    Only found your channel yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it . I really like the way you treat every koi as an important life, especially as you have so many - they aren't units or pieces (that's for inanimate objects), they are all a living being, deserving respect.....and very sweet too ! I've been keeping koi for 42 years and still love them as much ever 🙂👍

    Hey Adam, another splendid video many thanks. Towards the end, you mentioned the Sturgeon you had. What was the reason you got rid of it? Did it get too big or was it not compatible with your Koi 'heated pool choice' temperature requirements?

    • @AdamJulyan
      @AdamJulyan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Glad you like the video 🙂 I loved my Sturgeon he was great but he was a bit wild I had two one was really sociable but unfortunately ended up falling out of the pond. The Wild one did not like the koi and wasn't very happy especially when he got to 5ft he would have a tantrum every now and then. but also my pond unheated easily gets to 25DegC In summer and that is the limit for Sturgeon. Im into SCUBA diving and got talking to a guy with an 8 acre lake with other Sturgeon in and he said they would love to have him so i took him there I still regularly see videos of him divers have done and he is huge now as the lake is full of fresh water muscles so he has lots of food.

      Yeah it's the aftermath of the filter change and the fish getting aggressive they are getting better and I'm well on top of it. I've been thinking about making a video specifically on treating that sort of thing but not managed it yet as handling the fish and camera is really hard work.

    • @AdamJulyan
      @AdamJulyan  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah i believe so a lot of koi suppliers put their own label on it for some reason. Fish love bread or mine do anyway 🙂

    • @Tom_Prendiville
      @Tom_Prendiville 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As a flour Miller id like to ad my 2pence and say, make sure its wholemeal and not white bread as white bread is wholemeal but has the bran (fibre) removed.
      Never use brown bread for human or other as it has far too many unnecessary ingredients and is actually bad for us humans in comparison to all others.
      Wholemeal is as stated, its the whole of the grain sometimes referred to as wholemeal or wholegrain.
      Wheatgerm is the growing tip from the wheat grain (in simple terms) and commands a higher price.
      Have a great day 😀
