mission has Reznov and Dimitri (The guy you play as in WaW) end up getting betrayed by Dragovich. Dimitri is killed and Reznov wants revenge. He programs Mason to kill Dragobich, Kravchenko, and Steiner while he's in Vortuka to get revenge for Dimitri's death.
Im not gonna judge but this man actually gave BO4 “campaign” a 4/10 and Infinite Warfare a 1.5/10. Infinite Warfare litterally had the most diverse set of missions.
And Black Tuesday, Return to Sender, Blood Brothers, Dust to Dust, Down the Rabbit hole, Hunter killer and Iron Lady. Those we're the most memorable for me
Dust to Dust and Blood Brothers were just so sad for me to play that after I did I have never played them ever again. I mean I don’t like to revisit the scene with Soap‘s death and Yuri‘s death
Or make another ghosts game and improve the mp (even though it was good imo) and continue the story after Logan was dragged away by Rorke but it might not go well because people complain so much about the mp so people forgot that the story was great
@@pat9043 MW2 is worse than MW3 but people think it's good bc of the roast sessions but MW2 had broken guns, game mechanics were 4/10 but it's people like to hang on to the Nostalgia that MW2 had
It’s not the last mission in BO2 in the present day that matters. There’s so much set up. And your choices matter. Achilles Veil being the most important for what happens in Odysseus.
To add on I feel like with Bell being brainwashed in Cold War it was better for him to not know backstory or as much the other characters. He was definitely on a need to know basis.
His analysis for BO2 was very bad. Really felt like he only played the campaign once and didn’t pay attention to the actual decisions that he needed to make, then looked up what the “Canon” ending was.

Putting WW2 above World At War is crazy…
11:23 Whatever you say , Shepard was not more evil than Makarov...He was just a patriot with very bad and cruel mindset as he wanted the USA to beat the asses of Russians...
Yes but he wanted all the fame and the glory for doing it that’s why when task force 141 did their job he cut loose ends and disavowed them mainly so that they don’t reveal the information that it was him sending in Allen undercover to work with Makarov and fall into Makarov’s trap

I still hate Adler. This campaign made me care about bell and Adler is just being a sick the entire time. I still think he is a decent character tho.
Black ops 3 has the most important scene. “Train go boom”

Also reznov and dimitri are technically in black ops 1? So I don’t see how they are not engaging
Don't take Inkslasher seriously. He legit rated COD WW2 an 8/10. His reviews are half-assed
and dont forget, it didnt fall into the boring faction conflicts like nazi germans and americans, in waw there was americans fighting the japanese and you play as the red army fighting the germans
the argument for it being weaker COD campaigns after MW was just too funny.

You have zero-g missions where you infiltrate a ship without gravity and you have jackal missions where you destroy some SDF assets.

and also how reznov brainwashed mason to do all of that
@@hhshsksks9593 at least mw1,2,3 and 2019 also a free add on for 2019 modern warfare has a story
@@ashjarman-mogford3881 what?
i personally think MW3 had a great campaign Sandman and his crew staying back and letting you rescue the president without them was really memorable Sandman was one of my favorite characters ever
Soap's death, Yuri's death, Kamarov's death, Snadman's death, Makarov's death........ "no memorable missions" when literally everyone remembers Soap dying and Price going mad beating up Yuri....
Love your vids man
Who else is pissed about the og voice actors for Mason and Woods not coming back?
it's a reboot they had to change the cast
like mw 2019
@@peter-josephlamusitele6296 it’s a sequel to bo1, not a reboot
I am a good dam onion mason
I don't even care about black ops
who cares characters stay the same and the vc's don't it doesn't effect the story outside of some voice lines
Haven’t you noticed that soap gets messed up real bad at the end of every game
Talking about Ranking every Call of Duty campaign from worst to best
*Wears BO4 shirt*
I didn’t like BO3s campaign but had alright mp BO4 I didn’t even get lol
its in the thumbnail
Can we appreciate that this man put BO4 on the thumbnail despite it not having a campaign, over BO3?
Dude you are smoking crack for giving ghost campaign less than a 8 out of 10.
@Deytan Ristine if they fix the movement and the multiplayer they can easily make an amazing sequel
That game shows a good relationship between the walkers.
It wasn’t a 8 I’d give it a 7
Maybe 6.5
