It's just the one clip, but that's understandable. And of course there's the fact that Rarity was using Applejack as a chair, and the hardcore FlutterDash shipping before that.
Also, when Starlight was going to have a "chat" with the ponies who insulted Rarity, she sounded like she was gonna murder them. Same thing with that one pony who insulted Fluttershy.
but the fillies bugging rainbow specifically mentioned when she helped daring do, so not only would everyone know she's real, but then people would start to ask questions about how A.K Yearling can record these, now, historical events in such perfect detail
Not to mention that the journal originally belonged to Celestia and Luna. So not only did the Mane 6 deface an important historical artifact by mistreating it (rotten apples etc) but they published stuff about the princesses without their permission.
About Toolaroola and Coconut Cream... they started life as G3 ponies, in toy only format. Then Toolaroola joined the G3.5 animated characters, which THIS version of Toolaroola is based off of. Their colors are still based off of the fun color schemes of the G3 TOYS, and is a massive nod from Hasbro to we G3 toy fans (the G3 cartoons were aaaaweful, but the original toys were well designed and made).
>starlight is a carbon copy of sunset For someone who spends so much time looking at the show for little things, you sure lack in the analysis part. Starlight is realistic, direct and socially inept. Sunset is realistic too, but tends to keep bad comments to herself and is way better at socializing. Starlight is also more willing to fuck up, while sunset is much more afraid of failure. Starlight is a non-believer, her "equality" mentality is still there, and that shows on the fact that she doesn't worship Twilight, or the princesses, or that she doesn't even fear or think much about Discord, while Sunset obviously worships both Twilight and the princesses and would be very nervous around Discord. And probably the most important part, they have different approaches at friendship. While Sunset actively tries to be friends with the people surrounding her, even if she's a little nervous about her past, Starlight is fine with what she has and when a new possible friend appears, she tends to be very self-conscious about her past, way more than sunset. That's why she really gets along better with redeemed villains like her. Actually, one of my favourite scenes in the whole show is in the last "magic" EqG special, where Starlight and Sunset had a good conversation. There's a great example of how they are not the same at all. And just to be clear, i love them both. I'm just so tired of people saying that Starlight is just a copy of Sunset when that's objectively wrong. "Oh but she's a redeemed villain that happens to be a counterpart to twlight and is also kind of a part of the main cast". Yeah, i get it, they have similarities. But Sunset is the good succesor that probably will end up as companion while Starlight is the one that's probably going to surpass twilight and become something on the likes of Starswirl the Bearded. Just that. I tend to rant when people shit on glimglam for no reason.
I think that was the part that was more directed to oc creation. Though why they chose to do the applejack family and not something like ocxcanon is beyond me. XD i'd love to see them react to being shipped.
I just got done watching the other everything wrong withs he made, and when I watched this episode! I was excited to see how the fandom will react and to see what the everything wrong with video would turn out.
I liked how the fandom was attacked in this episode, while yeah I may have problems with how they seem to keep learning the same lesson every 5 episodes but I think more into the politics of MLP. For example, how come we haven't heard of at least some ponies trying to overthrow the monarchy to replace it with a democracy?
Eric Hunsaker Why? From what we've seen Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Twilight are fair rulers. We took down monarchies because some rulers were assholes but in the show they princesses are probably the best and uncorrupt monarchs I've seen in a show so why would the ponies want to overthrow them?
Sunset Shimmer goes through the portal, turns into Sunset Satan and burns them. The next episode will start out normal, as if none if this ever happened.
Keep in mind this is a episode aimed at us the fandom, how the writers feel that they need to please us, they aimed at people who will collect anything mlp, as for the rarity parts of the episode i think that the general idea is that she is not liked as much as the others mane six, and the writers have seen this but probably won't change it much because there is nothing that really needs to be changed, I think a lot of this episode is to say that they get so may suggestion on how the show could be better, as for the lessons they still have to appeal to a younger audience and children need to be shown these sorts of thing repeatedly so they stick, but i also could be talking out my a** here does anyone agree with me on the episode.

It's funny for me to read how so many people say it's a great episode because the writers wrapped up the whole fandom in it. I think they are actually diminishing the meaning by limiting it to the fandom. Okay, I'm not active in the fandom so probably that is the reason why I haven't thought about it in the first place, but I found the episode awesome because, in my opinion, it showed the effects of social networking and, even older, going public with anything dear to you - a book, a painting - any art you've done - and then seeing people get their kicks out of criticising you, interpreting your meaning and thinking they know you. This happens on the internet every day and most kids nowadays grow up with this, and I guess before the internet and social networks, it happened to any author of a book (and other artists). So many people seem to think that you publish something, even something as small as a comment on social networks, for them to critisize instead of for them to just enjoy and end up emotionally abusing the author, even blaming them for being self-righteous, attention-seeking or showing off while maybe the author even had to find a lot of courage first to voice his opinions or share his art. If this episode wouldn't rely too much on people already knowing the ponies' characters, I would even recommend this episode for classrooms.
I like Spike! (Perfect slogan if the little dragon ever runs for President!) 2:40 - Not that I'm any expert, but it looks like Arabic writing to me. 5:03 - Brrr! I'm not sure that was funny, Moliminous! My spine is still prickling!
The biggest problem with the journal is that the misunderstandings the ponies had would've been fixed if there was a page at the beginning that explains that the books is based off of real events and lessons learned by the writers.
I don't know why people say Starlight is the Sunset copy. Both are different steps to Twilight. Twilight forgave Sunset with the condition she learned about human world with the human5 , besides recover confidence. Starlight redemption was because Twilight couldn't defeat and words were the only weapon to calm her. Starlight was ready for any punishment, But Twilight say, please be my student because you are very dangerous yet, but with friendship you will a good pony for everyone.
I absolutely hated the F&M episode for these reasons: I see that it was supposed to be A commentary-type of episode, but it failed terribly at it. First of all, I noticed the journal was written to show the events that occurred during Season 4 to Season 5 & Not before or after. Many of the arguments The Idiotic & Heartless Ponies made about the mane six during the episode don't really apply anymore despite the show's faults. I can see why some people didn't like Rarity, but I don't think she was very hated during that time. The guy talking about how Twilight would've been more interesting if she stayed in Canterlot makes no sense since the journal starts after Twilight became an Alicorn, which invalidates the "Twilight was better before she got wings" argument. Now of course, Some fans did complain that Fluttershy learned the same lesson over again, but before the episode was made, I'm pretty sure the writers fixed the problem. The facts I just stated makes how Ponyville treated the mane 6 in the episode not only immature, petty and cruel but mostly confusing now that I think about it. I do recall that The writers recognized the problem with Fluttershy so they made her more aggressive. That'd be like if season 4 had an episode calling out Twilight giving out every lesson and it would be an outdated type of episode, but it would become a serious problem that the writers themselves would start to recognize and get fixed. Second of all, there are times when the arguments are just plain cruel, wrong & downright stupid. This mostly just applies to Rarity's backlash. The only reason given is that Rarity apparently stated that she thinks she did all the work in Simple Ways when that's not true. She said she put in a lot of work and that it was the hardest thing she'd ever done, but she didn't say she did all the work. The only other argument is that they don't think Rarity has learned any of her lessons. First of all, How would they know? Second of all, They could say that for any of the mane six. It honestly makes me think the writers couldn't think of a good reason for things to go wrong for Rarity so they just made stuff up. Thirdly, the friendship journal has a different purpose than the TV show. I get that The journal was supposed to be a metaphor for the show itself, but it just doesn't work because the purpose of the journal is sole as an educational tool while the TV show is also to entertain. All of the talks about the mane six like characters don't work because the journal is not entertainment. Any criticisms against the mane six made from the book are automatically a cruel jerk because the journal only documents the lessons made at the end of each episode. The journal does not set out of making characters and tell stories. It's autobiographical and is made to share lessons. The TV show, on the other hand, is fiction. It does set out to tell stories and create characters. A fair comparison for the journal would be if the TV show was just the friendship lessons from seasons 4-5. Not the rest of the episodes. Just the lessons. If that was true, this episode shouldn't have been made because there'd be no fan criticism to base it on. You can't criticize something like that unless it gives a rancid moral. But that's not one of the criticisms that the episode goes for. Only the stuff that makes no sense in-universe. So to me As a commentary on the fanbase, it came across as insulting and just terrible. When Ponyville argued that the mane six aren't real characters, It doesn't work when complaining about the criticisms of this show. It brings up arguments that make no sense in the show's universe and expects the audience to take the episode seriously when it takes the arguments down. By the end, the episode gives such little of a shit about justifying these arguments in-universe that they are literally using words like "character". Honestly, if the writers had such a big problem with the fans about the criticisms of the show, they should've sent out a tweet talking about it or something like that and start to accept Some criticisms from the fanbase and write better episodes for MLP to educate Kids and adults about relationships, friendship and stuff like that. Another reason why I hated the episode One Bit because The way Ponyville acted was Just awful. Another reason why I found the Fame & Misfortune episode to be absolutely awful because Not only was it horribly written, it also made Ponyville, The LITERAL Hometown The Mane 6 protected since the beginning of the show, into complete Idiotic and heartless morons. The way Ponyville treated The Mane 6 after what they've done to protect Equestria it came across to me as petty and incredibly immature, which are the two traits that describe the writers for making this episode. I'm not saying the show's fandom was the sole reason for the episode being created but The writers were pretty stupid to go like "Yeah, let's dedicate an entire episode towards taking shit about the fandom that made your show go far beyond typical "Kid's Show" syndication" I mean come On! Twilight was the Damn Princess of Friendship Around that time for crying out loud, Her and her friends never deserved the cruel treatment they received in that episode, and it kind of made Twilight becoming a princess along with The Mane 5 protecting Equestria from evil feel like it was all for nothing if Ponyville just spits in their faces for it. There are a lot of Bad MLP Episodes, but the episode Fame & Misfortune took the title with ease. I know some fans can be a bit Toxic, but I hated how it Portrayed said fans as nitpicking, whiny assholes just because they don’t unswerving praise every single thing in the show to high heaven, and not all fans are like that. Refuting criticism by using meaningless thought-terminating clichés and having the Mane Six sing a patronising song that basically says “Well we’re not flawless so shut up and stop criticising us”. That was a bad move for Hasbro to be Bitter instead of accepting some of the fans criticisms. Twilight was the Princess of Friendship Around the time for crying out loud, Her & her friends never deserved the cruel treatment they received in that episode, & it kind of made Twilight becoming a princess along with The Mane 5 protecting Equestria from evil feel like it was all for nothing if Ponyville just spits in their faces for it...I mean, Jesus. If I was Twilight, I wouldn't tolerate the toxic environment and would've fought back against the cruel environment for going too far and constantly harassing me. Do you guys agree or disagree with me on that? I still hate the F&M episode to this day because The Mane 6 never deserved the terrible treatment from Ponyville. I also found the episode to be a staple of the pride & hubris of the later show-runners.
Um, you forgot the fact Twilight somehow managed to gain the Royal Canterlot voice without any explanation or anyone talking about it later. That, and the Pinkie tackle despite Applejack being hard to push around. Also, from what the recap talked about, the reason why those two fillies were have color-issues with manes and tails is because they came from a previous MLP generation and redesigned for the present day.
*Honestly this poke towards the MLP fandom is a bit much. The season has really dragged on in story line, pushing obviously new toy products and just...AURGH! I am very disappointed on how hard it seems to be for the writers to make a reasonable episode and it shows a lot in the show. My kids use to love the show a lot but now it is like the writers are grasping at anything that was already done to come up with something. Well...Fingers crossed on the contest to win a shirt. That would be way cool to have.*
I like how they just flat out decided to ignore everything, people on the internet are one thing, they don't know where you live, they're not actually in your face or ruining your businesses/lives. These ponies are doing all of those things, and not only impacting the mane sixs' lives but also the ponies they've mentioned. Daring Doo has been outed as a real pony instead of just a book series main character, that all those treasures are real, AND THE VILLAINS ARE REAL AS WELL. Considering how big she is, this could ruin her, or at least should ruin her involvement with Rainbow Dash/Twilight. Not because I don't like them being friends, but rather so Yearling can survive.
7:15 that was the point though because they kept laughing at pinkie even though she wasn't funny nor trying to be funny and she thought she would get a laugh from them too
What about the fact literally everyone who has read the journal now knows that A. K. Yearling is Daring Do? Did nopony think about this consequence at all?!? This better come up in a later episode...
Toolaroola is actually a generation four main character, and so was Scootaloo and Cheerilee. Twilight was last seen before the 6th generation was in the first generation. In the fourth generation, Rarity looked a bit more like the other child and acted a bit more like Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Dash acted a bit more like Rarity, while still looking just about the same. I just had to say it because all I've really seen before the sixth generation was the 4th Generation movies. Also technically, we have seen the two little children before. Very often- if you were one of the earlier bronies
Fluttershy hasn't had the issue of learning something over and over since season four. They made this joke 3 years after its time. Also, that pony is definitely a Glass of Water reference.
I don't understand why the writers left Spike out of this episode. If anything, Starlight should have been left out instead. It would make more sense. Also, when Starlight said that she had a solution, I thought she would time travel back to stop Twilight from releasing copies outside of her friends.
Sin 55: If you watch the episode with no clue about the meaning towards the fandom behind it, the Mane 6 come off as living in their own reality. Sin 56: Writers throw away possible future character development material to make a point towards the fandom about not being perfect.
3:21 To be honest, I always thought it was bullshit. Characters live in a world full of magic, and it is extremely powerful and versitile. Why wouldn't it be used to solve nearly every problem? It's exactly like people in real life who say we shouldn't use technology to solve our problems. 8:07 Well, no since cutie marks aren't analogous to race. They're personal symbols or in some cases family symbol.
LIKE THE VIDEO SO RARITY FEELS BETTER!
Moliminous Are You drunk?
I liked the video
don't you worry pal
Rarity will be better in no time
Moliminous this is weird I just watched that show 10 or 12 minutes later
Moliminous this is weird I just watched that show 10 or 12 minutes later
Moliminous I watched this episode 3 hours ago.
"And I can be too eager to please" - Applejack. Missed opportunity there, Moliminous.
so true so true
Jake Berango I avoid songs a lot due to copyright issues

so starlight is taking the role of spike in this episode.
Bryan Purdey Basically
She’s pretty much the pony version of him
gee the ponies turned into the brony fandom
That's the reason the episode is made, to show how messed up the negative side on the fandom
I didn't see any fat, filthy neckbeards though. Hmm, they probably stayed at home.
nameinvalidLOL69 9:01look to the left of the screen
Yeah LOL. I actually watched this before the episode itself. There's another one with the crowd that's harassing Fluttershy.
Does this mean Daring Do's cover is blown?
I'm with you on That Question, I'm pretty sure That wasn't supposed to be Revealed to Anypony.
Only few ponies know that Daring Do is real. So it won't be a hook.
but the fillies bugging rainbow specifically mentioned when she helped daring do, so not only would everyone know she's real, but then people would start to ask questions about how A.K Yearling can record these, now, historical events in such perfect detail
Oh shit, is true!

*applauds** Thank you X3
Bill Erak Dragón Dorado i wish i could save a comment
The. Best. Comment. Ever 😍😍
It is just amazing what you had written. I love them both soo much too. They are in my "favourite characters" category 💖
Molimimous the fillies at the beginning are from other gens of MLP that's why they have crazy color schemes
I wonder if the sisters are going to put their journal for sale.... oh wait, they did.
the whole brony fandom managed to find a way into the show confirmed...
WHY WASN`T I INVITED!?
You're making me wonder if some of these characters in this episode were actually pony OCs that people have used and Hasbro liked LOL
nameinvalidLOL69 or maybe they're all ocs of the staff...DUN DUN DUUN
LPS Foxstar, maybe Derpy lost your invitation?
It's time again for good idea - bad idea.
Good idea: Sharing memories with your best friends.
Bad idea: Sharing memories with everypony.
YOU DO REALIZE THAT TOOLA ROOLA S FROM G3, RIGHT?
*+Aqua Peri* I know, right‽ So happy to see one of the main seven finally return - in her original design, that is.
Coconut Cream, too!
because G3 had SO MANY good things to come back, right....
Aqua Peri me too
Oh god. . . .
Toola roola is a time traveler.😨😱
Honestly I am so upset with the rest of Equestria like who do they think they are? But it's funny because it's pretty much a representation of fandoms
Stormy D. True
It is like they are saying to themselves: Let’s bully these ponies that saved our lives 500 times!
If the Sweet Apple Admirers wanted to be apart of the Apple Family, why didn't any of them try to marry Applejack?
I think that was the part that was more directed to oc creation. Though why they chose to do the applejack family and not something like ocxcanon is beyond me. XD i'd love to see them react to being shipped.
becouse that'd be incest..?
James W It's confusing that you misspelled "a part".
dontrequest stupid autocorrect
James W WELL WHO KNOWS MAYBE SOMEPONY ACTUALLY WANTED TO MARRY AJ.
*"WHY I'M CREATING A GOWN DARLING"*
Btw this is an episode about the fandom. XD
Lol that diary is in a worse state then if it were a century old rather then a few years, Twilight would never treat a book so badly

Jasmine The My Little pony
They put in a communist village, a dictator pone, and a manifesto... I think politics are fair game now.
..... I JUST REALIZED THAT...😐 Geez
Monarchy can stay, just remove Alicorns from power and form parliament, disband nobility it's overrated anyway.
Because Democracy is the whole problem and we are ALL still paying for that choice...
FUCK Democracy
As far as i know this was the first episode that had a problem that wasn't solved by the end...i want to know how they got rid of the croud!!!
Sunset Shimmer goes through the portal, turns into Sunset Satan and burns them. The next episode will start out normal, as if none if this ever happened.

I'd really like to know how that journal survived when Tirek blew up Golden Oaks.
Graphite Tail Grace
Probably explains why it has so much damage.
I'm pretty sure they just made this episode so he can call out all of them Bronies asking all their questions you know it and I know it
4:23 *Smacks lips* "Sorry miss our freeze machine broke but I can get you a plain Baja Blast thou-"

knew it would happen since season 1
took me a while to realize, but this episode pretty much poked fun of the worst part of the fanbase. Good move, Hasbro.

I'm not saying the show's fandom was the sole reason for the episode being created but The writers were pretty stupid to go like "Yeah, let's dedicate an entire episode towards taking shit about the fandom that made your show go far beyond typical "Kid's Show" syndication"
I mean come On!
You must admit that this episode was full of broniesxD and this was AWESOME
This episode is oddly focused on the brony fandom *adds 20 sins*
Um, you forgot the fact Twilight somehow managed to gain the Royal Canterlot voice without any explanation or anyone talking about it later. That, and the Pinkie tackle despite Applejack being hard to push around.
Also, from what the recap talked about, the reason why those two fillies were have color-issues with manes and tails is because they came from a previous MLP generation and redesigned for the present day.
My reaction when rarity turns insane: HAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHA
I liked it why it's so meta I even liked the song
*Honestly this poke towards the MLP fandom is a bit much. The season has really dragged on in story line, pushing obviously new toy products and just...AURGH! I am very disappointed on how hard it seems to be for the writers to make a reasonable episode and it shows a lot in the show. My kids use to love the show a lot but now it is like the writers are grasping at anything that was already done to come up with something. Well...Fingers crossed on the contest to win a shirt. That would be way cool to have.*
7:07 That mare coughs in a stallion's voice
The whole episode
Fans in a nutshell
4:42 That pony was in Crusaders of the lost mark, and was informed the song
"the vote."
Is it just me or does this remind me of Bronys n OCS when in a war
7:52 I'm going to be seeing that in my nightmares tonight.
Pony's Lives Matter
Felicity Felicatron3000 NOT ANYMORE!
Felicity Felicatron3000 Stfu
7:15 that was the point though because they kept laughing at pinkie even though she wasn't funny nor trying to be funny and she thought she would get a laugh from them too
if i added an episode sin, it would be (3:08) " the book just lost all of its pages and every single page is still in the book."
6:14 The book is rated 1.5 stars...
They're updated G3 designs, so yeah, colorful.
toolaroola and coconut creme are characters from gen 3
Also Maybe They Used Spray Chalk To Make A Hopscotch Game ALSO How Would Pony's Even Use Spray
This episode was the first episode were the song didn't solve the problem.
They brought back Toola-Roola. Now we wait for Starsong.
Spike must be either away at Canterlot again, visiting Thorax, or visiting Ember
I've already seen that image far to many times already
A PROBLEM THAT WASN'T SOLVED IN A SINGLE EPISODE?! Except for Nightmare Moon, Discord, ECT.
What about the fact literally everyone who has read the journal now knows that A. K. Yearling is Daring Do? Did nopony think about this consequence at all?!? This better come up in a later episode...
so true, its like they just forgot that was meant to be a secret
Doesn't the friendship is worth fighting for remind you of a line from overwatch
whether you like or hate the episode (I personally liked it), you gotta admit We're Not Flawless was pretty awesome
its my fav song in the entire show
0:42 Those are ponies from previous My Little Pony generations.
Wow! This is HILARIOUS!!! XD
Especially the part of the cutie-mark camp
4:24 Understandable, have a great day.
*nEW SHIRTS*
its like dwk said if she got an element at season 1 her element would have been empathy
"What, did they draw the hopscotch on the grass? How?"
Tape. Also there's paint that goes on grass.
Toola Roola or whatever looks like the G2 Rarity
I also just realized I had never realized the ponies stopped writing in the book.
You missed out an animation error, the one colt was lighting up his horn but not the book to levitate it, it had twilight's aura on the book.
Minus one sin for that amazing song.
6:43
And who signs a hardcover book on the COVER?
suddley that pic of rarity reminds me of the creepy pasta lil miss rarity
Yeah,I was confused when Spike wasn't in the episode as well
Fluttershy hasn't had the issue of learning something over and over since season four. They made this joke 3 years after its time. Also, that pony is definitely a Glass of Water reference.
5:36 - They're fans because Twilight is a *PRINCESS!!* The same reason everpony wanted to go on that air cruise!
Why do ponies care if Fluttershy is assertive or not? Also that face rarity made in the boutique terrified me...@-@
You get 1 sin because I like your thumbnail and because I find it funny.
Sin 34, I wanna rip their heads off, how can they NOT FUCKING LOVE RARITY?! I MEAN CMON! I SHOULD RANT ON AND ON...But I won't, I
That moment when you say the sentence correctly...
You're the element of honesty Applejack, an honestly, we don't want them in your house.
omg yess!! i was waiting for this :DD
I don't understand why the writers left Spike out of this episode. If anything, Starlight should have been left out instead. It would make more sense. Also, when Starlight said that she had a solution, I thought she would time travel back to stop Twilight from releasing copies outside of her friends.
It's not the first time a problem was't solved in one episode. Don't you remember all the two- parters?
6:43
Were did she get that pencil
CherryPop Lps the Guy Had The Pencil And Pinkie Pie Took It To Sign The Book
The hopscotch would be painted in if its like football field
Sin 55: If you watch the episode with no clue about the meaning towards the fandom behind it, the Mane 6 come off as living in their own reality.
Sin 56: Writers throw away possible future character development material to make a point towards the fandom about not being perfect.
TOOLA ROOLA IS A G3 PONY
The irony of this is beyond palpable
i wonder how much there life will change in future episodes because they are super famous now or if the show will completely ignore it?
Alarna Boughtflower ignore it probably
yeah, that is what they do with a lot of stuff
Rarity talking about being fabulous as much as Rainbow Dash talking about being how awesome she is. I didn't know Rarity had that much of an ego.
Toola Roola isn't an OC, her character was in the previous MLP generations, she's actually older than twilight
Shoot i need to watch that episode now so that i can relate!
0:59 there originally gen 3 ponies
I know it was meant to satirical but, I don't hate any of the characters in the show Spike or otherwise
Poor spike he dosen't get enough love 😥😥
True so true this was what I was thinking when I first saw it.
Personally I think Apple Jack should have said that family has to help with chores. That's what my adopted family has to do.
