There's another in "A Health of Information", where Zecora gets infected with a near incurable disease that turns ponies into the same tree that spreads the disease, which leaves a dark implication of other trees being infected victims and leaving it up in the air if they're even still conscious or not. In other words, implied body horror.
That was a real dark one ngl, they didn't even try to make it subtle. Even a kid would tell that meant death or an entire life of stillness and suffering.

And how they show in the season 5 finale of the 'alternative timeline' where there was a massive war going on against King Sombra and showing the depressing reality of a war like that and the effects it had on Equestria. Also, tackling issues about racism, first with Zecora and in the later seasons different species other than ponies. And much more. @ this is a snippet of the summary on the wiki “Rockhoof gives up all hope. Remembering the story of Discord's defeat from earlier, he tells Twilight to turn him to stone, deciding that his only use in modern times is as a statue in a museum. Twilight vehemently refuses to carry out Rockhoof's request, but Rockhoof begs her, wanting to be remembered as the hero he used to be rather than the disappointment he is now.” The worst part is that Twilight almost actually did it
@@MontanasComics072 the general idea most got out of it is that the world moved on and he wasn't needed anymore. His skills and bravery leaving him irrelevant as time passes on while his closest allies found ways to fit in with no real issues. The idea that he can't do anything right, and that no one would care about him anymore, and the willingness to be turned to stone was taken as a metaphor for "giving up on life" since he wouldn't technically be alive anymore. He is my favorite of the pillars for how real he is, even in the context of the show. I have known people who thought like him, and even been there myself, so Rockhoof, this massive hero of legends, having such thoughts makes him very relatable and understanding to those who need help
My little pony is such a good show because it can be equally as good for a young kid as an adult. I’ve watched it basically all my life, and I still like it a lot, and Im 17 now!! (Wait, im… 17?? Oh no, oh nonono too old take me back)
Do you see season 7?Because if not, the story from this "scary episode in the castle" continues 3 seasons later. The ghost story you're talking about was the shadow pony, which if you remember was Pinkie Pie but at the end, a shadow appeared informing that it was indeed real and you know what? Not only was the shadow pony really real, but he was also the main villain of season 7 who wanted to plunge all of Equestria into darkness, as he believed that Star Swirl and the 5 legends (new characters in the series) had betrayed him! There's also a scary scene in the finale where he talks to Twilight and tells her "The darkness embraced me when no one else did, and I'll do anything to protect it even if I have to destroy you all" and then he's enveloped in darkness and attacks all characters, both the ones you know and the new ones as well.
@@totallx_not_moon You're welcome! Also to know, season 7 is the last good season. Both 8 and 9 also have some nice episodes, but the writing quality is way off. It doesn't remind me at all of the old series it was. It's looks like a total different show after Starlight's import.
They also subtly imply that late stage capitalism is worse than all of these things. In the episode where Starlight is redeemed, Twilight says that every alternate universe is worse than the last. Flim and Flam is one of the final realities they show

most of these things are nothing that will disturb a kid. even the scenes you think are "mAsS mUrDeR" or "aDuLt JoKeS" or whatever are literally downplayed to make it innocent enough for kids.
I remember seeing an animation of the real pinkie pie being stuck in the pool with the other clones and it scared me for life 😭
A rockhoof and a hard place. All I’m gonna say is A rockhoof and a hard place
what's it about? I'm only one season 4 so I don't know?
@ this is a snippet of the summary on the wiki “Rockhoof gives up all hope. Remembering the story of Discord's defeat from earlier, he tells Twilight to turn him to stone, deciding that his only use in modern times is as a statue in a museum. Twilight vehemently refuses to carry out Rockhoof's request, but Rockhoof begs her, wanting to be remembered as the hero he used to be rather than the disappointment he is now.” The worst part is that Twilight almost actually did it
@@thegreatkompass wow that kind of dark
Oh no, oh nonono too old take me back)
Mood
I don't want to be released into the constraints of adulthood yet -
Just five more minutes please ToT
(Stranger pfp spotted?1!1?1)
I should thank Dan VS. for getting me into watching MLP:FIM.

Yup totally for kids and I fking love this series
Remember that one episode were they are in the old castle with this ghost story? This always scared the shit outta me
Do you see season 7?Because if not, the story from this "scary episode in the castle" continues 3 seasons later.
@ i did not watch season 7😭, thank you for this information!
Flim and Flam is one of the final realities they show
1:48 we have now entered my little salad fingures IYKYK
Man i swear to god how did Starlight was allowed to be in a kids show
2:58 there was also a whole episode about SH (I dont remember what episode but i think it was the one where Luna went in everyones dreams
Yes! It's the episode "Do princesses dream of magic sheep?"
Well, it’s a gentle way of saying that the world isn’t all cupcakes and rainbows…
1:07 sounds like a far cry outpost XD
PUTTING SMILE HD AT THE END BRO...
😈😈😈😈😈
one of my favourite shows that is definitely made for kids
The scene Fluttershy was talking to that dragon got me dying lol 🤣🤣🤣
lol! I don't really know if it was indented.
@MontanasComics072 lol 🤣🤣🤣 that really got me wheezing
Shocked there was no mention of Twilight vs Tirek which was straight out of Dragon Ball Z but otherwise, I fucking love this show
wtf is so "nOt FoR kIdS" about pear butter and her bf (forgot the name) dying? it literally doesn't even SHOW their death, and I'm sure kids already know everyone dies.
The BF is Bright Mac!
The outro just gave me childhood trauma😭😭😭
😈😈😈😈😈
I know
as someone who has never seen this show....i can confirm...not for kids-i mean for kids...i mean....i don't know what anymore
It's a family show, the main demographic was children.
You know. *FOR KIDS!*
Oh my god your outro is the dark smile song video and you cut it before Pinkie Pie actually unalives them haha
2:58 I could hear the voice of someone who... just literally fills the LittleShy FIM channel. Maybe it actually CineMare Sins or IDK...

Number 6: AVARDA KADARVA
Thousand yard stare jesus christ smile flashbacks
It is for kids, it's just that this one had top notch quality while most shows for kids are brainrot material
