@@MontanasComics072 NP! self harm is a crazy thing to talk about in a kids show but tbh they did execute incredibly well - and in a way where it's not traumatizing for the target audience lmao. top 10 episode for me imo
There's another in "A Health of Information", where Zecora gets infected with a near incurable disease that turns ponies into the same tree that spreads the disease, which leaves a dark implication of other trees being infected victims and leaving it up in the air if they're even still conscious or not. In other words, implied body horror.
And that’s not mentioning the comics, like Chrystalis killing a kitten in front of CMC, Cosmos fusing many characters together, Nightmare Monsters torturing Rarity both physically as well as mentally and don’t even get me started with the Umbrum
My little pony is such a good show because it can be equally as good for a young kid as an adult. I’ve watched it basically all my life, and I still like it a lot, and Im 17 now!! (Wait, im… 17?? Oh no, oh nonono too old take me back)
You did a great job with this. Everytime someone says something like "oh it's a girly show or kiddy show or not masculinity shown here I'ma show them your video. Good video summary of this. I will sub. Especially for your age cause I just turned 16 and you've put all this effort finding this stuff.
@ this is a snippet of the summary on the wiki “Rockhoof gives up all hope. Remembering the story of Discord's defeat from earlier, he tells Twilight to turn him to stone, deciding that his only use in modern times is as a statue in a museum. Twilight vehemently refuses to carry out Rockhoof's request, but Rockhoof begs her, wanting to be remembered as the hero he used to be rather than the disappointment he is now.” The worst part is that Twilight almost actually did it
@@MontanasComics072 the general idea most got out of it is that the world moved on and he wasn't needed anymore. His skills and bravery leaving him irrelevant as time passes on while his closest allies found ways to fit in with no real issues. The idea that he can't do anything right, and that no one would care about him anymore, and the willingness to be turned to stone was taken as a metaphor for "giving up on life" since he wouldn't technically be alive anymore. He is my favorite of the pillars for how real he is, even in the context of the show. I have known people who thought like him, and even been there myself, so Rockhoof, this massive hero of legends, having such thoughts makes him very relatable and understanding to those who need help
The half: friendship is good ,even if it doesnt always work sometimes youl fight but its part of friendship The other half: murder and im mentally unstable 😊
Man I know how you feel, my sister bugs me about liking this show as well. Sad thing is she used to like it as well, but she grew out of it and I didn't
Yeah and dont forget all the times when the ponies have said racist things about other species like zebras and changelings.
oh yeah forgot about those!
@@MontanasComics072
What is the ost?
There was also that one episode where luna created a monster to torture her in her sleep

I never read the comics, but that's sounds dark...
@ you should, if you have a free time.
While most of them are not-canon (sadly), I’ll argue that they have the best stories MLP has to offer
@@graveslayer9666
So cosmos created a chimera
@@ObadiahQRex basically, but made of ponies
@@graveslayer9666
Were they ever freed?
3:01 that part was scaring kids a lot so they censored it
And also you could have added the scene where twilight fights tirek
@@Japan736 ohh yeah HOW did I forget that!!!!
This just proves my opinion that cartoons are not just for kids, but for everyone.
yeah I wish everybody knew that!
"She shoots herself out of a canon knowing she woun't survive." Guess that's a new combo word now.
Don't forgetThe whole Starlight's dream in episode "A Royal Problem"
yeah I guess I did forget...

My little pony is a perfect example of the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover.”
yeah I know!
There was also literal SLAVERY during one episode with King Sombra 😭
yeah I know!
4:57 never understood why the internet made pinkie pie a serial killer
I think because she's TOO nice, and "Party Of One" shows she can get crazy.
Your sister only needs more friendship
The show is designed to appeal to all ages and multiple demographics which is why it has all of the stuff you mentioned in this video
yeah I know! this video is for people (like my sister) that just think its for little kids)
