I love that other countries do learner licenses. It'd probably save the lives of some folks in the US... you can buy a 200hlp 1000cc bike here, day 1, and I think its a tad ludicrous.
OneColektiv - have fun with it now and even more when derestricted lol. shift dynamics do a well priced one, and if your a member of triple riders Aus Facebook page you get another 10% off current discount price 👍 www.shiftdynamics.com.au/store/p21/triumphcontroll.html
I have a 765 practically identical to yours (same model and color), with the same accessories. In fact, I always took your tips when installing these accessories. However, I still don't have the levers and I'm thinking about getting them. Do you think it's still worth it? They are quite expensive here in Brazil, so I would like to know if the change is just aesthetic or has some better functionality. Thanks for the videos!
That's awesome, glad the videos are helping out. Personally I love the levers. They do feel nicer and they are more adjustable than stock ones. They also do look much better. I do think they are worth it, but if you're worried about price, you could probably get a non triumph branded after market equivalent for less money. But I've looked at quite a few different ones, and none of them seem to suit the bike as well as the triumph ones. So It's just personal preference.
@@onecolektiv cheers mate, Looking forward to it, assumed that you've past your Lams time and got ur open licence, wondering if it's worth doing this or it's better to trade in the bike for a triple R or RS with no legal implications 🤔
I'm still on my lams. The only way you can tell it's been derestricted is with a dyno run. So even if you do get pulled over, they won't know. As for what bike, it depends on what power and handling you want. Mine made 83hp but an R makes 115hp. Also with the R you get better brakes and a better instrument cluster. With the RS you also get better suspension. So it really depends what you want. But if you're on lams for a while longer, the deresriction at least give you a decent power bump.
@@onecolektiv all makes sense, I'm on Lams too, still on Ninja 400, there is no stock availability on this bike here in WA, the soonest I can get one is in 6months 🤦 I believe even the restricted version of it is going to be a big step up for me due to its much higher torque and it's handling etc, I see how it feels and will consider the derestriction later down the track, good to know it's easily doable and reckon must be reversible tooso easy to remap to Lams again if U wish to sell.
Unfortunately I probably won't be doing it. I went to get the de-restricting kit but Triumph decided that they would only sell that kit in the U.K. So i can't get my hands on it.
Hey man , I’m looking at both the ducati & this triumph . Can you please tell me what was the reason you chose triumph over ducati ? Which is a better model in terms of quality and resale value ? Thanks man .
I'm not sure about the ducati, but the reason I chose the triumph is because; I like the looks better, and it's liquid cooled not air cooled like the ducati. That's pretty much it.
Hi, Thanks for the detailed review. I (experienced rider) and my wife (just finished pre learner course) are in market for a LAMS bike. Don't want to go 300 cc or pre owned path as we know we will keep our first bike for long and should be bit more than just a learning machine, Triumph street triple s seems to fit the bill. I understand when you say street triple could be little bit too much for a completely new rider, mainly because of punchy throttle response. Due you think new riders can take advantage of Rain mode which dial downs the throttle and can tame the beast little bit, making it more "Learner friendly". What's your take on it? Cheers - Abhishek
That's actually a decent idea. It doesn't make a whole lot of difference but it is noticeable. As long as you take it easy on your first few rides, you'll get used to it soon enough. Otherwise, if you want something a little cheaper but still in the same ball park. Look at the Honda CB650R or Yamaha MT07. Both of those bikes are excellent and a bit cheaper than the triumph. But as I said in the review. The triumph will always be that little bit better. It's just up to you if you want to spend the extra cash.
@@onecolektiv It always comes down to money but you are right when you say it is little bit better. They hold value and in my opinion is a "Keeper". Thanks for your input mate, Appreciate it.

Love my 2017 in Phantom Black.....such a gorgeous bike, quick shifter turns up tomorrow too 😍
Great video mate, well done 👍
Thanks mate. I can't wait to get my quickshifter, but I decided that can wait till its de-restricted.

Nice review, couldn't find the derestriction video, have u done it?
Nah I haven't done it yet. I will probably do it in the coming weeks.

The process of derestricting takes about 5 minutes and can be revered in the same amount of time.
I would really like to see this bike going up to 95 hp from 47 please do more videos on this bike 👍🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

OneColektiv are they selling it just in the UK and non of the other countries ?
That's what I got told by the Triumph dealer.
@@onecolektiv that’s not entirely true. You can get them unrestricted in Spain
I'm just going by what Triumph told me.
Just got this Nike as my first A2 bike.
Got a great deal, less than 6000€ And only 800km so very very happy with it
Good work mate. Always a good idea to buy a motorcycle with a couple kms on it. Can save thousands.
Awesome video bro, I didn’t thi k you could derestrict this model?
You can but it's a lot of hassle. Not as easy as I thought when I made this video.

Yes it does. Sorry, I didn't realise till after I finished the video, that I forgot to mention that.
hey mate how tall are you?.. in regards to feeling cramped on the bike

Just can't seem to take a liking to those headlights. All I see, is a praying mantis. Can't get it out of my head.
I was like that at first too. They grew on me though.
