Can we change the voices i dont like the ai bot voice its like using 90s phone in 2024 it just gives an old feel. CC is not feature rich like yours but if i could get a more natural voice i would recommend to anyone is this possible,
Just subscribed and ran a few races before deciding I want to change spotter voices. However, there’s ZERO information anywhere on how to do something that should be very quick and simple. When you can’t get the easy things right, it speaks volumes about how well thought out the overall program is. It’s a shame, because the concept has potential. But, if you’re charging a premium for an app or service, it needs to be perfect.
Seriously. I can't live without it, either. I'm hopeful that DRE can start winning mindshare with sim racers at some point soon. It's not like Egil is bad at marketing. He's doing all of the right things, Discord, Reddit, TH-cam, etc. I feel like guys see people they trust use Crew Chief and they just follow suit. I used CC at first until I saw DRE offer better voice support and I never looked back. In the meantime, I'll be using the shite out of DRE and enjoying AI James's soothing voice telling me how far behind the leader I am...
I will definitely give DRE a shot. But not for the reasons you might think. So far, every other overlay I've tried (several of the most common) produces micro stutters to the point of being unplayable. I've not been able to figure out why. I've got a Ryzen 5800X with a 3080. I feel like this should run any overlays reasonably well. Hoping this one will run okay without causing the micro stutters.
It does take GWC into account yes. You can test race with AI and GWC and see how it works for you. If something's not working, let me know on the DRE Discord
I disagree, the overall value proposition of DRE was already high and this amplifies it. If you support the devs then the future of all these apps will be better.

Yep, with DRE you may dive deep but ultimately, DRE will tell you if something's important to know. Sit back, race and race it smarter 💡

I just got home and downloaded it, and realized that... I use Crew Chief now (as do the majority of people). But I'll definitely give this one a try.
People can like what they like but DRE is hands down the best for Iracing the information it gives you per lap is crazy just in itself.
For some reason I thought this was a Dr. Dre spotter voice...

Ill try it again. The first time i couldnt get used to the voices. I felt more like i was walking thru an airport than racing a car.

Usually it's due to too high mic input gain in Windows Sound, or too high Minimum Confidence levels in DRE

it's not the best spotter lol .. its talking to much and all these features are already in free overlays and payed overlays like racelabs.
